I dont own an Evo yet, but im not new to android. I come here for a friend that is very new to android and I like to help. I understand this is a new phone so many people are flocking to it. But I honestly cant believe how many people are posting things in random places. The development thread looks like the general section. Its hard to even find what im looking for.
I know many mods are on it. But the rules of this site (stating what i said above in a professional manner) need to be stickied on all 5 threads for the time being. Hoping it cuts down on useless threads and cluttering of (personal opinion) the development thread.
I was going to post this in the dev thread, hoping people would read it. But i figured it would be hypocritical since this inst dev related.
Second post on the same topic.
No offence, but I'll stick the other one .
Dave

With that being said, please take a moment to review XDA forum rules. Anyone found intentionally violating these rules will be punished.
The most important "rule" I urge you not to forget is, HAVE FUN and BE COURTEOUS! Thank you and I look forward to keeping "ORDer" and "Peace" throughout the forum.
Thinking of posting a new thread???
Use the search button on the top bar between "New Posts" and "Quick Links"
Threads posted in the wrong fora will be moved initially; however, for repeat offenders, the moderating team will look to take action to rectify the situation in a manner it believes is appropriate
WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE.
It is the responsibility of all users to keep the fora organized and clean. We need you to do your bit to keep things orderly.
REPORT THEM
To the dedicated members that care to keep this forum, sub forums included, clean and organized and grouped.
Please start reporting threads to the mods to take action. Please use the REPORT button to do so.
Thank You and happy easy searching.

I am reiterating what Deca said above. It is just me and Jayharper08 now. Adding to the above, I will move threads to where they belong without notice since that only serves to bump the thread. Q&A is for ALL questions. General is for announcements and general statements (including rants apparently). I think we will keep surveys in the General forum for now unless people object, because they really are a question.
With that said the Epic community is fantastic. So much so that with all the traffic here the top guys felt you only need 2 mods. So let's all help to make this the shining star of XDA.
Thanks
FNM
There is a dedicated forum for asking questions and as usual people are starting to post their questions in the Wrong Forum..
ANY questions posted in the Development OR General Forums are subject to deletion and possible infraction against your account. Forum and Senior Mods have better things to do with their time on here than moving threads into the correct forums.
I want to squash this problem now BEFORE it gets worse as its a big problem on xda forums but is VERY EASY to fix just by posting your questions in Q&A. Please do so..
Thank you.
Mark.

Okay guys, it's been a bit relaxed in here up until now, but I've just had a clean up and not one single thread in this forum was in the right place. Once things start rolling in here (hopefully before too long) it can get very messy very quickly.
Remember, this forum is for development releases only. If you want to discuss something then post in General. If you want to ask something then post in Q&A. If you're releasing ROMs, tweaks, hacks etc. then post in here.
If you're unsure about something then ask first - I'm happy to answer any and all questions.
Thanks for your co-operation
Any chance for a huge cleanup? There are tons of posts about interop, making threads hard to follow.
So i just read this and it looks too god to be true! I just hope this will be released soon, http://ykkfive.blogspot.com/2012/06...omment=1348871654986&m=1#c2199414045080180829

Didn't you read the rules? It might be a development link and if the developers themseleves created a thread for it then it would belong here. But you "breaking" the news of what other developers are doing does NOT belong in development.
Thread moved to general
15. Keep posts/threads on-topic
Whilst a minor amount of off-topic posting may be overlooked, the general rule is your posts / threads must be relevant to the Forum / thread in which you are posting.
General Forums - For news and announcements pertaining to your device.
Q&A Forums - For all question threads / posts. If there is no Q&A forum use the device General Forum
Accessories subforum - For posts related to accessories relevant to the phone model
Development Forums (ones with the word development in the title)- For developers to post release threads e.g. ROMs, Kernels, and mods.
Themes and Apps Forums - For themers to post themes and for app announcements and discussions.
