I have a Omnia 7 16GB now, with Mango RTM installed.
But i want to have it unlocked (so that i can install costum software).
I have read a lot of forum posts, but i still don't really know what to do.
i want to keep all my settings an data.
so how sould i do it?

I want to upgrade my Leo from original genuine WM 6.5 to WP 7 ROM. It's first time I would be flashing a ROM onto my phone, so I wanted to ask you few questions...
I googled about this many times, but I'm still not sure about some things. I'll welcome all answers and advices.
So here are the questions I'd like to clear out:
Which ROM should I use for my Leo? There are lots of ROMs and I'd like to get the most recent one (best would be with NoDo update)...
Is there a guide or tutorial or something like that? I understand I have to install first some flasher and using that flash the ROM into the device... Is that right?
How is the new ROM going to affect the performance? I read somewhere that at the end it could be faster than HD7 (which is basically the same HW only without 2 buttons)
Is the new ROM going to void my warranty? Is there a way back (to virginize it like e.g. iPhone)?
What's with the XBOX Live services? Is there a working way around?

is there any csutom rom for the samsung focus **** the ones for htc devices???
not as of now, but the mango RTM works fine with it, seems more useful to me than a custom rom that is based on a beta build of mango.
also, chevron unlock is retained if you do it right.

thnks for the ninfo, altough i havent been able to update to RTM mango im stuck on 7712 and i would like to unlock my device because im in colombia and here we havent simple apps available like youtube so is a little sad but i don t have the skills to do all the steps to keep chevron from nodo

the thread in the general WP7 forum is what i used to update to mango and retain my unlock, it it's fairly clear and should work so long as you follow all the steps carefully

Is it much more difficult to do custom ROM for Samsung devices due to different drivers? I believe the Focus is the best selling WP7 device, so I would think there are lots of people tinkering with it.
...maybe because the Focus is primarily US, and most custom ROM folks are outside the US???

One of the reasons I was asking...looking to buy either the upcoming Focus S, or the HTC Titan. So I wan't custom ROMs, go with Titan....just afraid it is too freakin big!

You may need to run it through a language translator (chrome has one built in) to find the link.

I have my phone unlocked for development and updated to 8107. Can I use this ROM as I read the HSPL could brick my phone since it is Mango updated.
If it is possible, could you assist me on this thread as this thread could be helpful to others who wants to install this ROM.

Now I have a question that I couldn't find any conclusive answer to.
Is it possible to update the "Back to the Future [XBmod-Yuki][Updatable]Build 8107 Ready" rom to 8779 via CABs?
You're probably going to say that I can just flash a different rom. Well the thing is just that, I can't; the volume buttons are broken, and I don't want to invest anymore in this HD2 since I'm going to get a new phone for Christmas, but until then I'd like to get more out of it.
I'm brand new to this, but i want to unlock my windows phone so i can put custom apps and themes and so on on it. I'm currently running the latest update and running the mango build, i was wondering, how do i unlock my phone, i've been searching and searching and i think i may have to downgrade my phone, i'd like help with this however incase i do anything wrong or if i use the wrong programmes to do this. Help would be appreciated.
You have to flash this thing called HSPL to your Trophy. The instructions are all here!
The HSPL allows custom roms on your device, but it doesn't unlock it. After you flash HSPL, you then have to install a custom rom that comes with an unlock (most roms do). Good luck!
