Hi, all. Here is my metamorph theme for CyanogenMod 6.1. It is fully compatible with latest nightlies(tested from 149 to 163), CM 6.1.0 RC 1 and DeFrost (from 5.9 to 6.0). It also should be compatible with every other ROM based on CM 6, and should work on Nexus, Droid 1 and other HDPI phones.
Warning!
1.S-OFF IS NEEDED!!!!
2. MAKE NANDROID BEFORE APPLYING THE THEME!!!!!
3. I am not responsable for any damage of you phone (hardware or software). All you will do is on your own RISK!!!
4. Please, read all thread before do something.
Instractions:
1. Install Metamorph from Market.
2. Download Zip with theme from attachment.
3. Unzip the theme to your SD in AndroidTheme folder.
4. Launch Metamorph and on first start allow SU permitions for it.
(Don't disable checks in settings of MMorph, it could cause the theme not to be aoolied).
5. Choose in MM "Pick Up existing theme" and browse to the folder "DroidX_0.2"
6. Choose DroidX02.xml file.
7. That 's it. Now you can apply theme to apps. It is recomened to apply theme to every other app separatly.
P.S. RECOMENDATIONS
1. Apply framework-res theme at first If the phone doesn't reboot automaticaly, reboot it manualy.
2. Apply Phone.apk theme at second. There will be a lot of FC. Don't panic. Pull out the battery and reboot.
3. After applying of some app thmes you can get a soft reboots. It is normal. Just run MMorph again and start from the place where you get reboot.
ADDITIONS:
1. For the full feeling of DRoid X you could download DroidX theme for ADW from Market. All changes made for ADW Launcher in this theme are changes in selections colour and icons in add menu.
2. For ppl who use LauncherPro i recommend download and inslall the themed LP from here http://www.launcherpro.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4529#p22194
KNOWN ISSUES:
1. Some colours (especially progress bars in Music Player, in Market, in volume adjustment) are still orange, not RED. <----Solved
2. LatinIME has DroudX skin, but letters stay white too. So, it is for you to decide apply the theme to it or Not.
If anyone know how to fix this issues, please contact me im PM or write in tthread.
Changelog:
v. 0.2 - initial release
v. 0.3 - add Galaxy S like Dialer (if someone doesn't like GalaS dialer, there's "Contacts_v.1" folder in the packege with contacts from ver. 0.2. Just delete Contacts folder and rename Contacts_v.1 in Contacts, add GenieWidget new icon, solved issue withh progress bars, wich now are RED, like in original Droid X.
Applying now. (It looks good on the screens)
Edit: How long does it normally take to apply the framework-res.apk? Mine has been applying for 10 minutes!
It depends on the settings in Metamorth. You can make applying time shorter, but it could cause soft reboots happen a bit often.

Warnings!:
* Flashing this zip will factory reset your phone!
* PLEASE CHECK THE LIST OF APPS REMOVED DOWN BELOW!!!!!
* I am removing apps that I don't need! Key word being "I". So by flashing this you are accepting my conditions. In other words, I get to choose what apps are being deleted. If you have a request of an app you don't want removed, you can easily search for the apk file on the internet or on Google Playstore. If you have a request of an app you want removed but is not included in my zip, and enough people request it, I can update my file (or you can update it yourself, if you want) to delete extra apps or exclude them from being deleted.
* Since there are a lot of apps that I am removing, there's a big possibility that I may break something like a feature YOU may be interested in. Be warned that you may experience sudden FC or a feature you want not to work. Please report if anything that YOU use is not working so I can add it to the not working list. Report No. 1
first of all... thank you for a great job. your rom-mod-script turn the device from a piece of sh*t to a usable smartphone these days...
camera, bluetooth, wifi, mtp, all work like a charm but i find some strange things with the software so far:
- i had a loop with the "samsung weather location" in the config menu (in the first boot, when we introduce our google account) it don't let me agree whit the terms. i had to disagree to enter to home screen.
- when i change the value on "app screen grid" (4x4 5x5 6x6) it does change it but don't show the icons... i need to reboot device to see the changes.
- i can't delete the second home screen. it don't show the garbage icon when i long-hold the side screen.
- "home screen settings > home screen layout > home screen only" crash.. force to close.
i know this are software bugs. but i'm just reporting it.

The script factory resets your phone, deteles bloatware, and then installs S8 icons and launcher. It is still stock settings, it just replaces a few things.

Yes, it seems that location is set to "Device only". Weather location tries to change it to change it to "high accuracy" but it crashes the app. You need to change to "High accuracy" manually and then try to set up weather via the widget.

Hello OP.
i have a question so maybe you can help me.
I edit your script and added some lines to delete in system and priv-app (samsung contacts, email, fbinstaller, etc.) but i end up somehow erasing the dialer app (my guess is that is connected to samsungcontacts app). Trying to find de apk of the dialer i found this thread ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/mod-google-pixel-contact-dialer-t3479715 ) and it works great to me... so my questions is:
If i want to add to your script the google dialer&contact apk, i just need to copy the respective files in the "priv-app" folder? substituting the "samsungInCallUI" folder?
thanks in advance for your comments.
-edit-
Also, i saw you have 2 files in the META-INF folder: 1.-updater-script and 2.-WORKING... wich one is the one? or it need the two file to debloat device?
thanks for your comments.

I'm almost sure you don't have to replace "SamsungInCallUI" as I think that's specific with the Samsung dialer, or so I would think.
I would go ahead and delete that folder
Yes, all you would need to do is copy the GoogleContacts and GoogleDialer folders in the priv-app folder
And as for the updater-script, you can ignore the one that says "WORKING"
When I was testing the script, I couldn't get the format /data function to work properly and it kept making some apps crash
The "WORKING" script was the first version of the script I got to work on this device. After that, I kept editing the script until I got it to work
So, "updater-script" formats /data correctly and "WORKING" just factory resets without formatting /data

thanks for the comments... i will try and delete "working" file.
by the way, do you think i'll f*ck up the device if i add the line "system/priv-app/SmartManager_v4" (device maintenance) to your debloat script?
sorry for all the questions.. its just that i like purging bloatware.

thanks for the comments... i will try and delete "working" file.
by the way, do you think i'll f*ck up the device if i add the line "system/priv-app/SmartManager_v4" (device maintenance) to your debloat script?
sorry for all the questions.. its just that i like purging bloatware.

Well, I really can't tell for sure. I mean all that it really does is eliminate temporary files and close background apps. You can certainly try, but again, I always recommend a backup first
Hi.
My Teclast Master T10 just got upgraded to PhoenixOS 2.0.0 via OTA. I got no warning that this would make me lose widgets, which are a key feature for me. I've tried both "tablet" and "fake Windows" mode.
Is there any way to get widgets in PhoenixOS 2.0, or to get rid of it and get back to something sensible ? PhoenixOS won't even let me install an alternative Launcher...
Thanks for any help.

Widgets are just like gadgets on Windows 7.
Why won't you get it back in Phoenix OS 2.6.7?
No, really I'm not joking about that.
Hey - Hello. total newbie with a Teclast TBook and wanting to move to an all android system. It dual boots to wither Win10 or Android. I want to blow it all away and simply do Android. Any written step-by-step or videos available?? Russ. [email protected] (many many many thanx for any help or direction)
I found the missing widgets!!!
I've found a way to get widgets back! The side effects are we loose a little screen/desktop area on the side of the screens, and the app drawer reappears.
To accomplish:
1) Download total commander (file explorer)
2) navigate to: /System/App/FileManager
3) rename FileManager.apk to FileManager.apk1
4) reboot your system
5) enjoy
To revert back:
1) Navigate to same path as above
2) remove the 1 from the end of the file name
3) reboot your system
Thoughts:
1) You will loose a little screen space, as the resolution, screen settings will revert to Android x86
2) To use widgets long press on the home screen
3) This does not remove the Phoenix os navigation bar
4) This will get rid of your recycle bin and "my computer" functionality
The developers were really sneaky, and FileManager.apk is what's driving the hiding of widgets, app drawer, etc. I haven't figured out yet what else it manages, but I do not it is not responsible for not being able to load new launchers. Haven't figured that part out yet.
Enjoy!

Can you tell me how I can get access rights that I can rename the file?
I would like to make the same change to myself.
