I guess it is possible we just have to wait for Kalim n Arco coz there is something responsive about 2.3.7

The screen resolution on the hero is bigger than the Tattoo's.. So it would have to be rescaled.. Other than that i really doubt you would be able to get it to run smoothly..

New Sense UI for Legend

Hi... can we get new sense UI too?
No. No we can't.
Nor will we ever. HTC doesn't give a monkey's f**k about updating "midrange" handsets.
Well that's sucks...

Come on guys I think there is a dev who is up to the task....Anything can be ported, right?
So I went and peeked into Desire Development the other day and saw that the new Sense was ported, and I was like "Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn".

If our Legend got a 800x480 screen and Armv7 CPU, everything could be much more easier.

Really nice
From what I can see this is sence 2.3 Android RUU, it has to be ported to HD2 asap. Go guys make the most awesome nand Rom yet.
Edit: it's only 2.2.1, but still a build would be nice

2.2.....not 2.3
Is it Android 2.3?
If so that would be really great!

It has nothing really surprising.. same sense as seen on Desire HD.
Hehehe... Very nice... HD2 is not a normal mobile phone... like as our developers.
Anything new? Maybe some cool apks we can pull?
I would really enjoy a NAND version of this. I like the way this sense looks. They aren't major differences in the u.i., but there are some.
I like HTC Hub as well.
I saw this in the irc logs last day, that Mdeejay already cooked a build for HD2 and he said that the size of the system.img is 850mb in that Verizon's stuff is around 150mb which is not really good for EU HD2 Users.

TMOUS version
So has this even been revamped for the HD2 to use or is it just one that we aren't going to get? I remember when the DHD came out there was a rip for us within a week! OK, so it is a bit too big for the 512 version but I'm sure that some of us with the 1024 would love to at least try this. I know I am really curiouse as to why the system is so much larger that the DHD version of the ROM. At worst it would require a data image on the SD like so many of the ROMs have for the 512 to work on our 1024.
Now I'm no developer and I have no idea what it takes to get something like this working also I dont mean to come off wrong I was just curious.

Help please

Im running a rooted desire at moment got my dhd today on upgrade i was going to sell it and keep my desire. Is this a bad idea? Just havent looked into the rooting scene with the dhd is it as easy and is thr as many roms ect?

I went from a Hero to a DHD so the jump was massive, but I'm not sure you will notice that much of an improvement over a Desire.
Rooting is very easy if you know what you're doing though, and there are some great ROMs available. Probably not as many as Desire, but the quality is there.
Why not take a look where all the magic happens:

Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Yeah man, you can use LauncherPro on the DHD too
Really dunno what to do aha

I'd use the DHD as it's newer and has bigger screen etc, but ultimately your decision

[Q] [QUESTION] is it possible to have Desire HD Gingerbread SD ROM?

Sir,
just want to know/request if we can have a HTC Desire HD Gingerbread ROM for HD2, i love HTC Location app but it seems that theres no separate apk for this app. If possible for us to have this kind of build with very nice gb cm7 ui. thanks a lot Sir!
An MAGDLR ROM with Sense 2.1 + Gingerbread for our HD2 should be really appreciated.
Thats whats up! That would be sweet! I hope someone can make this happen.

Sense 3.0 would be possible, someone just needs to port it to the HD2, it has been done already but for NAND and not SD.

you can also try a miui build. very fast and eye candy.

I can definitely recommend CM7 HyperDroid if you want something dark, minimal and fast. It's also very stable and only needs a 150mb CWM partition.
I second UltimateDroid, it has awesome customization options.
I'm not a fan of sense, but I'd definitely give it a go. HD2 has 2.0, 2.1 and 3.0!
And you could even try MIUI ROMs aswell, they have some really interesting features. And they only need a small (120mb I think) CWM partition which is always good.
