I got problem with this build:

I've run it from MAGLDR 1.13 Boot from SD, everything works except Market, won't download after selecting the app, and after 1st restart it won't boot stuck on HTC logo. Tried a few times with different SD cards, reformatted. One is 2Gb another is 4Gb same problem after reboot it's stucks.
Also tried

HTC HD2 [T-Mobile] Leo (HSPL 2.08) | WPH7.1 | MAGLDR 1.13 |
Tried many SD builds, these ones: Jaguaralani Gamer's Edition
JaguarMIUI - work after restart, but have some bugs with Market or with Calling, a question are there any difference beetween SD or NAND builds ? And how do I see the version of the radio and which on is the the best ?

To see your radio version, go into bootloader (hold vol- key while booting phone)
Your radio version will be next to the letter R
I think it shows in Android settings/About Phone as baseband, pretty sure but not 100%
Best radio version is a matter of trial and error, the one in my sig works very well for me.
Just if you're using a T-Mobile US HD2, DON'T flash a X.XX.51.XX radio, TMOUS use X.XX.50.XX ONLY or brick!!
NAND builds are more long-run reliable, as the ROM's files are not all in one or two .img files as an SD build has it. So on an SD build, if you get some file corruption, you can have anything from force closes, to buggy apps, to unbootable system.
You should definitely be able to boot up, reboot, and install from Market on any SD build that you just recently installed though.
Alot of the SD builds however were originally designed to be run from WinMo using HaRET, and take some messing with in order to run from MAGLDR, but on these newer builds you shouldn't have problems. Running from NAND almost invariably provides a more stable Android experience.
Try going into Settings/Applications/Manage Applications, and clear the Market app's data. This sometimes helps with the downloading from Market issue. As far as not being able to boot more than one time, tbh i dunno. You should be able to boot and reboot many times, especially on a fresh install.
Thanks for reply man. Gonna try more builds i guess. I got a hardware problem with Volume Up and Down and it is a pain in the ass to use them in MAGLDR, and to enter in boot loader mode, pressing the Volume Down also works as Enter it's a miracle how installed MAGLDR and WPH7 on it It's a long story, i got my phone from a friend he changed the screen after he broke it and it's a little bit bigger than original one so there is problem with Volume Up and Down flex.

That sounds like a kernel problem to me, you could pretty easily change kernels and see if the problem persists.
Just download a new SD kernel from the Android SD forum, unzip, put the zImage file in the main folder of your Android build, and then if there is a 'root' folder in the .zip, place that in the same folder. If there's not a root folder, then make a folder in your Android folder on your sd, name it root, and place the other folders from your kernel.zip into that root folder.
There's no guarantee that a new kernel will fix the black screen after calls, but it's a shot. It's a pretty common problem from what I've seen, so a forum search might be a good idea before switching kernels
At last I've installed ClockWork and flashed NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V3.1 (Android-2.3.6). Everything works great but still got black screen after calls.
SOLVED!
Used the free app ProximityScreenOff. Its in the market.
Make sure you select the Proximity sensor instead of the Light sensor in settings.

OK FELLAS,
i'm not a noob. been flashing for a while now and am pretty much tech savvy, but this one has me for a loop. recently, my phone just started doing this; i can install and launch any and all android builds so readily available here from the XDA chefs. EVEN the DARKSTONE DESIRE HD BETA 2 worked and i played with it for an hour or so. HERE IS THE PROBLEM; i used to in the beginning be able to boot android over and over and over with my android launcher icon thats built into the current energy rom im using. (24631 04 sep) however now after a reboot, I run into a brick wall with the prompt that reads "cant find rootfs. you need to unzip a rootfs file to your memory card. job control turned off"
here are the things i have tried to remedy this:
1. format card= didnt fix
2. try a different card= i have 3 different cards; this didnt fix it either.
Only thing i havent tried which i am reluctant to try is task 29 and reload the WINMO ROM.
ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE EXPERIENCING THIS AND IF SO, HOW DID YOU FIX IT?

What Rom radio you using?
Are you using an auto boot or multiboot
Are you renaming the folder to Android and putting that folder on root? And dies your startup file read rel_path=android
If all correct
Seems like task29
And new Rom radio is the answer

ALSO AN UPDATE; REFLASHED 24631 UPDATED DATE,TIME,QUICK GPS, AND THEN GET THIS; IT BOOTED DESIRE HD ROM SUPER QUICK BUT OTHER BUILD IM USING Core_Droid_V.0.2 STILL DIDNT WORK. IM GONNA TRY DROPPING ANOTHER ROOTFS.IMG ON THE CARD AND TRY AGAIN.
I had a similar problem, the problem was that I had unzipped the contents of the "android" folder to the root of my SDcard. What I should have done was copy the folder to the root of the SDcard, after I did this it worked perfectly
I have the same problem here, but not only with the DARKSTONE DESIRE HD BETA 2 ROM. A lot Android ROMs boots great the first time, but after a phone reboot I was unable to boot the Android ROM again.
It shows me these message: "cant find rootfs. you need to unzip a rootfs file to your memory card. job control turned off" or the boot loader freezed completely with some stripes on the screen. any ideas?

Update:
Got a solution from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788764
Just extract your DARKSTONE DESIRE HD BETA 2 ROM into "/Storage Card/Android" and boot it. done!
All you have to do is delete the android folder everytime you boot up android. I was running into the same thing after the initial setup worked good but wouldn't boot back after I went back to windows.
Sent from my HD2 running Darkstone Froyo V2.1
So I've tried to install android build. I had stock rom 3.14.479.2 and I've tried to install HD2Froyo_V3. I've followed the instruction and after running haret few lines of text showed and than nothing, htc display appeared and stayed that way until I've removed the battery. Then I've read that I have to flash a coked Rom in order to install build for android so I downgraded it to 1.48 so I can install HSPL (not sure that it was necessary). I've flashed Energy.Leo.21916.Sense2.5.Cookie.Nov.02 with Radio_2_12_50_02_2 and copied Android folder again, same result. After flashing between stock Rom and Energy.Leo.21916.Sense2.5.Cookie.Nov.02 million of times I'm out of options. The same problem I had with FroyoStone_Sense_V3.2 too. It seemed so easy when I saw it on youtube and I can not believe that I had so bad luck. What I've done wrong? What should I do?
Anyone help?
One word: wait!
the kernel usually creates a 1GB storage for android. This will need some minutes (can take up to 10 minutes on class 2)
Some words for ROMs. Nearly all ROMs will work (the 2.14 ROMs don't) as long as you have a new radio. use 2.10 or higher. some have robo voice problems when calling. if you experience robo try another Radio.
(you should post questions like that in android development discussion. this subforum is for development only)
The folder-name of your rom, what is it and did you change it? You have to change a value in startup.txt aswell if it is different from 'Android'.
Ultimaex is right. Creating a 1gb storage for android will take some time, be patient. I have a 2gb storage which took about 20 minutes from start to finish.
fyi, my setup is tmous stock rom 3.14 and tytung's NexusHD2-FRG83 Froyo 2.2.1 build.

Ive had this happen to me when I was switching builds. I deleted everything on my sd card that was related to android. Usually, the folders that android makes on your sd card are all lowercase letters. The folders are start with a capital letter are Windows Mobile specific folders. So delete all those folders, dont forget to show hidden files just to make sure you get all the folders. Afterwards, with whatever build you plan on using, its probably best to re-download that build just to make sure no files were edited and copy them to your sd card.
Basically just start with a clean slate and you should be good to go.
i had the same problem just reformat ure memory card on ure htc hd2
I formated the sd every time I tried. It's not that
Same
I got the same problem I have tried everything waited more dan 20 minutes. Formatted 25 times. Iam searching all forums to find something
Ok, I have mentioned this a couple of times and it seems to fix this issue, format the SD card within windows (a full format not a quick one) and ensure that you format it to clusters that are 32kb.
Also what radio are you both using?
I use 2.15.50.14 now, bit tried with every radio over 2.8

And what I wanted to say, I think mattc 1.8 is one of the best Sense builds out there.. Works so damm' smooth. Old but gold
Yes I agree. I've tried several after this one and got back on mattc...There are few problems but I hope that will be fixed in other versions....

You mean you got all kinds of distorted graphics all over the screen. Black and white stripes kind of thing? If so, that's because you probably replaced zImage but didn't replace initrd.gz. Regardless, if you leave it on the screwed up black/white screen, it should load within 10-15 min.
hi guys
i have a little problem with my htc hd2
i flashed my radio to a 2.14.50.04
i put a rom on it
and hsspl 4
now when i want to start android it gets tuck at jumping to kernel and goes to a white screen with green letters
can someone explane what i can doe now beaucausei'm stuck
greets matthias
I'm guessing you're talking about SD card android roms.
If so, is the android folder at the root of your sd card? Are all the the contents of the folder in there?
zimage, intrid, system image, blank data image (if the build requires you to have one, some builds make their own data.img) , all of those are in there? And you tried CLRCAD then haret right?
Also how long did you wait on the HTC screen? 20 mins? You should have if you didn't.
If you didn't wait 20 mins, and the build you are using is one that makes its own data.img, delete it. Retry running android.
If you know not of anything in what i've stated go search and read.
hi
jep all the files are in there and the phone starts again after the htc screen
when can i seee if it maks his own data ?
In the android folder. o.o
If you didn't have to put in a blank data image into the android folder or it didn't come with one, then it is an android build that makes its own.
You can also see in the startup.txt to see if it makes one.
If you see something like this data_size=512, in the startup.txt , it is making its own data image, of size 512 mb. To change the size simply change data_size= something else
eg data_size=1024, creates a 1gb data image.
i don't get it
there is a data file of 512mb
butt is that file the problem?
can someone please help beausause i'm getting crazy
If there is, then simply try reboot android. o.o I already said this in my first post...
At max it should take 20 mins for first boot. If it still doesn't boot, then maybe that build doesn't work (you should read the last pages of every build you want to try to see what works and what doesn't), try a different build.
hi
i ddid but after 30 sec the phone starts again in windows
i tried 3different builds
cyanogenmod 7 v2.6 (gingerbread) on HTC HD2
After installation MDJ’s CyanogenMod 7 v2.6 (gingerbread 2.3) I
experience the following problems on my HTC HD2 (dutch HD2 with latest
Radio):
After ending a call or pushing the end-call button, the HD2 buttons
stay on and the screen stays black and doesn’t respond at all.
I have to remove the battery to reset my HD2.
sorry for my english, i hope you understand my issue here.
By the way I’ve installed MAGLDR v1.3, and CWM 1.3 and HSPL->SPL2.08
on the device.
Everything works perfect except the above
Please HELP!!
Try a different winmo rom? You can try task 29, then flash the winmo rom. Also insignificant in my opinion, but may play a cause in your problem, which HSPL did you install? I know you installed HSPL 4, but be specific, which one from the menu it offered? Eg. I have HSPL 2.08 which is the most popular for running android.
@aem
I'm sorry but I've never experienced your problem before, nor have I tried MDJ's Cyanogen build extensively before. Well as they say if this doesn't work properrly, try something else. Meaning, try a different build and see how it plays out. Use titianium to backup anything you'd like.
i now am runnin the newest hspl i think it is 3.33..
the rom was miri_steve0007
now i am downloading energy leo rom
and a different radio
else can't you just tell me from the beginning what i have to do for playing android?
May have no effect what so ever, but install HSPL 2.08, maybe it might fix your problems. Your case is weird one to me. @[email protected]
For sd android. Theoretically and for some, there are no requirements for android except for a radio later than 2.08, Build and HSPL shouldn't matter, but it did for some.
The android folder should be at the root of your sd card meaning /android, and one should simply run CLRCAD then HARET and done, android should boot up.
If you're looking to run android off NAND (your phones internal memory, removing winmo completely) You need a radio later than 2.08, HSPL 2.08 and MAGLDR installed.
got a new prob
the htc wont load any image anymore its allways stuck at 0%
does somebody knows what i should do?
Ouch, all flashing just stops? Is the phone in bootloader mode? The tri color screen I mean.
I'm sorry but this is where my knowledge stops, sorry, i can't think of anything else to help you with right now. Worst case scenario, your device might acutally be having hardware problems and needs to be repaired.
Hi, this is my first post here
I've been here for a long time (well didn't have a handset so didn't find the need to join...)
I read through many articles and learned a lot from this forum
Last weekend I got my T-Mobile HD2 and I proceeded to install custom rom soon after
(latest Energy rom by NRGZ28- thanks)
The rom is awesome, it's just that I wanna try out android on my phone also...
I decided I'll try the SD first
So I followed a guide just downloaded the rom I want (MCCM GB V2.0 Gingerbread HoneyComb Sense theme) unzip, then copy to the root of my sd, run clrcad (don't know what he meant by working sound- I heard nothing) then run haret....
Then I am always stuck at the green letters screen forever, never get further...
I'm not sure what is wrong
I looked through all possible things
I did HardSPL4 and now has HSPL2.08, I got a custom rom
The only thing I did not change and think might be the problem is the radio...
my version is 2.10.50.26
Would flashing an updated radio make my android on sd work?
Is this "Leo_RADIO_2.15.50.14**" ok for my HD2? (on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787)
Thanks for the help nice to talk to everyone~

Ha I guess you did not like the first option, so I will edit the whole post.
Running Andriod from SD is very simple as long as you follow the instructions to the T. If the Andriod folder you copied to your SD card has another folder in it that you have to open to get to CLRCLAD and HARET then you need to copy that folder to the root of your SD card. It is also important the name of the folder is Andriod. The first time you boot the Andriod it can take up to ten minutes sometimes cause it has to creat folders, files, and pathways. So maybe you are not giving it enough time to boot all the way up beforeo you hit the reset button or do a battery pull. Your SD card also needs to be formated correctly you want to format it usimg Fat 32, please make a back up copy of your card also if you reformat it as it will wipe it clean. Last but not least you may just have a bad download. Try redownloading the build and recopy it to your SD card then run CLRCAD and HARET.
The only thing a radio will do is cure robot sounding voices during a phone call while running Andriod but most builds now have that solved and are compatible with the current radio 2.15.50.14. Also when you touch on CLRCAD you will see or hear nothing it enables the sound on the Andriod build.
Last but not least being you have a TMOUS (T-Mobile) HD2. Be adviced that you most flash a radio version that has a 50 in the third set of numbers like 2.xx.50.xx. Do not flash a radio that has a 51 in the third set of numbers like 2.xx.50.xx. or a radio that looks like this 2.04.50.xx or 2.05.50.xx as they will brick your TMOUS HD2 reindering it usless for nothing but a paper wieght. And the only way to unbrick a HD2 is with a JTAG and a ORT wich will cost you and you will have to take your HD2 apart to fix.
O_O is the issue that difficult?
I don't mind calling though

Hey all,
I'm usually pretty good at figuring these types of things out, but unfortunately I haven't been able to figure this one out yet.
Wifi works fine in WinMo 6.5 and WinPhone 7. I haven't tried SD version of Android, but I'd rather not go that route as I want to be able to use a fully functioning NAND version of Android.
I have done Task29/wipe data/cache/dalvik cache on many occasions, repartitioned, reinstalled WinMo 6.5 and then started over with MAGLDR (latest version), replaced wifi module libraries, but nothing has proven to work. Everything else is perfect, though.
Somebody has to have experienced this before? I couldn't find much in terms of a solution by searching.
Thanks!
What HD2 Radio version are you using?
What Android ROM are you using?
Have you made sure that it is a MAGLDR version you are trying to install, not the cLK version?
Why would you need to replace the WiFi module librarys as your ROM should work without error after installation?
A bit more info and we should be able to sort this one out!

You have the most common Radio 2.15.50.14 so that isn't the problem.
The fix is mainly for cLK versions so it could use the PPP interface but if you are using MAGLDR then that isn't needed - this alone could be your problem, I reccomend not installing this patch any more?!
I play with roms a lot and normally my errors are due to using a kernel which the rom wasn't developed for - or more recently, frequent drops to the internet.
When my drops happened, I had done nothing different but it seems that a change in CM7 source now addressed my routers security settings differently - I have no idea when it was added and I was lucky enough to find a firmware update for my router which solved the problem.
Out of interest, when you click on wifi, does it say error or does it try to connect and randomly drop? Error would indicate a kernel/radio/hardware problem and dropping or not connecting would possibly indicate router problem.
Possibly, one of the best places to start is the security settings of your router, disable all security and see if it will connect... if it does then apply security - I use WPA2 PSK TKIP and it now works for me!
NDT MIUI Froyo V6.2 & CMYLXGO's Stock Desire HD are quite old (In terms of development), BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA_GINGER 2.3.4-Sense.s V29 is new and updated frequently so i'm unsure why all would have the same problem?!?!.
You could also try my rom located in my signature "HardDroid2" as I have extensively tested this and have no problems (Not trying to punt my rom at all!).
If changing your router settings or no other roms work then it is beyond me as there are only a few combinations af possible hardware/software faults!
Hope this helps
Already installed Is the phone supposed to boot in Airplane mode enabled for the first boot?
Ok, unfortunately the same issue with WiFi. What happens when i turn wifi on is it takes about 15 seconds for the check to appear in the box, then it stays on for about 15 more seconds with no networks showing, then it turns off automatically. The same thing with every rom I've tried, unless I start messing with libs or conf files at which point I get "error" or it doesn't turn on at all.
Thanks!

Ummmm... NOPE!
I think your problem is with your radio rom. I would reccomend starting from scratch!
This is what I do and it works fine for me:
Prep SD Card: Format FAT32 and also create a 1GB Ext3 Partition (For apps2SD if needed)
Copy the rom update.zip to FAT32 partition of SD Card & Insert into phone.
Run HSPL3_PKG.exe and install HSPL 2.08
Flash Radio_Leo_2.15.50.14
Run Task 29 - wipe phone
Install MAGLDR 1.1.3
start device (Hold down power button until menu list appears) choose USB Flasher
Install Recovery 150MB System/5MB Cache (ClockworkMod Recovery v4.0.0.0)
Start MAGLDR (Hold down power button until menu list appears) Select "AD Recovery"
Boot ClockworkMod and install update.zip from SD Card.
I'm not trying to teach you how to suck eggs... but maybe there is a little step you may of missed?!?!?

I would reccomend re-downloading the files, especially the radio rom as I have a feeling it may be corrupted - don't know why it would work on WP7 though??
Use the HSPL3_PKG.exe to install HSLP 2.08 as it is regarded as the best.
I use Loader 2.10 KSubedi (MAGLDR 1.1.3 Debranded) just for asthetic reasons.
We will get there!!! lol
Same deal, unfortunately. I've noticed that the mac address is "unavailable" at all times, including the 10 secs the wifi is actually on (according to the switch)

Did you re-download the radio from here?: http://www.multiupload.com/QP0IWGY42F
I don't understand why your wifi works under wm6.5 (which installs during flashing rom) & WP7 (which runs the same way as android nand) but not under android... I would of classed it as a corrupted file and im completely at a loss!!!!
It can't be a hardware fault and there isn't any differences in earlier/later versions of the HD2's wifi module!!!
OK, I admit it.... I'm stumped!

Yep, that file. Maybe I need to install the latest Tmobile 6.5 rom and start from that?

If you install the latest rom and then task 29, you still have the radio version which installed with the rom as task 29 doesn't touch that section!
I remember a couple of years ago when I changed the wifi module on a PSP that it no longer held a mac address when using original Sony firmware... has your device been in for repair?
Just a thought really, i'm grabbing at straws since it really doesn't make sense to me!

I'm not sure about its history as I bought it used. Tomorrow is another day with more opportunities to resolve this issue.
Nothing changed by me installing a stock T-mobile WinMo 6.5 then going through the process of converting to NAND android. I found out that I'm not able to save a manual Wi-Fi network entry. Maybe this is a clue for the problem?
Thanks!

Well looking into the kernel, it seems that it will create a custom MAC address for each device to get past the 00:11:22:33:44:55 issue (I don't know what variables it would use to create this but possibly imei???)
There are no really adjustable settings in wpa_supplicant.conf which would help (As far as I can see)
Since you aren't showing a MAC address, it would indicate a problem with your hardware (as no other device has this problem) But why Windows roms would still work is beyond me and the only change in hardware revisions over the life of the HD2 has been to the lcd screen and not the radio hardware.
I have searched and tried to find more information on this but i'm unable to find a conclusive answer or solution
Here is a thought: Download the files which I use from here: http://www.andbuddy.com/files/FOBBu1308083933.html
This contains all the files which I use and a small guide - Please follow ALL the steps as this has given me a 100% working device!
If it still doesn't work after this then I will have to admit that i'm beaten

I'm suspecting that the actual wifi related hardware is damaged somewhere, maybe the coaxial cable, at least in my phone.
Do you try solution : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=827521
i try but i can't do step 6 :
"6. Go to menu Device -> File Explorer. New window will come up."
it not show file
- I Think problem relate with hardware because with the same Room , same Radio , same Wif network other device ok but of me false
- If you have new information or new SOLUTION please send email for me [email protected]
Thanks
