Which are the smoothest and stablest Roms with Sense 3?
Sent from my HD2 using XDA App
I personally recommend Desire HD 3.06.405.1 - Sense 3.0 - Android 2.3.5 [v1.3][HierOS 1.7.2] by dungphp. It´s stable and with supercharger it´s also fast with about 150mb free RAM in average
mwakiousRUNNINGrom® REBUILD1.0 wifi fixed(k:HierOS,sense3.5)

my favorit
There are several very good sense 3 roms out there. Totally agree that dungphp's, mikhei's and mak's roms are good. I am also planning to try dansta's Runnymede rom which looks fantastic. I am particularly interested in how customizable it is.

There is no "best" rom, Whats is best for us may not be best for you. The only way you will find the "best" is to try them and find out.

with sense? looks good though B)
openfire is completely AOSP. and so far I haven't found a fast or stable sense rom. lol. there was some recent sense one whose name I've forgotten, that was supposedly fast and stable.haven't tried it myself yet. theres a sticky thread in the wildfire development forum, have a look at that

I doubt it that fast (as comparing with Openfire) Sense-based ROM exist today. All new ROMs based on new HTC ROM are not JIT-Enabled. But the devs are working on it.
I also recommend trying OpenFire. Damn fast and light ROM.
The best Froyo Rom that works perfect is the villainrom (www.villainrom.co.uk) the only problem is with the live wallpapers. Everything else works (Fm Radio, HTC aplications. app2sd)
Yea... Even though villain rom was mostly/completely based on wildpuzzle lol.
Anyway, try wildpuzzle if you want a good sense rom or sinaabh whatever its called.

I'm using sinaabh right now actually, it is the most legendary sense ROM."I can't believe it's not stock!" (Lol) this one is definitely a keeper, at least until a stable gingerbread ROM comes out

openfire was fast and simple, still a bit buggy though.
cyanogenmod is what i'm sticking to atm, it's updated frequently

I was just wondering, whats the fastest rom around?
(Preferably with Sense).
I tried Cyanogen, and a Froyo 2.2 rom, but they all were just sloppy and slow.
I think the fastest in openfire. But everybody has their opinions
hello,
I tried every single Rom Forum identically, and CyanogenMod is really the best!

No -.-''
The fastest is OpenFire -.-''
i think is cm
Openfire is faster as it's just based from AOSP and no addons. Cyanogen is fast but it includes extra features which makes it awesome.
With me Rom of Danne_jo is number One.
The fastest sense rom is SUnAaBh
And yeah, openfire is the fastest overall
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Definately openfire.
The fastest sense rom would be sunabh.
The fastest AOSP rom would be openfire.

sorry to bump quite an old thread but how much faster are sunabh or openfire compared to the original wildfire rom? my girlfriend has one and really wants to see a performance improvement since everyting is quite laggy... are there any benchmark/quadrant tests or something?

They are really much faster.
The stock rom is pretty slow because of HTC Sense.
I really like CyanogenMod 7 nighty builds.. They are fast, look good, nice features so i recommend you go for CyanogenMod.. Or if its just speed that you want without the goodies then go for the others..
Pawnbox is right! I´m using CM7 Build #19 since yesterday and my phone rocks!
It`s very fast an it´s based on 2.3 (Gingerbread). But read the thread carefuly the newest versions still have problems with the phone.apk. The last stable is Build #19.
Have fun

Second that. For me it's RC1.
What's the difference between CM7 rom and Virtuous rom???
Because I'm thing about updating from virtuous to cm7
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
One big difference is that CM doesn't have HTC Sense, but Virtuous does.
Also, CM is based on 2.3, whereas Virtuous is 2.2.1

Best thing to do is flash and see for youself! Look at the specs of the roms and flash! That's what I do.

I agree. I was doing the same thing as you trying to find the difference between two different ROMs and I found that it was just easier to flash and try them yourself. Plus it was fun flashing different ROMs
I really like Roto CM7 rom So far out of all of all the roms I have tryed and it seems more stable as well as fast. but I am flashing B#54 because it has the tethering in it. seems he has taken it out after that and since I do not have Internet at home anymore... Moved and have not gotten it.... I tether...
Hey,
Well Virtuous is based on the stock rom (therefore it comes with sense). On the other hand is CM which is build on top of vanilla android (therefore it can use 2.3).
If you like the look and feel and the bundled apps of the desire z with stock rom, you will love Virtuous because its just an extension.
If you think the stock one is overloaded and you like the vanilla android experience, CM is the way to go.
In both cases you get a custom kernel with a lot of nice features.
I use CM on my G1 and Virtuous on my G2. And I like both! well more the G2 but that has nothing to do with the rom

I have been looking for the best Sense ROM for the HD2 with the most stability, speed, and the best battery life, but there are so many, I don't know which to use. Which is the most stable, fast, and best battery life? I don't care which Sense version it is, as long as it's stable, fast, and has good battery life.
I tried many sense Roms the best one I found is : team blue droid TBD(very stable)

Thanks for the reply! But I have two questions: Are you using the T-Mobile HD2 or the regular HD2? (If it has green and red buttons and says "T-Mobile" at the top, it's T-Mobile, if it has white buttons, it's the regular). And the other question, do you have to modify your device/the ROM to make it stable? Thanks.

Hello, i just want to ask what do you think is the best working android rom for hd2??
i like dornimanx (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1166948)
for it's speed, and is very stable
But if you like sense 3.5 i would go for (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1275119)
this one is also very stable and with lots of Eyecandy
My favorite was AmeriCanAndroid's : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1209474
All are going to say their favourite, there is no such thing as best.
It is up to you.
For instance, I prefer HyperDroid.
One more quetion, what apps do you use for GPS navigation on android??

So far i've tried only 2 roms coredroid's and mikhei77's. Both are sense roms. I'm thinking of trying non-sense roms. Anyone have suggestions? Sense roms have problem on wifi tethering. I've read Nexus's have a working wifi tethering. How abt others?
For gps navigation i'm using papago x5 sad that it's no longer supported by the developer.

Saying "the best" rom on HD2 u have to be meaning "the best personal choice".
For example i have been trying lots of WM roms before coming to Android.
Tried PRJ Android, didnt like it. Then i came back to WM again.
Finally tried out NexusHD2 GingerBread 2.3.7 and im staying on it and now i recommend it ;] it's really worth a try even only if u are going to change it for another distribution of Android :]
