Unhappy with my tab - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

I really wish I hadn't bought my galaxy tab. Wish I bought the 32gig version instead as 16gig just isn't enough-
Loving it. Still feels a bit sluggish, and far from a desktop experience. Needs a better touch screen browser, but that's android and not Sammy.

Just get dolphin HD. Browsers awesome

So why Chrome, I've used dolphin, opera, skyfire, and chrome natively on my desktop. They all have quirks about them, but can't say I loved any of them more than another. Why chrome, dolphin was pretty plain and simple.

I hope you know "Google Chrome" is a browser. We're waiting for them to make an app for it because Google is amazing.

LOL, yes I am familiar with chrome being a browser, as well as google scholar, google docs, but "Amazing doesn't give me a warm fuzzy inside? Why chrome vs. Opera? Or any other native browser we might use on an Android device?
Like I said I've used lots of different browsers, and they all have there good points and bad, some are better for flash, some for webpage layout, linking items,........etc. I've used chrome on my desktop pc, and it has its pros and cons, but I wouldn't say I would strickly use it cause I'm on a Droid. Thanks for your response and feedback, but specifics would be appreciated vs. "Amazing". Thanks.

Firefox is nice as well.

i'm quite disappointed with the flash performance in the stock browser. Was looking forward to playing bejewled, but it sucks as its way too slow. What gives?

I've noticed that flash performance is slow on the stock browser as well. That's a bit surprising to me given the amount of horsepower.

So before you switched over, was the Miren browser in your opinion the better browser out there? Miren > Dolphin?
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
I've tried Miren, Xscope, Dolphin and skyfire. Of them all, Miren delivers the smoothest experience, and with the fewest FCs.
If you use Firefox 4 Beta on a PC then Firefox for Android is far and away the best. It syncs your favorites, passwords, history, and open tabs.
+1 on the firefox.
Dolphin Mini

In practice, I've not found this actually works at all, in fact, I found Firefox to be a horrible experience on the EVO.
I really wanted to like it, but it won't open when you click a link from and email for example, and it's rather slow, and I never got it to sync with my other machines. It's just not ready to daily use yet, IMHO
I uninstalled after a week, and installed Dolphin, which I really like so far.
I'm going to install Miren later today and give it a go, thanks
I like Opera Mini, loads everything super fast.
I have used miren, dolphin, xscope, and modified stock browsers my daily is xscope but im looking at miren now after it the recent update.
does anyone know if firefox for android syncs with minefield (firefox testers betas)
me personally, ive tried dolphin and i still prefer the stock android sense browser. it gets the job done, flash videos play fine, and downloading is easy.

I'd have to go with Dolphin Mini. I used Dolphin HD for the longest. Tried Mirens for the last week then switched over to Dolphin Mini the last two days. So far it's the best. Fastest webpage scrolling and typing. Zero lag on that browser.
firefox feature wise sounds great but it's really really buggy

Browser of choice?

I'm curious as to what browser you guys like to use. I've used Dolphin Browser HD for as long as I can remember, as I never really fancied the stock browser.
I don't really know about any of the other browsers available, so i'm looking for something new to use (and others might be too). Any suggestions?
I use the stock one for daily use, if I run into a page that insists to be viewed in mobile form then I switch to Dolphin.
I use opera mobile.

Tried it out. It runs VERY well, but nearly all of the pages I visit direct me to the mobile version of their site. Is there any way to change the user agent in opera so that I get the desktop version every time?

Pretty sure there was a thread here on XDA about that. Might want to do a Google search about that. "opera mobile 11 android desktop agent" All the sites I use direct to desktop so it hasn't been a problem for me.

Thanks for the tip! Found out how to do it, and works perfectly. I couldn't find it in the settings, so I figured it wasn't built in.

I using Dolphin Mini right now.
I've tried Firefox but its just too slow and too CPU intensive. It's sad because it's what I use on my MacBook Pro and would live to be able to seamlessly sync everything.

I don't know about anyone else, but the stock browser on the Fascinate is horrible compared to other Android powered phones. I'm not sure what it is, but it just runs like crap. AND NO ANIMATED GIF SUPPORT!!!! (Custom ROMs appear to not work either, it's really weird actually. Animated GIF support goes in and out)
So i use Dolphin HD mainly. Normally I prefer stock, but since switching to the Fascinate. I use anything else, BUT!
for some reason Opera Mobile won't install on CM6. Bummer.

Odd. The stock browser feels the same as my old Droid's. Not much of a difference.
Back to the topic: I use the stock browser. It fills my needs perfectly. I'll try out Dolphin HD and Opera to see how they are.
I just tried dolphin mini again last night. After about an hour of use I saw no clear cut advantage over stock (for how I use it).
I don't use gestures and don't open multiple tabs on my phone. My web use is mostly simple lookups. My serious web use I do on my desktop computer. Almost every thing I do on my phone is app based. So the stock browser suits me fine and is as fast or faster as both dolphin HD and mini.

Opera on XOOM

Opera is reaaaaaaal smooth on the xoom guys...
tried Dolphin hd (crap), skyfire (choppy) and firefox (a joke). so far, only opera feels like a true tablet browser. also, once a page is cached, the load is instant (as it should be!)
now let's hope they allow the addition of more quickdials (9 ain't enough)
btw it's the full opera, not the mini

Stock browser still works best for me. Opera is fast but also crashes sometimes and I am unable to synchronise with my Opera Link account. Hoping for a fix soon.
thanks for the tip, using it now and seems much smoother, although slight delay noticed between clicking a link and the link opening, as if it's loading in the background, need to play around with the settings

+1. Firefox used to suck before they added flash capabilities, now it runs smooth and the sync capabilities are an added bonus.
I'm seeing a lot of bad reviews on firefox in the market. Maybe it's because they don't have the flash?

To me flash isn't that big of a drawing point. I like the speed and syncing abilities. the i don't have to enter passwords on two different sites, i can do it on one [computer or phone] and it'll sync to the other.
+1 for Firefox.
I've been using dolphin hd and it has worked great for me so far... But I didn't know about the syncing abilities of firefox... I'm gonna have to try it out. I always recommend firefox for desktops. It is by far the best for that

Yea, there is an add on called "sync" (go figure) and it will enable you to sync the phone with desktops.
it'll give you a 16 digit key on the handset and you punch it in on the desktop and it'll do the rest. Sorta like the Netflix "adding a device"
It doesn't do it natively.

Best browser is the stock browser. I like my browser too look as I see on my desktop. I hate mobile version of websites. Every browser for download from the market, all load about 80% of the websites in mobile versions. I've tried almost every browser in the market, and none give me a better browsing experience than the stock browser.

Agreed, even though I use Firefox on my desktop, the mobile version loads pages inefficiently...
Does Dolphin still suck? It used to be good, then recent updates slowed it down horribly - constant force closing, horrendous download speeds even though other browsers downloaded fine. I had used it forever but gave up on it.
I don't think I was the only one with those issues. It happened after a full wipe/fresh flash and downloading from the market instead of restoring. I didn't use any add-ons either.

I've used many, and Miren is my clear favorite.
Dolphin HD is too big, slow, and bloated.
Firefox just plain sucks.
Opera and Skyfire are OK.
Miren is laid out just how I like it and it works smooth as silk. Comes with a nice news and bookmark widget too.
I Prefer stock evo browser only problems I get sometimes when download large files. I keep mozilia install to download files. All other broswer like dolphin, etc. Doesn't work for me.

Maxthon, ftw!
I tried using stock browser for about 3 minutes until I realized it was horrible. Dolphin HD all the way....
Dolphin HD is the best browser hands down, has flash support, very light and the tabed browsing is great, speed dail home page and and it loads up instantly to get you where want fast cause lets be honest when you use a mobile browser most people only use it for like 3 minutes at a time so no one wants to wait 5 minutes for the browser itself to load up
Stock works fine and open source. =P

Boat Mini Browser
I voted for Opera.
I've only tried Firefox and the stock browser before, though. I like Opera because the interface is fairly clean, although I think the buttons could be smaller (but other people would probably hate small buttons). I think it's nice as it has tabs, but it isn't on the screen all the time. The largest reason I wanted to use Opera was because of its ability to act as a Desktop browser, though. I don't have a limited data plan or anything so it doesn't affect me.
My biggest problem with Opera is that some things don't act right, particularly with Facebook. I wouldn't use the Facebook app at all if it did work the way I want. Message windows go off the screen and it's impossible to hit the send button without zooming out all the way and hitting the button precisely, etc. Other than that, I don't think I have any real issues with it.
Firefox had issues with format (way more than just Facebook), I didn't like how it handled tabs, and even though it was nice to be able to sync with my desktop, it wasn't enough. I love Firefox on my desktop though!
I'm going to try Dolphin since people here seem to like it, but judging from images, it seems kind of bloated.
I've been using xscope.
I used to use miren but for some reason it started getting a little laggy feeling. Xscope is freaking fast and snappy
