It is question about "pin to unlock network" just after "standard" pin demand.

yeah...you understood what i have ...is your phone locked on Orange maybe? . It's ok that lock...but how to remove it?

When that screen opens asking you for network unlock don't do anything, just look at the cursor in the textbox, when it stops blinking wait until it starts again and then press dismiss...
It worked for me...

It's strange because I can see that request in a random way. Today i turned on my phone without that request (only normal pin code). Anyway I see two buttons...OK and Cancel...doing like you said request should not appear anymore? Because i always clicked cancel...without waiting...

I have also problem with "pin to unlock network"
it appear after "normal" PIN screen randomly
I never had any problem with it click dismiss and it work
I think that this is because bootloader unlock witch I did installing CM7.1.0

Yeah, it's kinda random and my method should help any time it happens, but I still haven't found a way to fix it completely

Is it so hard??? Press dismiss and after that remove pin code!!1 Problem solved!

PIN code request appears before the unlock request. It's simply boring clicking cancel every time..and with previous stock firmware I never had this problem..

Xperia locks by itself and does not take unlock code and i have to remove battery

I use built in LOCK function and simple 4 digit PIN. It normally works fine. I use it to lock after 12 or 24 hours etc. But if XPERIA is not used for long, say 12 hours or so, it locks by itself. Then it doesn't accept my unlock code and I have no option but to remove battery and reboot the device.
Can't understand why this happens.
And what is the solution?
Don't set it to lock by itself.

I put the lock code only after it started to lock by itself as I quoted earlier, i.e. it used to get locked without any code so i put a lock code (although I didn't wished to put any lock code or get it locked at all!) hoping that by making it lock and providing a lock code, at least I will be able to unlock it even if it locks. But it behaes exactly as it did before witout any lock code provided. Does this mean, is there any default lock code? like I tried 12345, 54321, oooo etc. with no sucess.
software update?
probably a long shot but have you tried doing a hard reset, or flashing the latest software using SEUS?
It might just be corrupted registry data.
YO
if u check out ur phone with SKTools ull see on the bottom of one of the tune-up pages ur code(not sure if its the code u need)
by default mine shows a1b2c3 ...

X10 Phone Lock?

Hey guys,
Just wanted to know how do I set a phone lock for the x10, I want it to appear only when switching on the phone and not during screen timeouts.
I used to be able to do this with a lot of old SE phones where it would ask me for the code only once when the phone is switched on.
You just go to Settings> Security> Sim Lock and set one in there. That will only prompt you for a pin number when you switch on your phone.

But that would only ask me the pin only when that SIM is inserted. If I use a different SIM it wont ask me for the pin.
I would like to lock the phone regardless of which sim is inserted into the phone.

I was referring to the pin code...the old SE phones used to call it phone lock. I assumed it to be the same on this.
I would set a 4 digit pin and it would ask me for a 4 digit pin everytime the phone is switched on, and it wont ask me for a pin during screen timeouts.
All I could find on the sony ericsson website is this:
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/phones/detailed/phonelockcodeissues/xperiax10?cc=gb&lc=en
which refers to what I want, but it doesn't tell me how to setup the phone lock.

Is it possible to require pattern, but not slide to unlock?

I would love to use the pattern to unlock, but don't want to have to slide to unlock and enter the pattern. I tried apps that take away the slide to unlock ("No Lock", etc.), but they take away both. Is this possible?
Yes. Get " no lock" dev is BoD
I have it, I use it, love it.
you must be doing something wrong in settings. It does just the slide on my EVO.

So let me get this straight. When you power on your phone, all you see is the pattern to unlock, and after the pattern to unlock your phone is unlocked?
If my "No Lock" app disables lock, then when I power on my phone I get no slide or pattern to unlock, despite pattern to unlock being activiated. Once I enable locking in "No Lock," then both slide and then pattern unlock are back.
Is this not the case for you? I tried all kinds of different things to no avail...
I found found the same problem in other threads. I would link to them but I am too new and XDA wont let me.
Oh snap...my bad...guess it doesn't anymore? I had my lock pattern off for a while now and just re-enabled it and low and behold...kills em both.
When I first installed It shortly after EVO launch day it killed just the slide portion....must have changed through a update? Sorry.

leave it under tap water for 2 mins than take the battery out and put it back in. now you should be unlocked.
If it was your kid who did that and he was smart enough to put down the same lock pattern twice, he should be smart enough to tell you which pattern he used, right?
Just do all you you can to get into download mode and do a wipe. I don't know odin but I think that can help you? If you bring to t mobile they will just put it in download and wipe.

If you try entering the incorrect pattern five times you will see a screen where there will be a place to click for people who forgot their password. It will ask you to enter your gmail user name and password. then will ask you to set a new unlock pattern and you will be fine
Get into recovery and do a factory reset/wipe depending on the recovery you use, keep trying tell you get it to boot into recovery.
You dont need to factory reset my method works fine already tested

Hey Guys, I have the same problem. I have an unlocked T-mobile phone here in Ontario Canada so that I can use it on the Wind mobile network.
I can't rememeber the pattern or the phone won't accept my pattern, I have lost my mind. I tried many different times.
the phone does not ask me for gmail account after 5 times but keeps on waiting 30 secs after 5 tries and then lets me try againa and again and again.
I tried to reset the phone with holding the vol down and pushing the power button, but it only goes back to the pattern screen.
I can answer the phone when I call it but that is it.
Can some one please help me.
I also downloaded kies, but it wont connect since I cannot get into the settings of the phone to let the usb connect with kies.
hope you can help..
cheers.

Hold both the vol+ and vol- and the power. You will see vibrant on the screen. Well keep on holding it will go black again. Keep holding... It will come back...let go...you should be in recovery mode. Delete user data. This will wipe your phone.

Hey seriously does this work? I have a Vibrant and two other Android phones (ie three different unlock patterns). I took the requirement to do the unlock patern off on the vibrant for the last couple of months and when I thought of allowing it I realized I have been messing with the other two phones more and forgot the unlock pattern on the vibrant.
Currently my Vibrant is in use but I will like to be able to lock the screen now that my GPS and lag problems are much better fixed, but I do not want to wipe everything first. If this works I can enable the lock pattern and try different patterns till I get to this screen....but it has to be for real before I loose all my connections and presets etc on the phone.

yeah, i've noticed that too but tbh, i wouldn't buy one of those just in case it was stolen. i'm hoping ppl will also be as wary of those devices.
This Is What Happened To Me, My Friend Kept Doing The Unlock Pattern And Made My Phone Get Locked Out, I Wasn't Worried Cause I Had My Email And Pass, Well Turns Out The Email And Pass Didn't Work...At All, It Kept Saying It Was Wrong And I Couldn't Go Into Recovery Mode Or Download Mode Because I Guess It Was A Hardware Locked Vibrant? I Have No Clue, Long Story Short This Is What You Do, Either Switch Out The Vibrant, OR Go Into ADB And Fastboot, Reboot Into Recovery

I tried this, it still will not go to recovery mode. Are there any other ways of having to put this phone in recovery?
I am so pissed.
thanks guys
If your phone does not get into recovery or download. Best thing to do is just bring it into samsung for warranty repairs or exchange. Samsung canada covers it now free of charge. That's what I had to do, nothing worked for my first i9000m to get into recovery/download.

you are full of chit my friend. I've locked myself out of multiple android devices using the lock pattern and my gmail account unlocked them all.
If you don't know the unlock code and don't know the gmail username and password for your email account... sounds pretty darn stolen to me.
prove me wrong and I will be happy to help other wise go find a new route you thieves.

I did not steal this phone I bought it. I just calle tech support in Canada, and they told me to call tech support in the US. The US tech support told me that to do a hard reset, I have to hold down the Vol up and Vol Down button and power button for 15 sec and then let go to get to a reboot screen. I tried and it did not work. Then I asked to send the phone in for repairs and they said that it was not in warranty since I used it in canada???? Now I am **** out of luck.
cheers.

Double screen lock

Wanted to change to the screen lock where you do a certain pattern as opposed to just slide across screen. But when I enable it, the original slide across the screen lock is there as well so I end up having to unlock that, then the pattern lock.
So how do I turn off the one that just slides across the screen???
Cheers

You don't, it's impossible for now (without root).
Bollocks. Is it one of the many things that Orange have added? Like the also very annoying backup pish that kept popping up!!
Nope, it's in the generic firmware too.
Argh! So what's the point then!! I don't want two different locks!! Other than that, the phone is fantastic!!
The point is.. if you fail the pattern too many times then it locks the phone up completely.. so not having the swipe to unlock screen would cause many problems..!!

I have the same problem (Xperia Neo), I'm rooted. How do I remove the slide-unlock-thingy and keep only the pattern-unlock?
The only method I know is an app called Antilock that skips the slide to unlock screen but keeps the pattern unlock
