What is the Premier program? Are there any pending changes for Sero Premium?

In the letter they state they are still doing unlimited data come dec 2012.. I saw in some other thread that sprint unlimited is going away..

Premier program allows full discount upgrade every 12 months, now its going to be every 20 months.

they clearly state they continuing the unlimited data but getting rid of the premier package but you will receive the new to you upgrade. what's the big deal? If you want to be a customer of mine, I will be in your top three annual expenses and give you 17-30% rate increase every year.

Careful, certain "experts" in the matter and armchair CEOs might start telling you how you are so ignorant and don't know how to run a business.

well, gotta be fair, the $200 is with a 2 years contract, this is no contract, but i think they should sell it close to retail, $600 plus $100 for the phone hasn't released yet.

Milestone Officially Announced for Cellular South

Not my next phone... also not a game changer...
But here it is. The Milestone
If it had a SnapDragon, I'd totally go to CS, they've got great coverage in my area.

See Droid Shadow (also known as Droid Extreme though there is debate about that)
Yeah, I love HTC though. I'll probably never leave them or XDA.

Out with the right one then.
I'm looking for a snapdragon also.. won't move from the Hero until then! They say that this is the first of many... so hopefully the next one will be the Shadow.... or Desire... Incredible... etc.
Hints from some CS reps point towards the Desire to come out soon after the Milestone...

And the best part is, Android is at or above the market share the iPhone had in it's first year of release. And it's outsold the iPhone for the past two quarters. It's impossible to compete with a multi-phone platform

Alcatel-Lucent LightRadio (Sprint's New Move)

So a CNN new report says that a Sprint Spokes Woman indicated that Sprint is looking to expand their network using this Technology.
"Sprint is talking to Alcatel Lucent about this technology and we will be working with them to test and evaluate it," a Sprint spokeswoman said. "We have been aggressive in smaller factor cell sites to help us support the growth in data traffic."
Full Article http://money.cnn.com/2011/03/21/technology/light_radio/index.htm
This seems like a very solid move for Sprint if all works out with this new technology, Cheaper to operate, faster data transmissions, and better signal all round.
Sprints all mixed up Hesses not sleeping well due to the merger news yesterday
Lucent was always forward thinking as a company when they were Bell Labs. Somehow, it's not surprising to me that this idea is coming from Alcatel Lucent's shop.
And that Sprint is thinking about using these devices shows one, that they know they need to upgrade their 'net, and two, they expect to offer unlimited data into the foreseeable future, especially if these towers-in-a-box prove as deployable as they appear.
Good move, Sprint!!

Best analysis I've heard yet.
Sprint is all over the place with news and speculation. I love it!
I'm actually very nervous about the ATT-T-Mobile move. If this move goes down, Sprint is guaranteed to remain the smallest of the major service providers. If this happens, does Sprint lose their wind, or does this kick them in the pants?

Anybody notice that Box resembles the one in 'HellRaiser' ?
Dan better be careful lol
I dont know this has failure written all over it.
If they would just slap a few of these on the towers their problems would be solved

its a security feature within android. you are texting too much within 15 minutes.
as a workaround, flash a custom rom such as cm10.1 jellybro

Is this sarcasm? It's a security feature like I said. It's to prevent charges by your carrier. It's definitely possibly to go above 30 SMS limit within 15 minutes.
For example, let's say you had a rogue app. And the rogue app keeps sending text messages, if it sends more than a limit (greater than 30 in 15 minutes) that pops up and asks you whether or not you want to keep allowing it to go further. If you had X number of text messages per month (not unlimited), well... you're in trouble but good guy android is here to protect you
A workaround is what I said above.
Thank you i understand... First time i ever saw that... A little annoying too...

You can always do the workaround it's there to protect you incase if u had a rogue app who wants to keep sending spam SMS when you dont know its happening. Could definitely cost you a lot of fees, especially if it was international texts

Coincidence: I preorder my 6P today, and I'm invited to project fi..

What do you guys think about fi?
Clearly, the Android gods are calling you to feast with them in the glorious halls of Techalla.

Within 12 hours of my preorder on Sept 29th I received an email from Fi saying I had been accepted. I had been waiting for at least 2 months. Waiting till the phone arrives to port my AT&T number over. Little scared to shed the very reliable and wide spread AT&T service for a T-Mo/Sprint hybrid. Last time I had either of those services (2011?) they were pretty horrible. Hoping time has remedied some of their previous problems.

Thinking of trying to see how much open wifi there actually is. $10 per gb isn't ideal for me especially since I'm on a family plan but I like the idea of having my number in hangouts accessible on all devices
