Pull the network right after checking for updates - if you get it right, you'll receive the update immediately and won't have to wait for the staged roll-out to reach you.
It was the same with NoDo.
How much time did you wait before u pulled off the network ?

Running Official Mango !!!!!!! Loving every bit !!
Update Version # 7.0.7403.0
It then updates to 7.10.7720.68
The below link should help too
http://www.wpcentral.com/force-mango-update-early-through-zune-software
This worked for me on my phone branded to T-Mobile UK just finishing installing the secound update now. Heres what i did
Debrand the hand set
Check for updates
Block out going connections with my firewall
Rebrand the hand set
Update
7.0.7403.0 is installed no problems. nearly finished installing 7.10.7720.68 has taken me nearly a hour.
Any tips on how to do the internet pull thingy?
It doesn't seem to work for me...
Every time I do the pull i get a message that there's a connection problem and when i reconnect i get a message that my phone is up to date...
I've got Zune running on a laptop with a wi-fi enable/disable key so following the instructions on wpcentral I selected Update, waited for it to say 'Your phone is up to date' then selected the item above (Linking), then selected Update again and immediately disabled wi-fi to kill networking and this worked a treat, now running Mango
Unfortuneately, I had hoped Mango might help with my Omnia's random rebooting/boot failure problem, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference :-(
Does seem to boot a lot quicker though (when it decides it wants to boot!!)

I'm sharing my experience with Mango update...
Omnia 7 ex T-Mobile but now unbranded
from NoDo 7392
Initially, I didn't get any update message when connecting with Zune and trigering Search update from Zune Settings -> Phone -> Update.
I tried the disconnection thingy about 10 times without success. At that point, on my phone, I had disabled WiFi and Data Connection, but I was connected to the carrier network. I disconnected Internet on the pc after 3-4 seconds. I tried multiple times altering that timeframe to no avail. Some say that u have to disconnect quickly less than 3 seconds, almost after searching for update.
My next guess was to go to Airplane mode on my handset, and after the first try - voila - I got prompted that there is an update, 7.0.7403.0, clicked OK, connected Internet back on the PC and continued with the installation. I can't be sure if getting the phone to Airplane mode did the trick or I got the disconnection timing right, but you don't lose anything trying this.
The update failed shortly after, because of low disk space on the PC (required for the backup). Estimate about 10 free GB's of free disk space on the hdd that you have installed Zune.
I freed some space connected again the phone to Zune and I got the prompt again without trying any disconnection work-around. Proceed to installation. Update to 7043 was successful and was prompted automatically to a new update, the long awaited 7.10.7720.68 Mango. After some steps, I can't recall at what step, I got a message that the update was not successful due to low disk space on the handset this time. I had about 320 MB's free before the update. Any worries for 'brickage', did not arise at all as I booted with the 7403 o/s, which was operatable 100%. At that point fw / radio / bootloader had NOT been updated.
Freed about 250 MB's of phone settings, bringing free space to 570 MB's, and that did the job. I connected to Zune, got prompted for Mango, completed update. Funny thing, that after the Mango update, free space was not lower than 570 MB's, but close to 800 MB's
So, summing up, get your phone to Airplane mode (may or may not help), ~ 8 GB's free on the PC, ~600 MB's free on the phone, and do not worry, very bad luck is required to brick your phone.
I didn't get of a 3rd update, as some have reported, the OEM update, but my firmware / radio / bootloader all have been updated to:
fw: 2424.11.8.5
radio: 2424.11.7.2
bootloader: 5.8.1.9
So, I assume, for those updating from NoDo, the OEM update is included in the Mango update.
Now running Mango, the ui is faster than NoDo, unbelievable. All apps keep on working, except for sideloaded homebrew apps that use native code and most patched OEM apps of other OEM's (but not all of them), all other apps, sideloaded or downloaded from Marketplace, homebrew or not, continue to work. All games still work, I could not spot any performance difference from removing the 30 fps cap.
In the Samsung section of the MarketPlace, or after searching for Samsung Electronics Co.,Ltd., I spotted a lot of new apps, some known, some never heard of. The apps not existent for NoDo are: AllShare (DLNA client), high fidelity position (GPS settings, adding GLONASS support), Mobile Print (I am not sure, maybe existent on NoDo), FunShot, MiniDiary, RSS Times, advanced text messages, Video Call (video calling through your operator 3G, chargeable)
A strange thing is I haven't received any pushed notification from the Marketplace to update any app. I have updated a couple manually without need of uninstall/re-install but not automatic notification whatsoever.
If you get a message saying when attempting to run an app, something like ''Microsoft has invoked the use of this app'', it means that (if you have a Developer unlocked phone) your phone has been locked; you have to repeat the Unlocking proccess with the Windows Phone Developer Registration option of Windows Phone SDK 7.1 tools. However, the maximum apps limit has been as well lowered to 10 apps (or 3 if a student dev), so I can't sideload any app (so no homebrew to assign max apps / or registry editor). Any ideas (other than hardressting and installing assign max apps, or uninstalling apps till u reach below 10 apps)
Tried the same thing multiple times now, no dice. Same as above posts, errors out when disconnected and says updated when connected.
The unbranded UK ROM shouldn't be an issue, should it?
Update: I finally got it to update, using the steps described. It was probably some weirdness with my desktop, which is probably why it only worked on my laptop. The delay needed seems to be about two seconds.

I would like to remind everyone that not all mobile operators ship mango, so just like in NoDo era (especially Omnia 7's from germany, also some other phones in America) you need to registry unbrand your phone. Start by getting WP7 Root Tools and then change the following in the registry:
Under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo] set:
MODeviceName=OMNIA7
MobileOperator=000-88
that should make this trick work if it does'nt work without network pull!

tried the network pull so many times, just checked those keys, MobileOperator was empty, i used a debrander from xda. entered 000-88, restart & network pull worked first time, disabled wifi after about 4 mississippis
I didn't get the OEM update how do i get it?
I've unbranded, turned on 3G updating, turned on flight mode, restarted both laptop and phone, and I've disconnected instantly to five seconds.
I guess I'll just wait for the official thing, perhaps the fact that I'm on the RTM is screwing with it?

Alright.. after much anticipation.. the rom release for the Telus HTC touch.
I randomly have been checking the site since I found the download page was updated on the HTC support page.. I ended up getting sick of the fact the the d ownload page was taken down so I copied down their server website and have been checking that. That is where the roms are actually upladed to so when the page is up it would link to the rom. Well on the server page (or whatever you call it) the telus update is there.
Check it out:
http://216.139.227.226/Telus/
So there we go. I'm going to flash my phone and see what goodies it does come with. Obviously rev A but I have my fingers crossed for gps too.
Oh and heres a direct link to the HTC support page for the Telus Touch... as you can see they havnt put up the download support page yet. So it was sort of a fluke I found this when I did as they havnt advertised it.

Had to call *22803 to program my phone (set PRL). That fixed the internet connection.
Rom works well, everything seems to be there. Have not had the chance to test GPS, yet.
will this work for bell phones too?
modified rom or official telus launch?
i have been waiting for this rom for a while. i knew it was in development and if you are wondering, the official rom will include rev a, location based services such as gps in google maps, tom tom and is bundled with Telus Navigator. It will enable threaded text-messaging, eliminate most of the freezing issues and help with bluetooth reliability. it also has an auto-pair with common passwords for bluetooth acc so it will speed up the process. my question is mainly to the starter of this thread? the file date i downloaded from the ftp site, is dated a few days ago and you said that you just found it. this does not seem to come from the htc site directly as most downloads come from members.american.htc.com unless thats just a masked address. simply put, is this an offical release or a modified version of what is out there?
i installed it and it works quite well, but i noticed a few odd things with it. the XT9 predictive is now not an option and its automatic for free typing fields, but you can't just turn it on by choice. internet explorer has crashed on me a few times, but this is minimal as i was trying to use the zoom out function on a content rich page. also, overall,t he device feels a little sluggish while going through the menus, but overall program support is speedy enough..
.
also, i happen to know for a fact that the telus rom version is:
3.00.661.1
but what you offerred as a download is:
3.07.661.1
why is it that this one seems to be a newer than the official one that telus released?
no, it wont work on bell, but the HTC website already has the bell update available... i don't believe the gps is unlocked for that model.
also, everytime you update the rom, all telus phones will lose their programming and you will need to OTASP... *22803 press 1 for english and 1 to program. as well, after it is done and the device resets... do the same, push 1 for english as well, but push 2 to upgrade the roaming list on your phone. it is import as you will have the most up to date preferred roaming list available from telus.
Hi mike.. I actually have NO idea.. The link I had (which is down now by the way) is the main server address for HTC.. if you were to go to say.. the altell support page for htc and click their rom download it will direct you to the http: 216.139.227.226 bla bla altell. same with Bell and the others. When I had orginall found this I figured that it would be uploaded there before there was a link put back up in the telus page since last time they did that and didnt have the rom I'm pretty sure they were bombarded with tons and tons of emails saying "what is going on wheres our rom!!!"
That said I installed it.. everything works fine. explorer hasnt crashed on me but I havnt messed around with it alot. I did however notice that my internet speeds arent any faster then they were before. I'm downloading between 700 and 850 kbps. Sometimes faster. But that was the same with the previous rom that was already on the phone stock. It also says EV in the top menu and 1x when its downloading sometimes. Not Rev A. The connection says CDMA1X (dial-up).
In regards to GPS I havnt been able to get tomtom to recognize the internal GPS yet. I tried using the gps launcher program which is supposed to prime it I think but still doesnt lock on. Once I switch over to my external bluetooh gps receiver it locks right away. So I dont even know if GPS works. I installed the telus navigation program and it said it was looking up the gps status and then found me on their map but I have a sneaky suspicion this might be through data.. I dont know though cause it was pretty damned accurate. Maybe I just need to try another gps priming program or something. Frustatrating though.
For those of you who have installed this do you have the same data info I have? the EV in the top menu bar? I could have sword I saw some screen shots of the rev A updates and it shows Rev A in the top menu. Maybe its cause I dont have it in my area? But I'm in London ontario.. so not some boon out area in the middle of no where.
Thanks guys!
ps.. any ideas on getting tomtom to work withought my external would be kindly appretiated as well. If anyone has been able to do so with this rom.
that sounds fair. i was just wondering if it was a hacked rom as i didn't want to bother upgrading it without something official. internet explorer hasn't caused me a single issue all day since then. i do find that the available memory has dropped to roughly 50 mb from about 70mb or so before with windows 6.0 and the device can get a little sluggish, but has yet to freeze on me once, which is a very noticeable improvement. thats interesting how the link was taken down and that would be really cool if we all got it in the nick of time. it wouldn't surprise me they pulled it with the touch diamond coming, it would be better to hold off and sell some of those and then launch the upgraded rom..
i can confirm gps works 100% for me. i used it in telus navigator and yes, it does use tower triangulation to assist in finding your location. i tried google maps and for some reason when i select "my location" it says my handset isn't compatible, but if you select use gps from the menu, then everything works 100% and my location shows right where you are and very accurately.
you said there is a program to prime the gps? where is that located? i still have yet to have an issue with it, but just in case. as well, i am unsure about the rev a icon, but it is still EVDO, just "revision A" i believe so i don't think the icon would change much
link is dead, I've uploaded the file to rapidshare.

This Rom Saved My Telus Vogue !!!!!
A huge thank you to Aaron for posting this rom. I had given up on my "bricked" Telus Vogue on Friday and if it hadn't been way too hot Friday to go, I would have already been to the Telus store and bought a replacement. Make a long story short (am a newbie too) something went horribly wrong with the flash I tried. The boot screen still displayed the old version (2.36 i think) but some random boot screen would follow and that as far as the boot got. I tried flashing tonnes of roms but just kept errorring out. I happened to sit at the pc today and noticed a few new posts and 20 min later came across the Telus update by chance. So for a final effort I slapped the HTC onto a USB and gave it a shot. The first try was unsuccessful as windows suddenly recognized the handset as a PPC rather than the mass storage device it had been seeing up till then and jumped to Found New Hardware Wizard. Or at least thats what I think may have interrupted the update. I shut down the update after waiting 20 minutes and simply started it again. It picked up where it left off and now I have my Vogue back even better than it was.
So the reason I went through this long saga is #1 to say thanks and #2 to let anyone that thinks they killed their Telus Vogue............INSTALL THIS ROM TO BRING IT BACK!!!!
JAY
Jay,
Glad that this rom worked for you! Saved you alot of hassle with Telus I'm sure. I am already on my second touch from them as I had a dark spot on my screen show up about 3 months after I got my phone. So far this ones been pretty good and with this new rom even better. I've been reading up on some ways to increas the GPS sensitivity and locking on our phones and will post it in here shortly.
Telus GPS to Bell
I will wait for someone to rip out the portion for the GPS to port it to Bell.
It should work in theory considering they are both the same phone/cdma.
Alright.. Thanks to

the settings should be as follows
Allowed = checked
Assistanc-Spherical = checked
PDE IP Address = 216.198.139.92
PDE Port Number = 8889
PDE Transport = IP
Position Calculation = PDE
This process is a bit.. not tedious or anything but just safty's sale for a good read look at the thread linked below for a guide to getting the QPST program working.. how to get it to connect to your phone etc. Side note.. You have to install the WModem drivers on your computer in order for it to connect properly and you'll need to install the GetSPC program on your phone in order to get the service programming code. That said.. you also need to download the QPST program (obviously). All of which (including the guide) here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=TitanGpsFix
You'll need to run the GetSPC program on your phone. when you open QPST and you add the COM4 port and you open the service programming it should say your ESN HEX at the top put that code into GETSPC (again GETSPC runs on your phone) and then it will generate your SPC..in the service programming click read from phone and enter the SPC it generated for your and it should work. Thats the code you need to get access into the phone via QPST.
Now follow that in order to connect to the program and go pretty much to where you have to put in all that information ghettofreeryder gave us. Make sure you redial the ##3424 code to get out of the settings in your phone.
Then once that's done. Download a1Jatts smartgps cab which will activate the smartgps in the registry of the phone. Do a soft reset and you are good to go. Make sure you put in ALL the right information. I forgot to put in an 8 in the PDE Port Number at first so I had 889 not 8889. I didnt get any quicker locks so checked and put in the right number and worked like a charm. I got locks on 6-7 satellites in my basement with a few seconds.

Wow. That procedure was really frightening. I got it working and it was well worth the hassle. Your addition (missing configurations) was needed for me too. I hope for poor average Telus users that they release a final ROM with this sorted out.
Edit:
Every time, before using this, an already established data connexion is needed BEFORE looking for GPS satellite. The GPS will not establish the connection if it's not there. A simple solution is to open Google map and move the map up to a download is required BEFORE making the GPS satellite connexion.

The wiki procedure have been experimented on many device/carriers.
But I think "PDE IP Address = 216.198.139.92" is carrier specific.
On another forum, a Bell user reported using the Telus leaked ROM with that procedure but with IP=195.207.101.126 and got it working well.
no internet.
i tryed calling that number *22803 after updating rom from telus. still no internet connection. any reason why or what else i can do?
First time i tried with Telus support center, they gote me goiing thrue the french portion of the programing (#2). After that did not work, I did it again in English and it worked perfectly.
So here it is in detailes.
Call *22803 + press 1 + press 1 again. Whait till its done then the phone will reboot.
Call again *22803 + press 1 + press 2. Dont remenber if the phone reboots again....
This should work.
If not, try pulling out your batery fo 15 sec. Then restart your phone.
Thats all the info I have got from telus service.

first of all, write down the esn from the back of your phone!!!
go to settings - connections - manage existing connections.
you shoud see cdma1x #777click edit - next, next again, here you will see user name and password - you username should be your phone number 519#######@1x.telusmobility.com
password should be your esn
leave domain blank and hit finish
Today in the morning i started the day with taking the HD and the opera. Opera was opened by clicking a favourite from TF3D. But after the established UMTS connection opera closed surprisingly very fast and the "settings" menu started self.
"New connections database available, please install"
I affirmed the download, it installed and the HD shuted down without question and needed manually restart. I found no problems after that.
What does it mean? I never experienced such kind on my other HTC or WM devices.
I have not activated the automatic Windows update in settings!!! And also all other update modes in different progs i believe i have set to manually. ???
Yes, same here, except i didnt touch opera. The message came immediately after USB-connecting the HD to my PC. The download failed with a network error, and i still havent been able to complete after >10 tries.
Looks like it comes from 208.188.89.139, which resolves to 208-188-89-139.ded.swbell.net. I dont have a clue who that is and what it means, somebody else maybe?
it's done exactly what it says it has, it has downloaded and installed a new connections database. you know, the one used by the automatic connection setup wizard that triggers after a hard reset. it is desired behaviour and nothing to worry about (unless they've removed your carrier)! ;-)
This could mean the preconfigured profiles for various operators and their packet data (read: internet) connections. It just means the phone knows how to set up the packet data modem settings according the operator. So maybe it wanted to connect some htc database to pick up more recent configurations files? Someone could mail to htc and ask whats going on.
Got the same message right now. It's downloading right now....
update: due to connection error failed to download new database....

Does it mean there is allways an (not indicated) automatic connection check-up wizard in the background running and a permanent update check?
I couldn't believe this. And i don't like it!
It's very suspicious to me if my HD talks with other sources without informing me! This could also be not good for the datarate and battery.
it at least asks before it does anything. There are other companies who handles this much worser (ms, sony, etc.). Those do it without asking the end user lol.
Maybe this is ROM or carrier dependant?
Mine didn't ask or download anything.
i notice it after plugging in the usb to active sync with the computer.
I have ActiveSync running the whole morning, even reconnected the phone a few times.
Won't download anything though, which I don't mind.
Got the same message for 4 times this morning, every time it tried to connect, but it won't download more than 1%. Does anyone what it is trying to download and why?
lol mine keeps failing the download. furthest he got was like 30%
In other words if i update the few Kb on weather or stock application or during a fast email check, the HD checks additionally and secretly for updates? Sounds for me like the Vista automatic update blah. I want to stop that "wizard". If someone hacks that magician and add it to coming ROM updates it's dangerous.
It's not happend to my uncle HD
installing it for the 10th time today
just to get rid of that alert, everytime i say yes to download the update on my HD, and then it says failed.
now it stopped at 8% again
If this a hidden but common process with a today new published update, hundreds of HDs trying to connect now and to download the file. 6h ago i found no download problems. Now all of you other guys in Europe and Egypt are awakened
Yep I too have just recieved that message. At 49% and happily downloading, does help I am on HSDPA at the mo so no issues. I suggest that the people having issues check that they have a good internet connection or get on a wifi network.
Or htc servers are just getting a bit hot
Hehe maybe they should've rolled this out little more carefully.
Mine stopped at 1% through usb cable.
same for me i download it and it soft rest
Just popped up a few times on mine as well - constantly failing.
So basically I've had errors with syncing my phone since I've gotten it. I currently have a Kingston 32GB Class 4 in it, which actually hasn't given me too much trouble (I've tried syncing without the card in and it still had this same issue) where it would start syncing then say the device was no longer responding (it would usually sync about 12 songs then give the error C00D124D). At first I thought this was a bad cable issue, which I believe it was, because I was having troubles upgrading to NoDo for which I bought a new cable (non OEM) and for the update it worked fine, and I'm now running NoDo smoothly. I thought that this cable had fixed my syncing issues as it synced the first ~1300 songs out of 5700 without any hitch. However, it hit a wall after that giving me the C00D124D error again. I've tried reformatting and hard resetting etc and it didn't work. It is now back to going through the 12 songs then stopping mode. However, what I found interesting is that those 1300 songs were about 7.5GB, a number eerily similar to the internal memory (Zune says there's 2.79 of reserved space though). Anyone have this same issue and care to help out?
EDIT: So after another reformat I left it to sync overnight.... No dice still. I even tried restoring the OS to pre-NoDo and that didn't even work... I think NoDo just royally crapped up my memory card... Currently I'm reinstalling NoDo and I'm going to try to do a double reformat, and cross my fingers... If it doesn't, then Microsoft Support will be getting a call later today...... Here's hoping.
RE: Update
So after restoring it to the point my phone was at before I did the whole NoDo update silliness I can now say my phone is back to a working state. It has so far synced about 60 songs at a constant pace and doesn't seem to have an issue, solidifying my original diagnosis of a bad cable for initial syncing. However, all of this stuff leads me to believe that NoDo caused some instability in the MicroSD card that caused it to flip out. That being said, I will try updating to NoDo once my other 4000+ songs have finished syncing... I'll keep you all posted, just in case someone was having these same issues....
well my trancsend card was the sme way. It worked before nodo, just unstable. Now that error comes up and tells me to take the card out. MS put in something in nodo that prevents the cards from working if they do not have the random write speeds needed.
You will very happy if you buy a sandisk card (class 4 ) the 16gb and 8 works flawlessly. (both class 4)
same thing with me class 4 Sandisk 32gb phone is stable just wont let me sync i'm about 10gb full, i am going to see if syncing over wifi works to get my songs on.
Same dealio here ... can drag over less than a single album's worth of songs and get the C00D124D error. Unplug, plug back in, and drag over a few more. Sadly, this isn't an acceptable way to move music around so I guess I won't be using my Focus for a media player!

Thanks for the tip. I have tried unsuccessfully to set up the wireless sync in the past and haven't tried in quite a while now. I try setting that up and, if successful, do that.
I usually only add and delete a few things at a time. But since the upgrade to Nodo, I had to hard reset my phone as it wouldn't update. So I'm in the process of just adding back some music I had on the phone in the first place.
take a look at this link. It seems a solution was found:

That didn't help at all. I followed the instructions and the connection lasted just a few minutes ... same as before.
I have previously set up a wireless syn connection and that doesn't actually connect very often. How does the wireless sync actually launch? Is it automatic? I it sporadic? Mine has only launched a couple of times since I have set it up initially, so it's obviously sporadic.
Any other suggestions?

It should be connected to a powerline for at least 10 minutes before sync starts. nevertheless you can start it manually, i found that you should make sure your computer is on and that you're logged in to your Windows user account. On your Zune player, select Settings, Wireless, Sync,Sync with PC. Your Zune player displays the status of the sync process, including: Looking for network, Connecting to network, Connecting to PC, Preparing to sync, Syncing, Sync complete

Thanks for the tip, but this is for the Samsung Focus WP7, not a Zune Player. The Zune software on the phoe is not the same. There is no 'Wireless' option once you launch Zune.
I have not seen a way to force a wireless sync on the WP7 Zune software. Please let me know if I'm incorrect.
Same problem, have a work around sort of
I have the same problem, but mine started after the NODO update. My only workaround is that as long as the phone is awake, it will continue to sync. So, I put the lock on 5 min and just touch it every now and then while it is syncing. The syncing is still slow, but it does get done. If I let it fall asleep, it will give me the error code within a minute. I am going to try the certificate thing and see if it helps mine.
My phone is now updating to 7720 from 7712 (Beta). Plugged my phone in again this morning and then went to the update tab in Zune. Will let you know how it goes

fantastic to see dell users getting the update...
now if only there was a way to unlock em...
Strange. I went to see if I could tether and I was able to install the USB modem drivers but I can't get it to dial. Interesting though since beta didn't even give me the option to install those...hell it wouldnt even charge in composite mode.
If anyone gets theirs to dial, tell me.
Microsoft provided info on the timing of the phased rollout:
http://windowsteamblog.com/windows_...27/windows-phone-7-5-mango-update-begins.aspx
Basically 10% this week, 25% next. If all goes well everyone should have it within the next 4 weeks.
update done
no difference on system itself.
just updated my unlocked DVP using the article from WP7Central

Currently down but here is the URL http://www.wpcentral.com/force-mango-update-early-through-zune-software
It seems the old “disconnect the internet“ trick from the NoDo days also works for forcing Zune to deliver the Mango update to your phone.
The step by step instructions are:
Connect your Windows Phone to a PC and launch the Zune software
Click on Settings/Update. Allow the software to tell you whether an update is available. If so, skip this guide. If not continue to the next step.
Click the check for update button again, and this time immediately disconnect your computer from the internet. Do this by pulling the Ethernet cable, disabling Wi-Fi, etc.
Wait 30 seconds or so and you should receive a notification that an update is available.
Now reconnect to the internet and continue with the update process through the Zune software.
Seems simple enough. Let us know if it works for you.

Did anyone actually get a notification on their phone or just after connecting to Zune? Dont think there was one for Nodo either but want to confirm.

Just hooked up my rtm version of mango dvp to my computer and checked for update and it says there is a dell update!
updating now.
Plz tell us how it goes... I have RTM ver as well..do I need to roll back to NoDO before the Mango update???
Sent from my Venue Pro using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
got an update yesterday from dell...was running the rtm version of mango...its working fine...and also read a tweet from microsoft saying that no need to revert to nodo for the update.....you wil still get the update...
Hey nutnithin, I'm planning to buy a Dell Venue Pro in India (possibly from Flipkart). After getting one, what are the steps I should take to upgrade to Mango?
What can this error code C101007c be, when I am updating my DVP to 7720?
I found I cannot boot it up when the update is finished, what can it be?
Can anyone tell me what are the update contents? (7403, 7720 and firmware update?)

According to the Microsoft troubleshooting document:
"C1010007 Make sure that you are using the USB cable which was included with your phone.
Try to reconnect your phone to another USB port on your computer. Do not use a USB hub or ports on the front of your computer."
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2484484
Update contains OS update (mango) and firmware update (219).
The latest Zune software said I had an update yesterday. I let it remove the RTM version of 7720, install the "latest", and I hoped I finally had the Dell version on my unlocked, but AT&T version of the DVP.
But when I look under wireless networks, I still can't connect to hidden SSID networks. The option simply isn't there. Does anyone have that functionality after their update?
I should mention that when I ran the update, my sim was still in my Motorola Atrix. I did the update connected to my wireless network on the phone, and with the USB cord attached to my primary PC... an ASUS G73 laptop.
I updated late last night, but finding out this morning that I have no audio. I cannot listen to music, hear ring tones etc. Audio IS turned on. Could this have been a bad update? Should I reset and try again? I fell asleep last night while it was updating so something could have happened during that time.

Try plugging in some earphones. Check if you can hear anything. Then unplug the earphones and try again through the speaker.

I also thought of having a faulty cable. The phone turned off by itself when I touched it.
However I remembered that I have flashed the firmware 2.0 on the touch panel some time ago, that may cause the problem. After that I rolled back the update and flashed back the firmware to 1.6, the update was then successful.
Anyway, many thanks.

Same as yours, I have an unbranded EU one.
I think it does not depend on which computer you have connected to during the update.
Just updated mine, says software version 7.10 (7720)

Strangely, I got intermittent sound without doing anything. Then it went away again. I pulled the battery and restarted and I can hear the audio. I will continue to monitor.

I tried that but nada. When I do plug in my headphones I hear the audio playing. It must be the speaker. Anything I could do short of sending for a replacement?
