I think something screwed up when I ODIN'd sometime back. I just want to go back to stock and use Sprint's Update tool. But I cant find that anywhere. Can someone send it to me or provide a link?
thanks

There is a samsung update tool also that let's you flash tars
GituSum Epic4G
Check out this collection.
why would you want the SWUpdate tool? odin and heimdall work so much better..
There was a samsung update package for eb13 many months ago. That can do ota to ec05. Its just a stripped down version of odin tho. Maybe try flashing with a new data cable first.
It used to be posted on samsung website but it was taken down a while ago.

Thanks man. This was exactly what I was looking for.
My Battery life has been jacked up sicne I've switched to Gingerbread and its hasn't gone back to normal. This would be my last hope. I"m guessing something got screwed up that maybe ODIN cant fix but the SW Update tool can...crossing fingers.
I'll download tonight when I get home, thanks guys...
Well the EB13 update tool was on the Wiki since April 20th, but was removed on Sept 22nd along with a crap load of other items. Guess someone got edit happy.

iFile.it deletes files after so long. Unfortunately, they've made it towards you have to register to download, which is crap, BUT you can upload and download MUCH larger files than you can with MediaFire or a lot of other sites.
So there is no waiting. If you can register with iFile.it, TRUST ME, it's FREE and it's worth it.

^^ Good Post! HAHA! ^^
This is the newest news from the Nexus S Dev Forum:
Update: We need another dump!
This dump was taken via fastboot oem unlock and adb pull /system and it's apparently missing permissions and symlinks.
We need to get a dump from a rooted, busybox installed Nexus S using the following command:
tar zcvf /sdcard/system-dump.tar.gz /system
Us Galaxy S users could also use a kernel dump.
Even if you have no clue how to do any of this, please go to http://webchat.freenode.net/ and join the channel #NSdev
Just mention that you have a Nexus S and we will walk you through the process.
-Thanks
Can't wait to see this baby running!

If you were to actually decrypt the file, you would see that the entire naming has changed, which is why I was unable to find it yesterday. they are using TMKKA5 in the link now.
