[Q] The Windows Live ID Service is unavailable at this moment - Omnia 7 General

I use mango for a few days.
Samsung Omnia7 16GB from t-mo.de store (the price was 199 euro in august)
I flash over it UK Retail ROM , and upgraded it up to mango via Zune (forcing)
Few days everything was OK. But now i can't install any app from marketplace.
Other features working fine. What i should do?
The error text: "The Windows Live ID Service is unavailable at this moment. Try again later".

installed ROM: Samsung Omnia 7 Firmware XXJL3 RETAIL UNITED KINGDOM

I never got an LG update during my ownership of the phone. In reviewing other people's posts, I've noticed that those of us with unbranded phones typically have lower firmware and radio software version numbers. I don't know if LG actually released a non-carrier version of the e900h, but assuming they did not, it is entirely possible that they aren't pushing out firmware updates to a phone they never actually released. This could explain why some of us haven't received the LG update. I will probably rebrand i I notice that others get the eventual wifi update, and I do not.
Disclaimer: I don't know how updates are pushed and this is just speculation.

Mine is unbranded and I forced the Mango update and firmware also automatically updated from 1.0.1.12 -> 1.1.2.10

So I don't think it has anything to do with branded or unbranded.

Yes, but it seems you have an e900, not the e900h with US bands. I see in the ROMS section there is a ROM for a non-carrier EU Open e900, but there is no such ROM for the e900h. This is why I speculated that there was never a non-carrier e900h and thus unbranded e900's may not be getting pushed certain updates

[Q] Calls not connecting since Mango update

I have an unbranded sim free 16gb Omnia 7 on which I used the trick to force the Mango update.
Since the update, when someone calls me it does display the call or ring. I just get a missed call notification on the phone and a text message from my provider advising that so and so called me .
Has anyone had the same problem?
OS: 7.10.7720.68
FW: 2424.11.8.5
HW: 3.15.0.4
Radio: 2424.11.7.2
BL: 5.8.1.9

[Q] Why does my firmware version is so old?

Hi,
I have some problems with my unbranded Omnia 7 device:
-digital compass doesn't work
-no hidden wifi handler
-connection problems during calls
I think that this problems are due to the firmware version and drivers (very old).
This is my situation:
PDA: I8700XXJK1
PHONE: I8700XXKB2
CSSC: I8700DBTJK1
SO: 7.10.7720.68
Firmware: 2424.10.11.1
Hardware: 3.15.0.4
Radio SW: 2424.11.2.2
Radio HW: 0.0.0.800
Bootloader: 5.2.1.4
SOC: 0.36.2.0
I have tried to solve these problems with a hard reset and restoring old backup... but nothing has changed.
Well, at least you're not alone having ancient firmware.
I've got
Firmware: 2424.11.1.1
Radio SW: 2424.11.1.1
Bootloader: 4.1.0.5
I have problems with bluetooth connectivity which got introduced immediately after an upgrade. My immediate reaction was to suspect a firmware/software incompability, and thought everything would be corrected with a firmware upgrade (which seems to take forever to appear). My phone is unbranded, seems to be a bit unclear if and when these devices will have firmare upgrade... How about yours... unbranded?
Hi,
thank for your replay.
Yes, I'have a unbranded phone from Germany.
PDA: I8700XXJK1
PHONE: I8700XXKB2
CSSC: I8700DBTJK1
I want to try to send it to the samsung assistance and say to them: " Hei, my digital compass doesn't work! please fix it with a firmware/driver update! "

[Q] Any way of getting Samsung updates?

My Omnia 7 still doesn't support the AllShare app, and won't connect to Wifi reliably when mobile data is enabled, yet as I understand it there has been a Samsung update around for a while which fixes these issues? My phone is a German T-Mobile device, and whilst I've got 8107 on there the rest I think is quite old:
OS: 7.10.8107.79
Firmware: 2424.11.9.4
Hardware: 3.15.0.4
Radio software: 2424.11.9.1
Radio hardware: 0.0.0.800
Bootloader: 5.9.3.0
Is there any way of getting the Samsung updates without having to use Zune and waiting for T Mobile to provide it? Or would my only option be to flash a generic ROM?
Thanks
Use CAB sender (search for it)

your Firmware: 2424.11.9.4 is actuall and newest from T Mobile. The newest Firmware of free carrier, unbranded devices is 2424.11.11.2 (i8700xxkk2) - with compass and allShare support. to update over cab sender tool but your Bootloader: 5.9.3.0 is not compatible with it or other Firmware. The only chance is to Flash a unbranded ROM and to update it to OS: 7.10.8107.79 (2 hour work ) or but you flash a new tango 8773 ROM with 11.11.2 Firmware, like my mi7ROM or from ceesheim or but stay still on it
Thanks for the replies... I'll probably stick with what I have then.
