2.3.4 update - Xperia Play General

Just updated to the new firmware, and all seems to be okay. Except for the fact that the xloud feature seems to be busted. Anyone having the same experience?

Also, XLoud is still in the Rom, and Screenshots are now done natively via a long hold on the power button, works really well. Has a nice animation to it (kinda like the iphone), also new screen on AND off animations, they're not the usual ones, but they're nice

I've already done that, what happens is that when my xloud is deactivated when i activate it the initial feedback is that it lowers the sound then back to the original loudness when not active.

Xloud is great but in 2.3.4 firmware is more low volume, respect on 2.3.3 when volume is more highest ......i think the problem is in original kernel and modificated maybe changing it will solve doomlord
what do you think?

Vibrate is limited by the hardware in the phone.
For audio you can try dspmanager from market. Theres a thread in themes and apps section.

The feature is in CyanogenMod
There is brightness rocker which makes slider appear when you press volume up down for ringer and/or media volume. i set it up for ringer volume only as it tends to pause playback when set up with the media volume. Hope it helps.

All silent widget?

I need a widget which is capable of:
Makes everything silent just in one touch
Turns settings back to previous after touching it again
because when I'm in classes I'm really afraid sometimes that some music might play, or some game might turn on and it'll give sound and that has happened
So if somebody could help me out here it'll be great or if a developer sees this, then i hope i gave him/her a good idea
Wrong section for question

[MOD]How To Use DSP MANAGER in Other Players and improve Sound Quality IN CM* Roms

As U All Know That Our S2(GT-I9100)Sound Quality is Not that much good As Other Devices HAve
We have Working DSPmanager In Both CM9/CM10 Roms But IF We Enable Bass Boost and Increase A Volume Little Bit The Sound Starts Distorting(I dontknow Word For it)
So Here Is My Settings And Apps To get Better SOund IN CM10/Cm9 Roms
I Like CM10 Rom More IN Terms Of Its SOund Quality
What U Need Is
1.Cm10/Cm9 Rom
2.Siyah 4.1.x + Kernel Link
3.Jetaudio app Link
4.Poweramp App Link
5.xxtweaker App by Fluxi Link
6.A Good Pair Of Earphones
After Installation Of All Above Things Do SAme AS I say
1.Open Jetaudio Play Any Song
Minimize it
2. Open Dsp manager And Setup BassBoost And Equalizer
Now U Will Here Dspmanager Bass And Eq Difference
3.Open Power Amp Go To Its Settings->Advance Audio Settings
Untick Direct Volume Control
4.Now Manage Its Equalizer (You Can Set According To You)
Play Any SOng Now DSPMANAGER WILL WORK WITH POWERAMP ALSO:angel::angel:
Now Open xxtweaker App i know Its Not Supported By SIyah Kernel just Open It
Cancel The Prompt
Goto Sound and Vibration Then Sound Settings
And Increment The Values AS Shown Above You can increment according to u also but dont change too much in Digital audio values
AFTER ALL THESE THINGS U WILL GET BETTER SOUND QUALITY WITH DSPMANAGER IN HIGH VOLUMES ALSO
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Is it okay to use Apollo? or do i have to be Jetaudio to have all those awesome config?
cheers
awesome config btw, loving the beats :good:
Really, really helpful! Thanks heaps, bro! This entire article is extremely effective for improving your sound quality, especially the part with xxTweaker. Here is a custom EQ preset made by me for pumping out the maximum possible bass without sacrificing mids and lows:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1709896
BTW, I've changed my headphones since that thread. I own Sennheiser PX100-IIs now, and I don't think I could find a pair better than these for the S II.

I know we are talking about audio quality here, but I must say, the theme you are using is amazing
May I ask what you are using for that?
Know any equalizer/player able to set mono sound?
[no poweramp, didn't like it.]

Jelly Bean Audio Problem

Bear with me, I'm not the greatest explainer in the world.
Anyway, I'm using the CLASSCY JB ROM, and the audio bug after a call seemed to be fixed. I noticed that the audio was only routed back to the speakers when I pressed OK to the operator pop-up message, telling me my balance etc, or when the phone app was stopped or started again.
So what I did was flash a JB ROM (aokp r4) that I knew had the bug, with the kernel from the CLASSCY ROM to see what would happen if I closed the phone app manually. I didn't need to try though as the same thing happened.
I'm no dev, but it's either a kernel thing and/or the phone app isn't switching back after calls
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
JB roms has got a prob with audio.
Since AOKP is based on CM9.
It was already fixed so its a kernel prob.

The hell are you talking about? I think what the op was trying to say is that the audio problem is kernel related because when he used the Classcy kernel instead of the included kernel in the jellybean based aokp, the problem was fixed.

Yeah, i also tried and it rotate correctly; btw, if someone can control, IMHO the classcy kernel is the same of fxp (141?) because the animation is the same, so maybe the true fixer is the fxp kernel (now i am at the university so i can't verify this idea)

im pretty sure it isn't but is obviously based on fxp141 perhaps?
How come it worked for you guys on aokp with that kernel but for me audio bug still appears?
The problem isn't completely fixed, today I do other test, and now often the audio rotate correctly, sometimes not
Have you tried closing the phone app? That was the reason I flashed AOKP, to see if that was the problem. I only kept the CLASSCY kernel (FXP?) because I couldn't be bothered to turn on my PC and change kernels.
What I did was play music, make a call (without stopping the music) and I noticed the music played through the ear piece (not during a call) until I pressed OK to the operator pop up you get after outgoing calls. Incoming calls might not trigger the switch. Dunno.

No, I only tried to receive some call, and 3/4 times the audio rotate correctly, in the only wrong case I switch to mute and reactivate the audio; thanks for the advice btw
