Which language do I have to learn?
Java?
For apps you need to know Java and XML. For a whole ROM, you need those and, I'm not sure about this, you need to know C and/or C++

i try to make thrugh eclipse & android sdk ,not get sussess?
but hack droid & many other make costom rom but they using cynomode cm & i thing they are not using above tools?
You can't obviously learn a programming language by your own! I learned Java from a channel on youtube wich provides tutorials for many languages. Search youtube for "thenewboston"

Hi everyone, i am graduating in T.I here in Brasil.
I know C / C++ Programming, Java (Standard and Android Programming aswell).
I was wondering,what should i need to start helping all great developers like Kyrillos,Rudolf,Apolo and their teams to develop those custom roms.
Also,how hard it is ?

Post in general section bro. You don t need extensive C/C++ or Java unless you developing kernel or editing, making new frameworks and apks.

Hm, what exactly makes those custom ROMS faster than the stock ones ?
My bet is that the little ( and lower level , like assembly , C ) tweaks that make them faster.
Am i Wrong ? I really dont know,this is my only shot to be honest

actually custom roms are nothing else then stock with a litle photoshop, some added/removed apks and repacked. they dont get realy much faster than a stock rom except if they contain a custom kernel, where the full potential of customization lies. with your knowledge you should concentrate on kernel development, there is a thread here describing all needed to get your own kernel up and running, have a look at the fugumod and the g3mod kernel thread to see what goals are already accieved and find your own customizations to make the g3 better. also u could pick up on the graphics driver project posted here somewhere, iirc nobody took the plunge yet to do this, and youd be the hero for many of us if u get it runing...

Hello am trying to develop a rom myself so SGS2 ,and i have a few questions for the developers.
Where do you get your base rom?(When i mean base rom,i mean the stock samsung rom which you start building on.)
Then.What program do you use for editing apks and other things.

Subject was given by xda as default ... not me
Did search but the message wasn't clear, that's why i thought perhaps it could be clearer here.
Programming as in what's required to make an app or in rom related tweaking (changing build.prop)

That depends of what do you wanna do, you can learn Java and the Android framework to develop apps or C/C++ for ROM develop..., just google some tuto and read

The thing is I want to create my own custom rom but not such as I want to do is decompile / disassemble a rom, and try not to use linux but I could not, and therefore I am very determined and want to do my rom .
I would like to help me as hacerlo.Tambien try copying system files, as is the sytem folder but when I flash the rom failed.

Ummm ... tools ? ... Well for app development you'd need an IDE ... i'd suggest Eclipse Or Android Studio ...Then since you're app communication with an external server, i recommend you take a look at This framework Android-Query which simplifies Network Tasks ... And .. All the Best ! :good:
Well, if you have no experience at all, I suggest just starting out small. It's pretty difficult to make something like that without prior knowledge.
If you have no experience you should start with something easier!
I suggest learning how to spell out your words first before even trying to make an app. Unless your target is 11 year olds.

Wow, that's a sophisticated app to start with. It will require a lot of components include client, server, push notification, synchronization... I suggest you start with an offline simple app first
