As the unlocking tools of bootloader for Motorola Atrix has existed, is there any process of the unlocking tools of bootloader for Motorola Milestone 2?
Sincerely hope this tool would come out as soon as possible.
Best Wishes!

First off, let me explain what a Pudding unlock is. In a nutshell, it is using a special sbf file that contains an unlockable bootloader meant for developmental needs. In order for it to be unlocked after the sbf is flashed a fastboot tool for Moto phones is needed, this is as far as I am explaining as it gets complicated after that.
So, we as the Droid X community need someone with the "connections" required to get us this sbf specific for the X. If anyone even remotely knows somebody with this requirement either reply or PM me.
Is it possible to unlock flipout from this website ? https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-b
Also is there any custom rom for it ?
No, the Unlock My Device program at the moment supports only one new device, the Photon Q 4G LTE.
I really hope that the masterminds at Motorola will soon add many more devices, especially older ones like the Flipout. Many of these devices are out of warranty by now anyway.
As for custom ROMs, there are none. Unfortunately the Flipout was not very popular with the modders. However, with an unlocked bootloader this could change.
So... how does one 'SIM unlock' this phone?
Do I understand right, that it needs to be rooted first?
Do I need to also CID unlock it, or is that only needed for flashing a custom ROM?

Only way for BF/Charm is by code, does not require root. Check ebay: search for "unlock mb511" or "unlock mb502" - fairly cheap these days,
Actually, bootloader unlock and carrier/sim unlock are two different things, so we're rather off-topic here.
I'm sure Moto has no interest in unlocking bootloaders of phones they've already sold, so in response to the OP I should say, "No; absolutely not; not ever."
I got the idea of changing the bootloader from my motorola charm, by the bootloader motorola razr a developer edition.

Is this possible? Where in the SBF is the bootloader?
Not possible, the razor and ruth devices have completely different hardware. Try it out if you want but you will brick your device.
DEV Device: MB511 (deodexed)
Current System: MT27i xICS
Long Live: V9 Ferrari Rom

Not possibe.
Unlocking a bootloader is about being able to flash any rom you desire but not changing the loader

I contacted the sony dev network to get a bootloader unlock for the VZW Z2 Tablet (SGP561).
I have not been able to unlock it yet, I have my unlock key and tried the official and the flashboot methods to no avail. Can someone guide me in the right direction for the unofficial method?
I tried the search mentioned but keep getting the same two results, official and flashboot.
Here is the response from dev world support:
Thanks for your email. Xperia Z2 Tablet is confirmed as a supported device for Unlock bootloader. Unfortunately, if you receive the message on the device that it is not allowed, this is due to operator restrictions. In this case, the operator Verizon, has not allowed for unlocking the bootloader on this device. There is no official Sony solution to unlock the bootloader for the Verizon Xperia Z2 Tablet, but there are other ways to get around this. Just do a search for “unlock bootloader Verizon tablet Z2” for alternate options, and please note that unlocking the bootloader may void your warranty.
Best regards,

Would like to see this accomplished.
I don't have a Developer Edition yet I would like to unlock the bootloader. I want to root this thing but I don't know how to unlock the bootloader. Any help?
If you haven't noticed already, I have a Droid Maxx 2.
Also if possible I would like to keep my Verizon service please. The unlock code will not work because Verizon apparently won't allow it, so is there a way to unlock the bootloader?
I will get together with some of my friends from work and well take a look at this Devices security. Usually these new droids are TZ protected and I have the droid Maxx but I just purchased this device. I'm sure it won't be as tough as the Droid Maxx to Root or find a vulnerability in the security to unlock its bootloader. Do you know if it has trust zone security?
Motorola website says "your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking." I assume Verizon, right?
