Hi everyone, i'm using MIUI nand rom in my hd2, but due to my usage i need to upgrade my memory card, but how can i do it without losing my data and rom and apps? i have only 1 fat32 partition in my card. Can i just copy and paste everything from my old card to new card and insert the new card into my phone?
Anyone has any idea, your help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Yes, as long as you're not using an ext partition (A2SD, Data2SD, etc) then all you'll need to do is C&P everything from the old card to the new one.
I see, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Hey guys,
I bought a mini sdhc 4gb store card to replace my onde one.
Is possible migrate all the software and data I have on my 1gb storage to this new one without having to hardreset and reinstalll/ uninstall all the programs ?
When I change my SD card, my phone freeezes because of some interaction with the currently 1g SD card but when I boot using Safe mode I see that the 4 gb card is fully functional.

I'm running WP7 and, from the the SD, Android.
Now, I'm using an 8Gb Sandisk SD, 4Gb used by the WP7 unknown file system and 4Gb by the Android FAT32 partition. Since I put a lot of stuff in WP7, it's getting closer to be full sooner and sooner.
Is it possible to resize the partition - let's say 6Gb WP7/2Gb Android - without losing data? Has anyone of you already tried doing it?
Thanks!
There are many reformatting and partitioning applications out there, but they wipe the data of your sd card. Since its on the sd card just backup(move) all the info onto your pc.
Hope this helps
If I helped please hit the thanks button!
i have tried an tried, but each time i inserted the sd card then wp7 didn't recognize it untill i hard reset the phone and wp7 destroys the partition info again and all of the sd card is assigned to wp7 again.

bump up the same question.
1 - Are all data on my SD card r gone after i flash WP7?
2 - If I prepared the partition of Sd Card to run android and wp7 will the data be deleted?
Thanks in advance .
Sorry, but another basic question which I've searched for the answer but can't find an answer that makes sense to me.
I have an x8 running on Gingerdx v010. Runs great.
I have just been given a 8gb Micro SD Card, Class 10.
What's the best way to go about swapping the stock sd card with this new one - do i just copy and paste all off the old sd card onto my desktop, and then copy all that back to the new sd card?
Or do I need to partition the card in any special way?
I'm a beginner at this, so please don't get too technical!
I'd like to put some music on the new card, and I reckon i've got a few GB of albums etc to put on it. also, will probably try to put as much as possible on it to make sure there's plenty of available RAM in the internal memory.
Thanks in anticipation of your help.
This is a really useful site - glad I found it.

bump... anyone?
Backup copy/move all the files in old sdcard to PC. Insert your new sdcard and boot, enter CWM>advanced option>partition sdcard>select 512mb>then zero swap. reboot. Then copy/move ur files to new sdcard You can also partition using windows You just need partition if you are installing many apps like me
Partitioning is not required, just copy data over from old card to new card.
Hi all, i have a 16gb class2 card. I bought a new 32 gb class10 card. Is there a way to transfer my existing wp7 partition and contents as is to the new card and increase the size.
I have WP7.8 from Ansar on my WP7 partition, which is about 7.5GB. Then I have an EXT4 partition (2GB) and a FAT32 partition (5GB) for my NativeSD android rom.
Can i transfer the whole contents to the new SD card, and double the size of each partition, without having to reinstall? I am not that worried about Android, as i can sync from google servers, its WP7 that i am worried about, as a lot of effort has gone into finding and installing the right apps and customizing the start screen in a certain way etc.
Any kind of help or tips from prior experience in doing this would be extremely appreciated.
Thanks
WP created that partition when you flashed that ROM & I don't know any software that can do that & WP is very picky when it comes to partition.
what i did before was I made an image file of my existing 8ig card with WP & SD Android to a 16gig card but that will only give you a bigger FAT32 partition. You can use minitool partition
