You know, he's the first person ever. This application started in late September last year and has now got over 94600+ downloads and NO ONE has EVER done that before. Do I need to put 'Are you sure?' questions in or something?

I don't think it would have helped him LOL. Maybe incompatible file would have.

Maybe I am doing something wrong. Let me check the permissions on the zip.
That did it. Somehow the perms got screwed up when I moved it in.
Sorry about that.

Hi,
Is there any way you can change the "android 3.1 boot sequence"
if you change it to just "android boot sequence" or make an "android 3.2 boot sequence" version...
you would be able to use it on all versions of the droid if it was "android boot sequence"
thanks

No this is not. Some Chinese Developers have taken this out from One x and have ported it successfully to 480*800 devices and seems to work completely.
Its just that we prove that the Chinese people are ahead to us, cos we cant make use of this.
Hope some senior developer would be surely able to find and know whats this and of what use to HTC, cos those Chinese people went gaga over the same file that I shared here.
Lets hope for the very best.

[MOD][Bootanimation]Energy BIOS Boot Animation for U8800

I completely edited the Energy BIOS boot animation to U8800, besides the android animation at the end.
On ICS 2.02
1- Download "Energy BIOS boot animation for U8800.zip" and copy it to your SDcard
2- Press and hold POWER button.
3- Hit "Reboot"
4- Hit "Recovery" and "OK"
5- After CWM runs, hit "Install zip from SDcard"
6- Choose "Energy BIOS boot animation for U8800.zip"
7- Hit Yes - Install "Energy BIOS boot animation for U8800.zip"
8- Hit "Back" on your soft buttons
9- Hit "Reboot System"
10- Benefit!
Other ROMS
I have not tried it on any other ROMS but ICS 2.02. I am going to add the "bootanimation.zip" as an attachment. Following method should work on other custom and official roms.
1- Download "bootanimation.zip"
2- Copy it to your SDcard.
3- Copy the file and replace it with the one on system/media with rootexplorer.
4- Reboot your device.
You may also push the "bootimage.zip" to system/media with SDK.
IN CASE YOU MAY WANT TO RECOVER YOUR OLD BOOTIMAGE, RENAME THE ONE ON SYSTEM/MEDIA TO ANYTHING.

I can say that it is completely different from the one you used besides the android animation at the end. U8800 specs, logo, and new font added. It means that nothing left from the boot animation but the android animation.
I am glad you liked and using it.
I like this animation, but when I flashed it through CWM, it didn't change it. So i looked where the bootanimation.zip was stored, it was in /system/media/, so i copied it to /data/local where it should be and it works now. I think it even boots faster compared to previous animation. Thanks!
Nice work, I really like the design, much better than the original Aurora animation, imho.
Thanks for your work

So how am I being stupid?
Open link in Chrome and it takes me to all the images. Without any ability to just grab the file.
Open the link in Next and I have the option to open with Drive. In Drive it opens to the two folders and the desc.text file, I extract them to my sdcard, select them all and zip them into bootanimation.zip move them to system/media and change the permissions. However, when I check properties it shows up as rdx-r, click change and it shows they are set rw-r-r, what the heck am I doing wrong?

This is really nice, definitely going to use it. Is it just a resize of lower resolution images, or could the original developer actually make it in the higher resolution images?

I love the design of the animation and installed it successfully, but in my eyes it looks a little soft.
Perhaps because its source is lower resolution...
It would be so cool to have this animation in full screen resolution, but i think this is not easy to get.

[MOD][BOOTANIMATION] Fixed stock Google bootanimation (fixes Google's derp) 20140402

my fixed version:
if you can't see the difference, you don't have OCD about little details like i do
see attachments for download.
bootanimation.zip is just the boot animation file if you want to push it to your system partition manually.
google_bootanim_fixed_flashable.zip is flashable via TWRP or CWM.
enjoy!

also, to return back to stock, use this flashable zip, kindly provided by @BrianAllred

Personally, I'm not sure how Google let it slip through the cracks looking like it did. It makes it feel like an unfinished project, and it lacks fluidity. It's like when you're about to sneeze, then you suddenly lose the urge - MADNESS!

I know, I'd rather use yours if I wanted stock-looking boot, I just provide the actual stock boot as a resource in case someone that uses my BIOS boot needs it (which is only the case when I corrupt a zip file).
I have quite bad OCD but I literally never noticed this until now! Probably cause I rarely turn my phone off so never see the animation!

No problem at all. I was thinking about linking this in my animation thread, as an alternative to stock boot if people tried mine and didn't like it. Is that cool?

Is it possible to do a sons of anarchy boot animation as well as a small clip of the sons of anarchy theme song for nexus 5?? Just curious
