GT-I9020a - Nexus S General

Hi all,
I was looking to get an at&t nexus s. I went to see if I could buy one on Best Buy's website and the model listed under AT&T was the I9020t. I also went to ebay and all of the models under "AT&T" auctions listed "HSDPA 900/1700/2100" which is tmobiles 3G bands if I'm correct. Did best buy only stock the version with at&t hardware for a very short time? Can anyone enlighten me here?

The model you need is the i9020a. The website is probably wrong. They have been selling them for free on contract so they could be out of stock? Calk your local store.

Odd I've been looking into it and I can't find anywhere that is a known 3rd party retailer that has it. Perhaps best buy's site is wrong and they do have the I9020a, have you tried calling your local store?

I have not, I just saw it on the website and was curious. Figured I'd just ask you guys since most of you are more knowledgeable than most best buy employees

Retailers in the US?

Hi,
Is there any news about when/if the Adam will show up at a retailer in the US?
Thanks.
I think this is going to be an online product only.

Notion Ink has said numerous times they are working with retailers already to get the adam sold elsewhere, not just on their website. As far as being sold in a brick and mortar, not sure about that but somewhere like amazon would be great.
I think online only is OK.
As long as the online retailers have a decent return policy.
I am very interested in getting one. But NI's return policy is not the best.
there was someone from Best Buy in one of the videos from CES, and with best buy having such a global presence, (It does just under different names in different countries.) I wouldn't be surprised if they started to sell the adam.

Cheapest place to buy atrix 4G

Hi There!
We are in Hawaii on Holiday for 7 days. Does anyone know where I can get an atrix off contract/unlocked cheapest in HI?
Hello,
All Atrix sold retail should be locked to AT&T only. You will need unlock service from 3rd party.
Ask that guy on the beach selling pineapple.

I tried but he had sold out. Any chance anyone knows of a way to get it cheaper than the $599 + tax that ATT seems to have it for? I tried Radio Shack and they had the same rrp.

no, that's why it's the MSRP off-contract.
I bought it from att store without commitment for$ 499.99

square: Where when and how? Was it $599 and you negotiated or you had some voucher or something?
All AT&T stores should sale it for $499.99+ tax. Maybe Hawaii is more expensive like everything else there, but if u travel to any other state besides PR, it should only be $499.
yea, most places aare going to have 599; call ATT and check prices at a the stores and go online as well; I remember seeing 499 somewhere here in the states but 599 at ATT and everywhere else.

I also see a price for 499 at www.att.com for full price. And hope that they sell it to me for that price. Someone told me that he bought it from bestbuy and put the price 499 at at&t and they reduced the price from 599 to 499$.
Any thoughts.... is this correct.
Can anyone buy the Atrix off-contract at an AT&T shop ? Or do I have to show proof of residence in the US or I must have an existing contract ?
It seems the simlock issue can be dealt with, right ?
i got my epic for 69.99 at best buy with a pricematch error
I bought mine today at Fry's Electronics for $439+tax.
I had Best Buy match Costco's $129 on contract price. If their subsidized cost is that cheap I would bet the full price is a bit less than MSRP.
Paid 119 at best buy today

[Q] 3G release date?

I read in a CES article that the 3G/4G version of the NOTE would be available later this month but they did not specify what country. Sorry if this question has been answered on here, but, I looked and couldn't find it. I live in California.
Thanks,

I was in a Verizon store today and I asked him about the release date and he put his hands up with an "It's not officially announced yet, but, very very close." He thought it would be about 649.99 for the 32 gig version.
Ive had it for over a week here in the uk. Got on contract with EE. Might flog it for a ridiculous amount lol.

[Q] Unbranded S4 in London - Where to buy?

Hi Folks,
where can i find in retail shop (not online - will be there like for 1 day) in london, a galaxy S4 which is completely carrier/operator unbranded and simfree?
i got it there is a samsung store, but are there any other place but samsung official store?
Thanks
The Samsung stores in Westfield don't sell phones, just demo them.
Carphonewarehouse or Phones4u sell sim free, unbranded, unlocked handsets.
Assuming your a tourist, there are loads of those stores about in London but google the locations near where you will be.
I bought mine from phones4u in the first week of release in London and seemed to have decent stock so shouldn't be an issue now a all.
For info, these stores have branches in the Westfield center too if that's where your going.

Thanks! - is it also possible to buy the i9500 (the international octa core non-LTE model) in these stores as well or is it only 9505 ?
thanks.
Not aware of any of them selling the i9500. It was not officially released in UK. People got them from market sellers on Amazon UK or eBay, not official outlets.
Some retailers have duty free branches in UK airports who allow you to check stock and reserve a handset, something to consider also.

Nexus 6 $550 at Best Buy

Edit: I posted the below deal this morning but it was pointed out in the replies that an even steeper Nexus 6 discount was announced today (see Phandroid link below). The 32 GB Nexus 6 is now available for $500 from Best Buy and also the Google Store (64 GB for $550).
I wish to highlight a Nexus 6 deal which I could not find listed anywhere else on XDA Dev or by Google search. The unlocked Nexus 6 is available for $550 at Best Buy. To obtain it at this price, one simply needs to ask in store for the unlocked Nexus 6 and then ask for a price match against T-mobile's online store, where the phone is currently on sale for $549.84. I also called Best Buy customer service and was informed by a representative that this price match should apply in all stores and to any purchases made from the Best Buy online store.
I can confirm this approach can work, since I was able to obtain a Nexus 6 for $549.84 in store from a Best Buy store this last weekend. However, I also found a Best Buy forum post where it was claimed that the price match was initially not honored (unfortunately I cannot include the link since I am a new member). Therefore, the ease of this approach may vary according to the representative one encounters.
As an additional note, T-mobile starter kits, which include a nano SIM, are currently on sale at Best Buy for $5. Thus one can set up an unlocked Nexus 6 on T mobile for ~$555 plus tax.
I apologize if I posted this thread in the wrong place or duplicated a pre existing thread. I will monitor the thread and delete/repost if necessary.
Is there any advantage (Other than the price right now) to buying the unlocked version -vs- the carrier specific one?

The ATT and Verizon are locked to their respective carrier. However once you have them paid off for the device you can get it unloved to work on other carriers.
The hard was is all the same.

Thanks. I'm thinking of getting one but I currently have the Note 3 on ATT and they use diff sim cards. I was going to simply pop mine in. Seems like I have to get a nano sim and add another line. I hate that the carriers have us by the sacs.

If you get one you don't have to add a line just have AT&T switch Sims and phone.
You would have to buy out right. With the T-Mobile $100 off deal is a great way to save some money. Best Buy will match the price.
Also Best Buy is selling the 64gb version for $550 not the 32gb Verizon and AT&T sells.
No need for price match anymore.

Thanks, I just saw that too! Google says that TMO doesn't price match, but I'm still in my 14 day window for the one I bought from them. Has anyone had any luck getting them to price match, or at least allow a return without their restocking fee?
