Anyone notice their phone is faster after the Skyfire fix?

I have the latest update DI18 and just completed the skyfire flash fix and now my phone seems to load pages faster. Anyone else notice that? I have a stock un-rooted rom.
Internet in general is improved since update. The streaming fix helped with YouTube stalling in HQ mode, so yeah some improvements in general.

I got the hint of a streaming fix for streaming apps from SDX here, http://forum.sdx-developers.com/android-2-1/(solved)-android-2-1-streaming-apps/

Tether to Zune HD

Hey,
I can't seem to get my Zune hd to jump on my Droid 2 Network, anyone knows how could i do this?
i already tried using the latest version of the Wifi tether
Thanx!
just confirming i couldn't get it to work either. I rooted my phone and that was the first thing i downloaded and was disappointed when it didn't seem like wireless tethering worked, but i tried my fathers DX and it connected to my droid 2 fine
You might try goggling "google wifi tether" and see if that application fixes it. I'm not familiar with the zune hd so I don't have any specifics.

Trust me, i used every search method available NOTHING. the only thing that would work is a tethering application capable of Infrastructure tethering
For some reason I thought it was capable of infrastructure mode. My bad.
I've heard there was a way to hack the 3G hotspot so that it doesn't charge you but I don't remember if it's been proven okay on the D2 or not.
EDIT: Now I remember where I read it. It was in the Android Development section>the sticky from Darkonion "Droid 2 Information Directory":
3G Hotspot for Droid 2
Hosted on Droid Forums, see post #4 for info.

This hack is not legal and violates your Terms Of Service from VZW (from a post in the link) But allows infrastructure mode with the existing 3G hotspot app without costing you the VZW rates!
Here's another one from the Info Dierectory that can do it without being rooted:
How to: Rootless 3G Mobile Hotspot - AP/Infrastructure Mode (by Tekahuna)
In the Droid X section, but should work for D2 as well!

I guess i'll wait for a infrastructure tethering app. I don't think that hacking the big red own app a good idea lol
thanks for the help!

Connecting Atrix to TV via hdmi

I went to Bestbuy this morning and was checking out the Atrix when I was told by a BB employee that you can hook up a bluetooth keyboard and connect the hdmi cable to the phone and tv and use it as a computer if you don't have the lapdock.
is this true?
I really don't think the dude knew what he was talking about because he kept saying that only the Inspire handset is capable of working on the new HSPA+ network. I kept telling him the Atrix can too and he had to go get a manager to confirm....wtf.
But anyway, is that the case? You can connect the Atrix to the TV via hdmi and have the same kind of experience you would have as if you had the lapdock?

No, it's not the case with stock. There are some people working on it so that it will be possible, but they haven't cracked it yet.
It used to be, but Motorola changed it so that you needed the dock because of friendly user feedback.

Oh, ok....When he said all that, it didn't even sound correct. But he so happy, I thought he was having an asthma attack just from talking about it. His eyes was all big ..I was like wow. I hurried up and left after that experience.
There's now a hack to enable webtop without the lapdock or HDMI dock here.
You can also find an HDMI mirroring hack here. Just remember to connect the HDMI cable before running the app for the first time.

Not sure if it it relevant now that it was brought up from the dead, but with the lapdock I can surf the net with the built in browser instead of Firefox. Not sure if its the same with the multimedia docking station though. From what I remembered a tethering plan was not needed with that kit but I was told you could still surf the net.
Thread cleanup, back on topic please.
I noticed that. I got to this thread from a google search, so I figured I'd add pointers to the more recent threads answering the question. Terribly sorry if this somehow offended you.

Yeah, it's kinda funny how that happens on XDA. Sometimes they'll announce tricks on the Portal I assumed everyone already knew about months ago. People found this easter egg out before the Xoom was even released.
So the message of this story is to tap the hell out of the Android Version tab in settings every time we update to a new version of Android.... GOT IT!! XD

Sorry about that, B Dizzle! I simply didn't see your post. It was not intentional.
I found your post and have changed the link on the portal.
Since this is a duplicate, I am closing this thread. Please use B Dizzle's Thread for further discussion of this Easter Egg.
PS. In the future if I miss something, please PM me and I will promptly correct it. In addition to being more discreet, I will be able to respond sooner.

I am asking if he has tried it, no clue if it fixes or not, it was just a sugestion/inquiry.. It potentially could change the way the app acts so in theory it might make a difference. It was just an idea, sorry I'm not more help.

no i'm just wondering because it would seem a color issue seems like something chainfire is meant for, and I just wanted to confirm if you tested it or not.

Atrix is not listed as supported device as of yet. Photon works so I am assuming a fix is on its way. Chainfire 3D does not make a difference to the purple/pink tint
It's not just you.

I downloaded it after reading this thread and I can load games and all but the screen is kind of pink indeed.

found out how
Dowload "filter your screen" from the market and when installed apply a greenish tint.
You may have to mess around with the color.
Update was just released and it resolves this issue.

I played Lego batman as soon as the update was released last night. Gotta say that I love Onlive.
