Hello All,
I am facing a weird issue, all of a sudden the battery meter and the clock disappeared from my device task bar, instead, there appears a strange white circle that seems to be an unclear battery indicator, i tried installing/uninstalling many task bar apps but i faced the same issue..
is there a way to reset the task bar to default settings? or any other ideas ?
hard reset
Taskbar is probably set to show analog clock
You taskbar is probably set to show analog clock instead of digital one.
To reset it back just press the on/off button on your phone (so the lock screen appears) and while it is still locked press and hold the taskbar - a menu will pop-up allowing you to set the clock back to digital.
Hope this helps.
thx tzacapaca..i was hoping to fix it without hard reset
Thx Norris5 .. i didnt know about that option..i tried it, i found it already set to Digital, changed it to analog and then back to digital and it worked..u rock mate

I found the setting to show the clock whilst in a program, and that's nice. However I would like it to show in the taskbar all the time. Is there any way of doing this?
I came across this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/vie...ays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=lvmtime&start=0
But it seems to only show the clock sometimes, and when it is shown the volume icon is shown as muted when it is not.
So does anyone know how to make the clock show in the taskbar all the time? A registry hack perhaps?
Thanks.
the lvm time works fine with me. it just covers the battery icon on the Today screen.
Well as I said, it occasionally shows the battery icon, occasionally the clock - I haven't worked out when it shows which, but it isn't showing the clock all the time for me.
If you use PocketPlus with it's bar-like battery meter, you don't need default batt icon at all
Anjow, I found that my clock was not visible and came here to find a solution. I found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=278745 and set the registry entry to '1' (DWORD) as it was set to '0' (DWORD). You'll need to do a (soft) reset of your device for this to take effect, but let us know if this does what you want, or what the value is at the moment.
I'm having an issue where some of my icons on the upper right of the start bar aren't appearing. If you click on the bar where the icon should be it's still bringing up the menu for the audio but the icon is just invisible. My connection icon for signal strength is also cut in half. I've tried resetting and doing a hard reset but it didn't fix the issue. Have any of you run into a similar issue?
Do you have a HTCustom installed? If you have a customizer installed and you have the Remove Battery Icon From Tray clicked then it will remove the battery icon but may leave what looks like a patch that reveals no icons.
What is happening to you is what had happened to me and that was what was causing it... hope that helps.
I gave it a try and did a reset but I still have the issue. My Com icon is sliced right through the center and there are no icons to the right of it at all. I'm tempted to just re-flash the stock ROM again and start over..
Thanks for taking the time to reply, I appreciate it.
Hi all
I have recently change my rom on my Elf and now i have the clock in the taskbar only on today and when i am in landscape mode but when i am in a program in portrait mode the disapear.
Is someone know the registry key which gives me the clock always in taskbar please?
well first make sure that in the clock settings under other you have the box checked that says show clock in taskbar in all programs.
If Thats not your problem then change this reg key.
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Shell/Showtitlebarclock change the value to 2 and soft reset
I test now and can i have the clock and also battery status in taskbar?
[EDIT] I did it and still don't have the clock when i am in a program
'll Show please and in turn your clock away from the top bar at all? What would not appear on the top bar or anywhere!

Does anyone know how to remove the small 4 segment battery icon from the lower tray in the today screen. I don't really see the point in it existing with the one in the upper taskbar being there already.
I've already checked for running tasks, as well as startup programs for a program which may be creating the icon, but I can't seem to find anything suspicious. I think it must be part of a hidden process which I can't seem to find.
I have searched the SEX1 forums extensively and not founf anything relating to the icon in question. I can try and take screenshots if anyone is unsure about the specific icon I am talking about.
For reference, i'm currently using Norti's excellent "nX1i v1.04" rom.
Thanks in advance for any responses/solutions you may have.
It is there so that if you have the clock displayed at all times in the title bar, there still is a battery indicator (By displaying the clock in titlebar you lose the battery icon). Anyway here's how to remove it: Get yourself a registry editor and set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\Power\ShowIcondword to 0. Then Softreset. The icon will be gone IF it's this one. Of course it is possible that on your ROM there is another software installed which produces the icon, but I don't guess that.

Yay, finally gone!
Thanks for that, it's always the simple things you forget to do, like searching the registry. Now that i've got the panels button mapped to the start menu too, this may well be my favourite device yet. I think I may like it even more than my HTC Diamond...
I installed "QuickMenu 2.8" in my PDA, but the battery icon overlaps to the clock on the taskbar. How can I shift the icon (clock or battery, or another)?
Tnx everybody!
Do not know how your taskbar looks like......What I use is Battclock......http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=612083 .....which displays battery and clock above each other but various customizable options are possible. Basically it can cover current icons to give a better look.
Yes you can change position of icons via registry.....see attached example under 4.2 location http://touchlockpro.sourceforge.net/BSettings.html#4.10 ...but I warn you it is quite some manual work......
But you don't knows were could I found the registry value of the wm6.5 tasbar icon? becouse i don't wanna intall the taskbar program raccomanded by you.
Apart from the link I sent you I have not an overview of where to find registry for all other icons you want to move. Did it myself for the battery only.....
But your battery icon was installed by your program...isn't it? If I'll Know where is the value of my icon battery about "Quick Menu" Program, I've resolved my problem!
See if you have in registry HKCU\software\quickmenu. And than you have to find an X or Y indication for position of battery icon......play around with these values to see if it works. Note: soft reset after every change.....
I tried it...the key exists but inside there's nothing that calls to mind the X or Y Icon battery value....sigh!
