Actually on some custom ROMs your SN and SNID will be gone (until you flash back to a stock ROM).
Not sure what you mean by "uid".

No, it doesn't.

It was the id that is used as last ditch to restore tab.

[Q] T-Mobile HD2 Version 3.14.531.1 Software Download?

Is there a place I can download T-Mobile HD2 MR Software (Version 3.14.531.1) without entering an IMEI? My HD2 is stuck in CWM Recovery and I want to flash the stock software back on. But I don't know my IMEI and I can't boot the phone to check.

Your IMEI is also on the back of your phone.. Take out the battery and you will see it.

Check what ver do you have now. You can download the latest firmware from your country on Sammobile then flash again via odin. after flashing try to clear data and cache on recovery. Hope it fixes your problem.

btw, i have read somewhere that there is a way to recover your IMEI but i cant remember where it is.
Try to connect your phone from the KIES program in a mode of emergency restoration of firmware by Model phone type and Serial Number of the phone. This may take several hours. To do this, you need a good internet.

Always do backups!!
You need to go read this . From experience you're going to probably have to repartition your phone, but if you follow the steps, it works. I've done it twice now on a gs4 active and a gs3.
Good luck

Can't blame that one on xda. Lol
I'm researching a couple things i thought of, but the biggest thing i hope you learned is to have a backup of your efs somewhere safe, and anyways do backups before you do any rom changes or mods.

Bump for this!
We really need a recovery for A700F, we already have root thanks to ShinySide, but without Recovery there's no chance for custom ROMS.
I would have developed/ported it by myself but I haven't found any guide how to do it and I don't have the sufficient knowledge.

You're wrong, as long as you have root you can install custom roms with Flashfire, in fact it does most things a custom recovery can including backups.
If I get time I'll knock up a build of twrp.
What build is this device running at the moment, is it bootloader unlocked and is it Exynos or qualcomm?
I require someone to upload their recovery.img from the stock firmware.
Note: I don't have this device so a decent tester is required who doesn't mess about.

Thats not a problem I just need to adjust the resolution.
It works OK apart from that, backups etc?
Can you check adb works. Load ADB, Connect your device and type ADB DEVICES. See if your device is detected.
What's your time zone? I'm UK so it's around 1.00pm now, won't be home until 7pm ish.
Will you be available for more testing?

So i am sitting at around 3:22 pm on Athens time-zone and the unfortunate thing is that i will be leaving home by 7pm and be returning by 10:30pm (School stuff :/ ) so we can work after i am home ,that'd be around 8:30 for your time-zone. Everything seems usable , I am installing as i am typing, the adb services along with SDK. Will update when i get it up and running. Cheers

Perfect, that's what you should see.
Go ahead with your mods just make sure your backup works first.
Will post up another build later to test with the resolution fix.

Confused by model and build compatibility.

I've rooted / flashed roms onto HTC and Samsung devices before but I'm pretty lost with this one...
My model number: ALE-L23
My build number: ALE-L23C605B140
I have two simple(?) goals.
- get root access
- install a custom rom
Which threads should I be looking at to make sure they are compatible with my device? Any help or insight into this is greatly appreciated.
Seems like I am not the only one.... Can you check your vendor & country code? My build # (B044) is even older than yours.
As for ROOT, I come across this but I haven't try

Hi, whatid. I don't know where I can check this. I don't see anything like it in the "About Phone" section of settings. How do you know that the threads about custom roms and rooting here on XDA don't apply to our phone model/version?

the vendor and country code can be seen by going to the dialer and pressing *#*#2846579#*#*
you can try this method. its a standard root methode that works without changing or unlocking bootloader altough you're gonna need it if you want a custom rom wich are not available yet.

Help unlocking a phone

So a friend gave me a free smart phone for my birthday so I could play pokemon go. Its a Samsung galaxy core prime, a Trac fone version. My current phone is an LG Cosmos 2. My problem is apparently the phone is locked from accepting my Verizon plan so I can't switch my number over. Verizon gave me a new SIM card for it. The phone reads it's there, but when I tried to switch my number it wouldn't activate. Verizon said it's because it was a pre paid and hadn't been on long enough to unlock it fully. Is there any work around so I can unlock it and use it on my Verizon account? I am having issues with the back up assistant on my LG Cosmos. Its ttached to my old number and won't switch. So none of my numbers will back up. Which means switching them to my new phone won't work. Thank you to anyone who can help.
Well I guess no one knows.
Try reinstalling your rom. Download your rom (details are in -settings -about phone) the put your phone into recovery and flash the rom using odin.
