Hi everybody- I've seen a few threads with respect to unrooting a Droid 2 on windows/linux, but not one to do so by Mac. I haven't yet rooted my Droid 2, and wanted to wait until I knew there was a way to unroot. Thanks!
Use the DORoot program but use the ./doroot.sh command but with -unroot.
So...
./doroot.sh -unroot
Ok trying to root my bro's motorola droid x and I am not having any luck at all.
can anyone help me out to get this rooted. I wanna install a rom on it but can't root this phone at all need help asap
What method are you trying? Have you tried z4 root? I've done a bunch of Dx's and D2G's with that app no problems. It even worked on HTC Droid Eris.
I have a buddy that has a droid x with the 2.3.3 software installed unrooted. he would like to root his phone and we are currently trying the one click root apk to no luck. is there anyone who has the time to walk me and my friend through the process. I have rooted before thunderbolt old droid x and droid og but i have not rooted droid x with gingerbread. PLEASE HELP!
Once my replacement data cable arrives I plan on using this method. Looks quite simple actually.

It's on stock 4.5.602 with 30.4 bootloader, and i've tried many ways to get root on it but unsuccesfull. Everytime i RSD to froyo .340, it stucks on APEX logos.

Its just the Pete's Motorola Root Tools, which has been very dificult to find since the developer clossed the website.
Working for DROID Pro (100% tested by myself on 2.3.3 Verizon) and many other Motorola's on GB

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I see you tested it on a Droid Pro using 2.3.3, but the title says it works on 2.3.4. So, I was wondering if anyone has actually used Pete's Motorola Root Tools, on a Droid Pro running 2.3.4. Thank you!
Thanks.
This worked for me on WinXP, with motorola USB drivers, and I had to enable USB debugging, which may seem obvious but it really should be have mentioned in the program itself.
