I cant install the new FB update on my DZ with Cyanogen 1.7. I get the message "This item is not compatible with your device. "
I tried resetting my pixel density to stock and checked my build.prop against a stock one. I cant see anything wrongt.
In the mean time I found an apk on google so I can sideload it, but still... weird. Will other apps start disallowing the Z soon?
Never heard of cyanogen 1.7 before

Its a bug with cm7. Reset your density, then clear market data, then do a full reboot. should work

I assume you mean "Reset your Desire Z" ... otherwise you have powers/tech/knowledge that I don't think even the smartest/richest people on earth have access to.
Your an extraterrestrial aren't you?
Thanks Jeff, that solved the issue. Now I have 22 apps to update, up from 4

Every thing works except when I click on the people icon. This is the error I get:
Fbook error:
The application Facebook
(process com.facebook.katana)
Has stopped unexpectedly
Does anyone have any idea why? On my other DInc it works fine.
Adam
Hmm I have no idea. Mine seems to be working fine.
On a lighter note, how badass is it that they used "katana" in the process name?
I have the same problem. I reported my dinc and still fc's.
What do you mean "you reported you Droid incredible and still fc's." That does not make sense.

just a shot in the dark here, he may have meant rebooted.
could you both please give us more information?
are either of you running a modified rom? if so what version (the rom name and the base AndroidOS version (2.1 or 2.2)
also please let us know if you have updated your radio in any way, or have applied any "fixes" to resolve other issues
Radio is 1.00.03.04.06
Firmware 2.1- update 1
All I have done is use unrevoked to root and then did a nandroid backup.

Did you try reinstalling the application?
Yes I have reinstalled the update many times.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
My DInc does this also when I try to open the friends list. Force close and restarts the app. Uninstalled the update and using the old one again.
I have a Droid Bionic and I keep getting this same error. I've done everything from re-installs to hard reset. Still nothing will fix it. One strange thing is my wife's login works. WTH?
Mine works, did ya'll try removing the account from the accounts list? If you are running Sense I'd remove that account too just for good measure.
After that I'd DL the app from the market, sync the contacts and see if it works. If it does then I'd go ahead and add Facebook for Sense last
I had two updatede apps today. They downloaded fine but won't install. Don't know if it's a Market issue or something with my device. Any ideas?

Ok. New apps will download and install but still have the issue with updating apps.
Sent from my rooted DROID2 using XDA App
Usually an uninstall and then reinstall fixes apps that don't update.
Sent from my DROID2 using XDA App
Tried that. Also cleared Market cache and data. Done several reboots.

Read in another thread that it could be an issue with Google servers. Has anyone heard anything?

It is a google problem, the same thing is happening on the hero Just wait for them to fix is probably the only thing we can do right now
Same thing has been happening to me. I have just been clicking the update and then immediately clicking on the name of the app I just downloaded and watching the download and install meter and it works for me everytime.

The issue was with apps on the memory card. Had to move them to phone memory, update, then move them back to the card. Annoying.

Moving apps back and forth isn't working today for updates.

Possible, maybe why they're having market issues
Not sure it's the Market now. Since I couldn't get Angry Birds to updated I tried getting it at GetJar. That wouldn't install either.
Sent from my rooted DROID2 using XDA App
Ok. Completely lost. ROM Manager successfully updated but Angry Birds still won't.

I'm having almost the same issues. It started yesterday when I accidentally unistalled the wrong app. When I went on to market to re-download it and found it sat in the ongoing downloads going nowhere along with several others. I cancelled them and started them again one by one. They all downloaded and then failed to install. After that they all appeared in the downloads list but say "FREE" next to them instead of "Installed".
I know that, apart form the first app, all of them are definitely installed. Rebooting the phone made no difference. I also removed the memory card to see if that helped. At that point I managed to install the first app.
I put the SD card back in and the problem returned. Most of the apps I have installed on the SD card only appear in my downloads list intermitently, and I still can't install or update anything from the market with the SD card in the phone. I also am having issues re-installing backups and non-market apk's.
Have I done anything to the phone to make it do this or is this a Google issue? I'm using a rooted T-Mobile UK desire on stock 2.2 with ModInstallLocation set to external.
Thanks for any help or advice.
I also get Free instead of Installed.

It's still the server issues, until Anroid 2.3 is out this will probably be a problem
I hope I don't have to wait for 2.3 given how long it takes Verizon to release an update.

I have a bigish problem. So I had the HTC desire rom for my nexus one. I then signed in the market. It says that I have a NYC desire. I then flash back stock and cm 6.1.1 but it is still saying I am a HTC desire. How to fix?

the site gets device information from when you run the market on your phone, and custom roms show - and - for make and model... it probably has your phone info cached... so either it will soon change to -... or it will stay on HTC desire... solution would be to move to a stock- ish rom... im using GEO's FRF3D rom and it recognizes me corrently

So I guess it'll sync with the last synced rom.

Just one question, I'm on cm 6.1.1. How do I delete my Google account on it and put it back? I no u could do a factory reset but I dont want to lose anything.
I just want this rom be the last synced rom so it'll work on d web market

Loll sorry bout all d replies

Let me see if I understand what you're trying to do: you want to sign in to Market again, without deleting anything?
In that case, go to "Settings/Applications/Manage Applications", find Market, clear its data, run it - it'll ask you permissions to sign in.
Of, if you're actually looking to remove the account for whatever reason:
Settings --> Accounts & Sync --> Your Google Account --> Remove Account.

It wont let me. It says that for me to do that I have to do a factory reset. But I don't want to do that, cause ill lost everything
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
In that case.... why exactly do you want to delete your account? Have you tried clearing the Market data like Jack_R1 suggested? I'm terribly confused.
Nevermind...to make it work I just clear market data

I lost my phone. I tried installing Plan B but haven't gotten a response just yet. Does anyone know if WaveSecure will install remotely? Also, I noticed a feature in the GPS settings that says locate phone when lost or something to that effect. I have ICS beta 7.0 installed fyi. How would I go about using the service?
I installed avast for android root and that **** i tested it and is the **** using my sisters iphone found it asap with sms i like that one it installs on the system root

I know you can find the device with latitude. I don't know how though. You will have to Google that. That's the reason I have where's my Droid app installed. It already saved me twice. One of the best apps ever.
I recently reinstated my Facebook and the app was still in my phone, for I had used it plenty before, but when I went to log in after reactivating my account after a few months, it didn't work. I deleted the app and proceeded to the market to reinstall, but now it says my device is incompatible. Also, premium XDa forum app is also "incompatible". I have been playing around with build.prop tweaks but nothing really major, but I cannot figure out how to fix this.

This is the problem. Either restore the original build.prop or install the unlocked Market app will solve it.
I installed market unlocker and tried all of the English market s and a German one to download a few apps that cone up incompatible (Facebook, ROM toolbox, app brain market) but it still continued. I have already tried resetting LCD density, but a seeing reset if there is one for ROM toolbox.
