I am having problem working Arduino ADK Board with CM7.1.
It keeps connecting and disconnecting automatically in a loop.
I am not sure what is the problem.

I solved the problem myself. It is due to some power shortage with only USB power from PC. When I connect the Arduino to extrnal power source as well it works fine. Thanks

Hello,
Is there a chance to have USB host on HD2 under android builds ?
If not can we know what is the main problem ?
Android is based on a linux kernel isn't it ?
So, if USB host is supported under linux builds, why is it impossible on android ?
Thanks to teatch me !
I don't think android in general allows USB host on any device... that's the problem. The linux kernel supports it, but android doesn't. If you use ubuntu you can have usb host on the HD2.
Actually, the Notion Ink Adam runs Android and has USB host mode. With a bit of kernel hackery, this could well be possible on the HD2.
Using a USB Y-cable and providing external power, it should be possible to connect all sorts of things. I'm patiently waiting for this capability as I have a USB SSD HDD that I connect to my car's head unit that I'd like to connect to my phone when I'm at work

You're right, I have seen other android tablets with usb host, too. I remember seeing the devs explain somewhere why android on the hd2 doesn't have usb host... I thought I remember it sounding like it wouldn't be able to happen until a later version of android... but I could be wrong or misunderstood. I'll try to find where I read this.

Hi.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10797562
It's an easy way to use the USB connector in host mode, works under ubuntu.
with some adaptors you can build it also by using an y- cable.
But I think android for HD2 doesn't support anny usb features until now, perhaps someone will activate it in the kernel.

Yes, most of us are aware that host mode is usable whilst running Ubuntu. The problem is that Ubuntu is not really convenient as a main phone OS; Android is and some devices seem to have host mode while running Android.
Hopefully one of the devs will see this thread and give some insight.
I am having issues with USB on my IO Tab 10.1. It's rooted and is still holding root. Currently, When i power the tab, I can not ADB or fastboot into the tab. I can reboot into recovery from terminal app within the Tab. Any ideas on where to get started?
I have a real hardware issue with the USB.
ADB works but it disconnects all the time. USB keeps connecting and disconnecting.
I am sure it is a hardware issue because it happens even more when I beat softly the tab in the bezel. That little acceleration make the USB connect or disconnect.
I will have to buy a new cable and cross fingers for it to solve the issue.
Anyway I have contacted SAMSUNG and they said to me that the Tab can only be repaired if it is in US.... so bad support from them to worldwide developers and bad luck for me that I am in Spain.
regards
Haven't had any issues myself. What OS do you run. You need to install the Samsung drivers on windows. Need to set the Samsung USB id on Linux, and it should work out of the box on osx.

I have tried on Windows, OSX, and Ubuntu. It was working before. Now, it does not work. When I am on Odin3 mode, the tablet is seen using USB. Shows up on W7 as Android Phone with ADB. Fastboot (USB) mode does not work.
Like l said, I can still boot into recovery. I am hoping that someone will have a update.zip or Odin3 complete update soon. It's really odd. Working one moment, then the next moment, it does not work anymore.
Just called Samsung. Level 3 told me that they'll reflash it for me for free. So that's all good. Will take 7 days.
Woohoo....
Hey Guys, Just with the disconnecting and reconnection of USB devices in Fastboot or Recovery. Iv had that with a couple of different phones, and it seems to be an issue with what USB port ur using?
I dont know if there any truth to it, but when i move the phone from a USB hub, to a USB port straight from the mobo, it seemed to connect the device fine..
Could be something completely unrelavent
So whenever I plug my phone into the computer via usb the touch screen stops responding completely or will "register" a touch in a random spot in which I have not touched. I'm running windows 7 and I heard that I need the latest drivers to fix this but I checked and my drivers are up to date. Anyone have insight on how to correct this problem?
Commonly caused by 'noisy' electricity. Try a different cable, port, PC, etc. to figure out which is the problem.
Will do thanks for the tip. Will reply after testing.
Edit: So the usb port was 90% of the problem it works almost all the time now. Unfortunately I only have one cable right now to try. Thanks for the tip
it is also recommended that you use a direct usb port on the pc and not a hub.
Yea. I only have a laptop which is getting old so I don't know but the USB ports rarley work now anyway.

Hello!
I have a very strange problem with my nexus. I purchased an USB-adapter to connect USB-sticks to my to it (http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B006TCXLF4/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
As soon as I connect an USB-stick via this cable the nexus crashes. The display gets dark and it doesn't react on any input. I even can't restart it with the power-button.
Only thing I can do is to connect it to the charger, then it restarts. This happens with different sticks.
The connection works with an other adapter!
Also the comments at amazon say that the adapter works with the nexus 10.
Has anyone experienced a similar effect?
Thanks for your help!
What kernel are u on ?

I am completely stock on 4.2.2.
I am think I will send the adapter back...it must be defective - my only explanation.
Dear XDA developer forum members and Android enthusiastic,
Hope you all are all in good health and doing good.
I am basically a Electronic hardware guy with limited knowledge on Android.
With some efforts in last few weekends I could successfully install an Android 10 build into my raspberry Pi 4 single board computer.
This works all right when the Ethernet is always connected.
1. When Ethernet it disconnected it goes into a reset loop and even does not connect to wifi with correct password? Can anybody share how to move forward to solve this ? You can see this failure at the end of the below
youtube video : ZYfnSwyDHfQ
2. When I start skype it does not connect always, probably because skype for Android always looks for an wifi connection… so it fails to sign me in. Work around >> with skype lite I can log in.
Can anybody guide me how to force skype to sign in using the Ethernet in Android?
In some attempts when I was lucky to connect the wi-fi and sign in skype.. then it works all right even when I later connect my Ethernet.
Kind regards,
SC
