There is a known issue with playing 720p flash videos in CM7. I wasn't having this issue running stock and HomeBase. I am looking for feedback from others running CM7 to see if it's an issue with our Atrix's and CM7 Beta or something on my end. Will some please test and reply!

No one? I'm talking about playing a 720p YouTube video from the site. Not with the YouTube app. 720p is choppy, virtually unplayable.

Has anyone experienced any audio/video syncing problem? I have noticed this problem with streaming video (mainly youtube, I am located in Europe and I have no access to Netflix or Hulu) and with video files played with media players (like stock, rockplayer, mx video player). I have also noticed that there is a different amount of lag with different types of files but there is always some lag.
I have experienced this using both the stock amazon rom and cm7.
Is there anyone else with this issue or is something wrong with my fire?
I had this issue with Netflix today.

My Netflix is off as well. Unfortunate indeed....I want to go back to stock from cm7 and see if it works better on stock.

I am stock, never been rooted.
I had some sync issues when trying to play certain codecs or videos of certain resolutions, seems kind of random though.
I have this issue with almost all video. Netflix is always out of sync, and most videos from the internet as well. Did a side by side of same exact video with a Samsung Galaxy 7.0 (not plus), and all video was perfect on it. Im boxing it up and sending it back. Sucks because I really wanted to like it.

Hey I just installed Cyanogen on my Fire and it is no longer out of sync. So this proves that it is a software issue and that Amazon needs to fix it.
In on cm7 and mine is still out of sync

Anyone find a solution to thus yet?
Netflix is out of sync for me too. No problems with Hulu Plus or youtube though. Stock and CM7
I just want to inform that video is working with VPlayer, I play a .avi file and the sound has some delay but I don't know if it happens the same with cm7
I used 2012-01-19 Sound1-19.zip
Thanks to all developers
Try MX instead, has better performance. But why did this deserve its own thread?

It works! Good find
I have sound working with a vid of .wmv on MOBO player. ICS 2012-01-19 Sound1-19.zip
Likely using the cpu and no hardware acceleration. Stuff that needs or requires hardware accelerations, youtube, Netflix, etc... do not work.
You have to use SW acceleration to make it work.
HW is still broken.

AVCHD and m2ts doesnt mean very very high quality. S3 supports video playback up to 45mb/s (or so stated by samsung). The video you are playing is mostly 18 mb/s.

What you're saying is true. The video am playing had a bitrate of around 19-22 Mbps or so (as qouted by my Playstation 3)...but, i have tried another 1080p video (it was a star wars movie, and you know how bitrates go crazy about fast action and so) and it still worked. M2TS is all about insane bitrates, and, ultimately, high picture quality
Anyways am still experimenting how far the Galaxy S3 can go...will post more videos eventually.

150 mb/s file played with big delay and it was almost non playable. I can understand since that is too high even for core i7.
46 mb/s file played perfectly without a glitch in sound and picture. Very impressive.

How is the image quality/resolution of the movies from the Play Store?
Is there a better source for HD movies, either rental or buy?
It doesn't look like Amazon will suport the N10, correct?
Is Ultraviolet any good?

The play store movies and videos offer very good image quality and have recently been optimized for the nexus 10's high resolution display. Google plays video quality is high enough as it is but 1080p Blurays might offer you better quality. Amazon doesn't seem to support it now but it may in the future, you could always download the video then use a video converter such as handbrake to convert it for the nexus 10. Ultraviolet is so-so it's not as mature or perfected as Netflix or Amazon instant videos and many people I know have had bad experiences with it.

Looks like Ice Age HD is included with our Nexus 10. So far the quality for this movie really looks good. Can't complain.

I tried using the app from the link below. It opens up but crashes when I try to watch a movie. I tried signing on through the browser but it didn't help. I should say that I don't have prime yet. I'm thinking on buying it if I can use it on my nexus 10.

I don't think steaming works yet, but you could download the videos Amazon offers then convert them to play on the nexus 10. Also the app you mentioned hasn't been updated to work with jelly bean which would probably explain the force closes your getting.

If you run a plex media server on a desktop, you can add an amazon instant video channel and then watch it from your plex app on your tablet.

Thank you very much guys! I still don't understand why amazon won't make an app for android. it should be easier than releasing one for iOS.

True that. Doesn't work on the latest soak (13MB) update, works on 1st soak test though with BSPlayer.

Decoder depends on kernel. CM12's kernel allows H/W flawlessly. And dude, are you kidding us or something? 2k, 4k doesn't matter? LOL. You are trying to say 4k vids will play smooth on Moto E, eh? The higher the resolution of the video, higher the power it needs to get decoded. Of course the output will be resized to the display's resolution but that doesn't mean you are decoding a 4k video at 540p. Moto E is not even meant to play 1080p vids according to Motorola and they have put this limitation for a reason. Though most 1080p vids play fine, some high bitrate vids don't. Since not all 1080p vids play smoothly on this device, that's why Motorola has specified that the device is not fullHD capable (otherwise won't you shout at them if they say fullHD will play fine but some of your vids lag?).

1080p doesn't work. Only 720p does by default in LP stock.
