Me , no I never liked iOS. Making the switch to android is the best thing ever.

Only if I can put Android on it.
nope. If it were something crazy revolutionary, maybe, but it's exactly the same as the iPhone 4. Granted, I would love to have a retina display on my Shift (let alone my iPad lol)
Everyone I know that uses android says they hate iPhone, but every time I think they just are biased. I moved from iPhone because I loved customizability, but you can't deny iPhone has it strengths. And when you hold that device, you just can't not love how it feels, and how italways is fast and works. Not to mention when HTC rocked the 5 MP camera, apple had a 3.2 that would blow it out of the water. Just because we love android guys, you can't deny apple can make a device.

F*ck yeah, we get Android on that thing and we'll be good to go!
I'm sticking to my shift its a epic phone once rooted and overclocked.the only thing I like about the new iphone is the retina display if I could get that on my shift that would be badddda$$ lol but other then that nah I could care less about apple products I just don't see the purpose when if u break it down to actual cpu specs then there products aren't too impressive considering all the cpu chips we have on android based phones/tablets.its just like pc's you can get a intel quad core desktop for around 800 but if u want that as a mac its 3k.its all about preference though that's just my thought on apple products it just seems like a marketing gimmick to me.
1 word: Disappointed
i thought about it then realized i'm not retarded and love the open source of android and like what it has to offer. plus Miui looks and runs better than IOS so i'm good

Back to the topic at hand even though I don't like the iPhone I can say, however, from a consumer's standpoint the iPhone 4S is a major disappointment. Everyone was hoping for something new and innovative that would have put Android on edge under the banner iPhone 5 and instead what we got was basically a marginal upgrade to the iPhone 4. There's no WiMAX or LTE 4G setup because they moved to the "World Phone" design probably to reduce manufacturing costs and instead gave their 3G radio a minor update that ups its speed from 7mbps to 14mbps which is also disappointing since its competition has been pushing 21+mbps HSPA+ 3G all this year. Other then that it got a new iOS upgrade which comes as no surprise and a dual core version of the iPhone 4's CPU. Beyond that there's no change which makes it seem like under Apple's new leadership this past year (remember Jobs left someone else in charge while he focused on his health this past year) has shifted most of the R&D's funding to the Legal department to promote their current anti-competitive legal campaign.
It's not much better than the iPhone 4, it only has a different proccesor, better camera, and siri. Apple, in my opinion, has failed. But there will always be a part of Steve Jobs in Apple. For Apple/ phone/ everyone who's heard of Apple and Steve Jobs, he will be dearly missed.

Ya, sprint really dropped the ball on this release. So they are marketing to the 8 yr olds that want a Nintendo DS phone? Booo
I agree...what a freaking joke. I was really not expecting that.
This is bad. In a moment people were expecting to fail by being an iPhone, or stupid tablet... Sprint exceeded all expectation, and single handedly facilitated millions of facepalms across America.
Wait for another industry first. "The only phone to sell a whopping 0 units."

Turns out... they really did just leave us with that p.o.s.

Probably not. It is an industry first, but it's also pretty much just a gimmick, like 3D. I would have been much more interested in a dual core phone, or even an Evo with an updated processor.
I can see how it would be good for mulittasking...if it had the power of a dual core processor...but the specs are very underwhelming, and the battery life is going to be horrible.
Its not that bad a phone but sprint did themselves a great disservice by hyping it up so much. People where expecting something huge and instead got a phone.

Yes. Yes you are.
The issue is that it "may" be a good phone once some people get their hands on it and play with it.
But you cannot deny the overwhelming negative response (see their facebook page) as a pretty big sign that it may not be a good phone.
If you look at it from a sales/marketing POV they would much rather have a phone that everyone thinks looks really cool at a press release, but then falls a little short of expectation in the real world. At least they sell some phones, and the high initial praise helps sustain the life of the phone.
Now look at this situation, especially in this economy, 99% of the initial response is bordering "verbal lynch mob", even if it a good phone, how many people will actually give it a chance?
First impressions can kill...........
It's an interesting concept, I'll give them that, but it's made by Kyocera, looks like a brick and not a lot of developers will go out of their way to make use of both screens.

. Under the hood there's a 1GHz second-gen Snapdragon running Android 2.2 -- we'll forgive the older software because Kyocera had to do extensive customization to add dual-screen support to seven core apps like the browser, email, and messaging.

Its too bad Apple, has fallen off with innovation and creativity, they really do make products that for the most part work great....but stale product offerings have really pushed me away from their mobile devices....there really isnt enough in iOS nor current iPhones/the newest iPad to get me to go out and buy one of their devices, and I've used iphones and ipads since their release...I will say however i still love using my MB Air =) Wondering what the iP5 will bring, iOS6 was just announced and I couldnt have been any less enthused..

Uh no they won't. Google isn't intimidating like Apple when it comes to concept patenting for a start. Google also did not patent turn by turn navigation or is the first that came up with this idea. GPS devices had turn by turn nav years ago.
It's annoying reading the tech bloggers at engadget and other sites being absolutely blown away by improvements such as higher resolution displays, more ram, more memory, etc. When Samsung or Asus comes up with a tablet or pc with higher resolution than an iPad they toss it off as an unnecesary improvement over something that was already ok.
They "reinvented" the laptop by what? Making it thinner? Sure, it's an amazing product, but an Asus transformer is a much larger step towards the future. I guess we'll keep seeing "lack of micro sd slot" in the Cons list of the HTC One X but fail to see the same on every iPhone's.

I don't see why not if apple can sue for such trivial things that are not even in the apple line of products the patent game is horrible even if google implemented one little thing to use eg how nav contacts with 3g. Really funny how it's only Samsung and Samsung made devices that are on the hit list so far....
Though if they drag google into it then ALL android devices will be affected... Will be funny to see how this will pan out as before it was Apple (America - LA) vs Samsung (Korea) and Apple won, now it will be Apple vs Google (both America based) and that might be a fairer match...
Apples litigation only alienates consumers. I for one will never purchase another product from them no matter how good it is.
They should try competing with products instead of competing in the court room.
I mean after sometime you just lose respect - they are in news for these court cases lately. If they had put this much energy in improving their own product(s), they wouldn't have to fall back on "retina" every time a new (really ?) product was released..

We all laugh because iPhone 6/6+ finally add things we had in 2012, but in reality I'd say Apple finally caught back up to Android. All the main features of Android are now present in the iPhone 6/6+. I'm shocked that Apple finally gave up Steve Jobs' silly notion that large screens are bad. 4.7" and 5.5" are solid screen size options that cover most people'swishes.
You still have to deal with Apple's closed ecosystem. In terms of phone lockdown, though, since carriers in the US are locking down Android handsets more and more that point becomes less of an issue here in the US.
I'm still primarily considering Note 4 and Nexus X/6/5(2014)/whatever to replace my Note II, but this is finally a new serious contender from Apple.
