R800X Framework-res.apk SystemUI.apk - Xperia Play General

Hey i was wondering if someone here with a 2.3.3 R800x can be a lifesaver and share with me their systemUI.apk and Framework-res.apk files.
They were recently changed in this version and me being the dope i am didn't create backups of them and went on to create a UOT Kitchen theme with the old ones.
It would be awesome if someone with root can posts the new ones please.
Actually the only thing i can do since im stuck in boot loop is access clockwork recovery via fastboot, so if anyone can post a working recovery zip for the 2.3.3 (since i didn't even make one of those) that would be the best solution. Thank you in advanced.

nvm mills 2.3.3 system image saved me

Can't locate update zip in newset rom

Hello everyone , im new to the forum, but have been lurking for several weeks now. I Have an HTC Dream from Rogers Canada and i'm currently in the process of rooting it. Now the only snag i have hit is with the latest Cyanogen Mod 4.0.2, not that it is not working but a simple fact that i can't locate the update.zip. Now before you laugh at me (its ok you can) , do i have to rename the original name to update.zip or is there an actual UPDATE.zip included in the file? thanks in advance for your help.
You rename the file to UPDATE.zip
rename the file to update.zip, make sure you put it in the root folder also!!
If you have the newest recovery then you won't have to rename it to update.

thanks, i have the Rogers root for the canadian Dream. ill dig around more thank you for all your replies
Despite the fact that you have a rooted Rogers Dream, you can flash Cyanogen's Recovery v1.4. One of the features of this recovery is that you don't have to rename any of the files to update.zip anymore... it will pull a list of all zip files on the root of your sdcard, and you can flash as is.

Request for boot animation

A friend of mine with a Droid 1 is running a rom called project elite. He showed me a boot animation that's part of the rom that started with an Apple logo, then it zoomed out and had the android robot eating it. Was brilliant.
Anyone know where I can get it or how I can get this on my Fascinate?
Download the ROM, extract the bootanimation.zip file from it (look in system/media) and put it in the /system/media folder on your phone. If you post the zip here, I'm sure someone could make a CWM zip for you to make it easier to put on your phone. Also, if there is a sound with it, look for that as well, system/etc/PowerOn.wav if it's in the same place that our boot sound is at.
Thanks! I'll see if I can get the zip from him. The rom has the setting built in to choose what boot animation you wanna use, and there were like seven included with it. Would that make it harder to extract the one I want? I assume there would be multiple ones packaged in there

I want that animation! In answer to your question it should not pose to be more difficult, but it may add for some good extra animations.
i used to beta for project elite ...let me know if you cant get out of the rom ...ill get them directly from the dev
edit: get the cwm version below
Here's a CWM zip for it. Only change is that I removed the Thumbs.db file from the zip let me know if it doesn't work.
You're awesome, imnuts. Was going get on this today, but you beat me to it and then some.
The zip worked fine and the boot animation is great, by the way. Thanks again
this rocks! thanks
I downloaded zip then what do you do? I clicked on it and nothing happened..

install with CWR.
Does the zip file need to be on the root of the sd card ?
Tried to install from Clockwork Recovery
Used "install zip from sdcard" and navigated to the zip file
Install shows complete but it is still the same old boot animation.
Running DB-DO froyo and have updated CWM
Thanks for any help
I absolutely love this boot animation, thanks!
so after digging around a few different places it looks like the EB01 kernel doesn't support the boot and shutdown animations. waiting on release of source code so we can have a custom kernel ?
zipgunjny:
Are you running the stock eb01? JT has a "hack" that he used to enable the boot animations for the custom roms. Follow imnuts instructions on where the bootanimation.zip is located.
Its the debloated-deodexed eb01. Searched for jt's hack without any luck. Any hints on finding it? Thanks again for the help. Tired of the verizon boot and shutdown animations

Finally got it. Flashed the super clean 2.6 kernel and viola, the custom boot animation is working. Now to replace the shutdown animation. Thanks for the help.

I tried to flash the zip with CWM but got this error
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed
Installation aborted
Any ideas or suggestions? I'm new to this stuff. I'm rooted with 2.1 firm and 2.6.29 kernel. Haven't really modded much except for moving some bloat apps to my SD card
this is awesome! thank you.
-now kind of off topic, but will this work on the SGS Captivate as well, or should I have one of the dev's in their forum answer that for me?

Root your phone.
Download the recovery.img you want.
Save it wherever you want at your phone.
Download any root file manager (ex Root Explorer), which can mount and show hidden folders.
Mount ./cust_backup as rw.
Copy and replace recovery.img from SD card to /.cust_backup/image/recovery.img
Done!
Cheers

sorry my friend. I don't understand what your problem is. Have you copied the recovery.img file at the correct folder? Did you boot at recovery ok? what are you trying ro flash?
i had a similar issue - the rom manager installed the CWM but when i booted to it, it was the default one.
So:
1. Delete/rename the recovery.img
2. Then paste new one (for some reason it didnt overwrite it).
3. Just use rom manager to boot into recovery or use the vol + and power button option.
Now in the recovery use the install from sdcard option.
The reason ur not getting the flash/mass storage drive on purple screen is cuz ur bootloader is locked (i assume official gingerbread is installed?)
Hey there, correct i have oficial gingabread, and i want to put a Custom ROM on it ....
And now i accidently deleted the recovery.img and cant paste the recovery that i have on my SD Card to the flash via ROOT Explorer
Now what can i do :'(
cuz the Custom ROM that i want to put is the Elite ROM v10 that is for 2.3 if iam not mistake
Can someone help me out plz

Just reapply official rom. If possible use beta 1 or 2. Keeps bootloader unlocked.

FINNAAALLYYYYY !!! THANK GOD BETAAA !! thanks m8 i putted a thanks on you
You can apply latest official ROM also and then unlock your bootloader like described here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21659629
You can use the manual method
Then you can plug your phone to your pc at pink screen and paste any recovery version you want inside the image folder.

Set Dpi to 160, now phone wont boot!

So i got curious as to what 160 DPI would look like and now the phone is stuck on the boot image. Could someone be so kind and upload a flashable zip of the build.prop for initial 4.1.2 release?
Unless theres a way to edit build.prop somehow from cwm??

Have you backup of original build.prop?
If you have it you can install trwp and replace file build.prop on system
You also can use aroma FM for CWM, but I didnt try it

So a bit of an update. Nano refuses to install, it always gives me an installation aborted even though i followed the instructions on the thread. I managed to copy across build.prop from an old backup i had (still the same base rom) and overwrote the corrupted one and sadly this didint work. My guess is LCD Density modder did something else the rom didint like.
Im currently loading my old twrp backup onto the phone to work from there. Ive lost a few things but this is just too much of a hassle. Thanks for the assistance St.Noigel.

stuck in bootloop after change bootanimation! can recovry fix it?

where can i delete the faulty file through file manager in twrp? i dont wanna flash a bunch of images or anything can someone PLZ tell me an easier way to get rid of the bootanimation?
can i flash any flashable zip bootanimation? would that replace the current one n fix it?
Did you make a backup of the original bootanimation? If so use Terminal in TWRP to restore it, or try using adb shell command to fix it. That happened to me once on an older phone and that's how I fixed it.
i have a working bootanimation.zip file on my PC, i can flash it via adb?
and no i did not make a backup

You can try adb push bootanimation.zip > /system/media/bootanimation.zip
I'm using benzo and i think my permissions are wrong maybe, is it 644 or 755? I want the marvel theme of changing superheroes but i just can't get it to work why does a bootanimation get stuck? Is it the numbering of the images?

You can try fixing the permissions via TWRP recovery.
Another thing that might help, is to dirty flash the ROM again, over the current installation, without wiping anything.

Next time, please only post your question in one place, double posting isn't allowed.
Can't he just remove the boot animation and not transfer one over? I believe the phone will boot but a stock "Android" letter boot animation will load and then the phone will boot where he can install a new boot animation (or maybe put back the old boot animation)
