CM7 FXP30 Data? - Xperia Play General

Hi,
Does anyone know how to get the data to work on the latest version of CM7? Everything else works apart from data.
There is No APN's and if I try to enter the details manually I cant save the apn.
Thanks,
XperiaPlay

Did you install the correct version for your phone? Off the top of my head, that's the only thing I can think of.

I think I found your problem.
Was data working before installing FXP030?
Sent from my R800x using XDA App

Data works on everything but CM7 basically. It worked when i last tried CM7 (But this was like version FXP02something) i.e before camera and touchpads were fixed.
No data/no apns/cant save apn are the only issues i have with this rom. Everything else works perfectlly.

..
I have the same problem. everything works, except data: (
the list of the APN is blank. the save the APN does not work either.

Did you both flash with flashtool the provided official Rom, cm7 kernel, then the cm7 Rom? Specifically in that order? Regardless of if you were on official in the first place?
Sent from my R800i using xda premium

yes, of course. I had the problem since the update 028/028a

Yes,
I flashed my phone with the provided rom using flashtool, followed by flashing the kernel, followed by using the update.zip in CWM. (Wiped cache, data and davik-cache).

Loss of data connection ( and buggy phone part)

Hello
i just updated my galaxy s to the leaked 2.3.3 build from a danish 2.2.1 build i tryed reflashing it since i had problems with no data connection and errors in phone part ( though it worked, just a bit buggy) the reflash and repartion that i choose to do since i had voodoo kennel on my phone before did not help either, so now my phone cant use data connection
anyone have any suggestions? maybe it is a common error? i tryed googling and looking a bit but did not see anything.
I really appreciate the help, another thing i would love would be a 2.3.3 build with danish keyboard/speech in it.
Are you saying that you flashed to a phone that was lagfixed .
If so its broke your phone Undo lagfix before flash is rule one .
You will need to flash stock rom using Odin to get a working phone .
jje
Okay but i flashed the version that was out in the forum with Odin, what Rom should i flash to get back to a state where i can flash 2.3.3 with Odin again? and will i need to re partion, i kinda thought that would take care of the laggfix?
I'm not sure what your problem is. Just take the files from the JVK Rom (PDA, Modem, CSC) add a pit file (512.pit or what you want) and select repartition and click start. Don't need to disable lagfix if you do it that way.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Hmm okay the thing is i already did exactly that and still no data connection :S
Maybe i need to flash a kennel without laggfix?
I have now flashed samsung stock kennel for 3.3.3 , i have reflashed 2.2.1 the version i get from my kies in Denmark and everything works in 2.2.1, now i tryed reflashing 2.3.3 and i still got the same problem as before any help would be much appreciated
Sounds like you need to put in your telco specific APN to get data working.

okay sounds like something that might work, where can i find this apn?
where do i find this file?
It's not a file, it's the name/details of a server on your provider's network. If you didn't back up your original firmware, you'll probably have to call your network or check their website.
Word to the wise - reposting the same question after 7 minutes won't win you too many friends
Danish 2.3.3 keyboard - best to wait until the Nordic firmware is released/leaked.
Thanks the VPN from my network provider solved it!
btw i did not repost any question it was not the same question and i only posted course i was still in doubt.
again thank you all, properly never would have throught of VPN Settings by myself
No problem, glad you sorted it out.

Something to do with Orange SIM then? Did you reboot into recovery and clear caches?
I had some wi-fi issues and found that reflashing the modem fixed it. Find your modem here:

That may help. Good luck.

[Q] Changing baseband version to EPU93_U_00.60.03

My defy+ has strange problems with data connection, sms and calls on every ROM that comes with baseband version 00.60.00 (CM7.2, CM9). I can make calls for about 2-3 hours after flash, and than connection is just lost. Only reboot helps for next 1-2 hours. Everything is normal on stock (baseband version 00.60.03), and on cm10 - jellybean (also 00.60.03).
So my idea was to find a way to flash EPU93_U_00.60.03, but i have no idea where and how to find it. Any ideas?
Hi, cm10, settings, defy parts and scroll down. There you can change your basement

Thank you, but this is a cm10 implemented baseband switcher. I think it does not change the baseband version (number - 00.60.00 for example) The thing is, on cm10 it works perfectly with central europe setting (I'm from Croatia, company ViP), and cm7.2 and cm9 not. The only difference betwen these ROMs is baseband version number (00.60.00 for cm7.2 and 9; 00.60.03 for cm10 and also for stock, which works fine)

Baseband Switcher
The same happened with me also few months ago.....
I think the problem is happened because of simultaneously installing custom rom.....
but dont worry, we have Baseband switcher app......
using this app you can get network anywhere ,anytime.....
one more think in JB rom, this app is default.....but not work properly,,,,,
Install this app individually......
.
.
here is the link....

.
.
Flash it in recovery.....
open app then select your country...
reboot ...enjoy.....:good:
Yeah, funny thing is I already tried everything suggested.. Let me explain it this way: I flashed cm7.2 or cm9, flashed baseband switcher app, tried all of baseband versions there, included central europe setting, NONE worked. Now I flashed cm10, work perfectly. So i flashed baseband switcher just to check baseband settings, so it was central europe. Perfectly working. So it was mystery to me, and ONLY difference I managed to find was different baseband version number in "about phone" (EPU93_U_00.60.00 doesn't work, EPU93_U_00.60.03 work perfectly). Funny, isn't it?
Can someone tell me what is the option to select in baseband selection option in maniac's CM7.2 for defy+ aircel india service provider.i have selected Asia->china but not sure wt to select in 3rd option,
the options are 1)0.26/1.10,2)2.5/2.6/2.10,3)ME722.1.10.
Thanks,
jj

[Q] Defy cannot detect SIM and memory card.

Hi dudes. Bought lately Defy with strang issue. When I put into the slots SD and SIM cards the phone cannot detect it. Only emergency calls allowed.
Mentioned cards are 100% works as I took them from another, fully working Defy. This is red lense,
System: Blur_Version.0.0.1.MB525-nightly.T-Mobile.en.US.
Firmware: 2.1-update1.
Baseband: 3gsmepu93a_u.93.00.2bi
Kernel: 2.6.29 [email protected]+1
BPflex: GM1CP1250JORDAN250AA031
Just wonder if someone faced such an issue before and what would be a solution. Simply before I go for service I`m trying find out if this is a hardware or software problem. Another problem is existing software. Despite Eclair firmware I cannot upgrade it to Froyo or Ginger.
Each attempt(ex:JRDNEM_U3_2.21.1_SIGNED_USAJORDANTMGB_P030_A012_M001_HWp3_Service1FF.sbf, JRDNEM_U3_3.4.2_177-005_NORDIC_SIGN_SIGNED.sbf, JRDNEM_U3_3.4.2_179-002_DEBLUR_SIGN_SIGNED.sbf, ) ends with Pass on RSD lite, but black screen and only option is return to Eclair.
I`ll be gratefull for any usefull suggestions.
Wipe data from stock recovery.

Thx for reply.
Obviously data and cache wiped prior each flash attempt so this is not a solution in this case.
Have you tried a sbf with higher group code?
Sent from my MB526 using xda premium
Thanks for reply again
Yes I can. Gingerbread SBF`s works. I just flash shadow_2.3.4-134_DFP-10. Phone is boot up but sadly SIM and memory card are still unrecognised. and I can`t do nothing except emergency phone call
It may suggest that the phone has a hardware issue. Can anyone recommend a good (I mean good quality and not too expensive) service in the UK (London)
This might be obvious but you have used baseband switcher? Though on the whole I think you are right in saying that its an hardware issue. No clue on UK providers
Sent from my MB526 using xda premium
Hi, I wish to check - change baseband, but only SBF which allow me to get to settings not contains such feature like baseband switcher and I cant install any aplications as it required memory card, which is not recognised by phone
So I`m in deep sh...t. Visit to service seems to be only option, but thanks for your reply and advice.
Ps. I found what baseband is switched on my phone. This is 3gsmepu93a_u_93.00.2bi
Can anyone confirm that`s correct baseband for UK, please?
Baseband switcher is cwm flashable,so you've got no worries there. I have no clue if its the right baseband

NO SMS

Hi guys I've had a on going issue that I though I would give another try at fixing.
I have unlocked my phone and am using a UK Vodafone sim and everything works fine when I use the stock rom
If I use an AOSP (I currently have slimbean build 2 installed) I am able to receive SMS but not send. I get the error "sending failed"
I have enable GSM using Xshortcut
I used HiAPN to get the APN
I'm using the MF9 baseband after downgrading then re-updating to get the unlock.
I have 3G internet.
Would it be possible to export the settings used in stock for SMS and port them to the AOSP rom?
I have tried using chopsms to fix the problem but that didnt work
I'm really out of ideas
All I need is to be able to send an SMS on Vodafone UK
Sorry for also posting this in the apps section as well. I cant see how I can delete it
fingers crossed
Thanks
Jamie
I ran into a similar problem when I used an aokp rom, check out my thread on the domestic unlock and look for nicotheandroidguy 's suggestions for aosp/aokp. I ended up just running sacs rom instead of slimbean
Also are you setting it back to gsm/umts AFTER you install slimbean? I found whenever I did a wipe and install I had to tinker again, reset to gsm, reinstall hiapn etc.

I'm testing out sacs now. Seems interesting even though its based on stock. I do all the tinkering after in install slimbean but no joy
