ADW EX & Multi Live Wallpaper - Acer Iconia A500

I'm having a problem with ADW EX and multi live wallpaper. I've set up different wallpapers for each home screen but in ADW it shows the wallpaper for the center screen on all of the screens. If I go into the default honeycomb launcher it correctly shows the different wallpapers on each screen. It's clearly a problem with ADW. Is this a glitch or is there a setting I have to find and change?

Adw ex settings - general behavior- animation and effects - make sure check mark is checked on wallpaper scrolling. Looks real nice with multipicture and adw both set to cube.

Thanks a lot! That was the problem. I don't remember turning that off but I might have by accident at some point. I however have another problem. I just booted up my tab and all of the widgets in ADW say 'Problem loading widget' do I have to delete them all and recreate them?
edit: For anyone having that problem, you apparently can't set custom themes because they cause your SD card to not mount right away when you boot.

When you first boot up it takes widgets like desktop visualizer and some clock widgets a little longer to load. The tab has a startup process and they are the last to startup. Usually give your tab a minute for them to load and your good to go. You will only see this after booting up, not when waking from sleep.

How 2 turn off the home jumper thing on the bottom screen?

When I'm flipping left and right on my home/widget screens this short cut/jump to screen pops up on the bottom. I can't figure out how to disable it!! I try to go into my drawer/all app list and end up jumping to another home screen. Please help

You could just use a different launcher? I've moved to ADW Launcher and I'm loving it so far. Lots of options/tweaks.
Drop blur & just use an alternative home launcher such as adw or launcher pro.

Just downloaded new launcher. Good info thanks y'all.

I use launcher pro (plus) the beta version is free, basically i turn off homescreen rotation (like it is in moto, which i agree with i'm only gonna hold the homescreen one way)
and i enable 5 rows in the homescreen Gives so much more room to have widgets. as well as icons, it looks kinda messed up if you go landscape homescreen.
It just makes sense to me and wish more wide phones (which is about all the new phones now) should come like that

Default SCreen

How do i make my second screen out of 3 the default screen. For some reason it keeps going to the last one...
What launcher are you using? With ADW or LauncherPro its in the settings.

touchwiz, what i mean is when you edit the home screens of the 7 you can edit, it always pulls the last screen as the default, and if theres more than 4 it pulls the 4th.
There's a thread for this already. It's set that way by default. Can't change it. Use a different launcher

I don't think it can be customized with TW. Use ADW and you'll get a lot more options than just which screen is the default.

How to stop wallpaper scrolling?

Does anyone know how I can stop wallpaper scrolling? I wanna just have the full wallpaper inplace withought scrolling?
I think that's an option in ADW Launcher. I know its an option in ADW Launcher EX.
you can't do it unless you get a different laucher, launcherpro can do it too in the options

I do have launcher pro, but all yet it only freezes the wallpaper and not all off it shows?
You'll need to crop the image yourself, most launchers dont have robust options when it comes to editting. Just make the image the same resolution as your screen.

Solution to avoid cropping wallpaper

For all of those asking this question i have found a solution. In android market download the free live wallpaper "multi picture" you may find it by simply typing live wallpapers in the search bar. When you go to set the live wallpaper click settings and change the picture source to the the image you desire and set the transition effect to none, then be sure the pic size is set to full screen. This will give you any full image as a solid background with no resize or cropping needed.

I am not sure if it is when you are running stock. I am running tabooney custom rom which is deodexed and has several tweaks including kernel tweaks. It doesnt slow anything on mine. All i can suggest to you is to be sure that transition effects is set to none within the settings menu of the live wallpaper itself.

Nice App
Great Tip
It even puts a different desktop on each screen. I love this app.
Thanks Much
Another way of doing it is with Wallpaper Wizardii:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.twistedapps.wallpaperwizardrii&feature=search_result
The app works only in portrait here but sets the wallpapers just as it should. You can select for the wall to be scrollable or not plus other fine tuning options.
Thanked for the tip, the wallpaper scaling was just downright horrible before

New Launchers

Hi friends,
Anyone got a good launcher other than Go ,ADW, Launcher Pro, etc ....one good for the transformer and that does not have a dock on the left, or bottom.
The main thing I am trying to do is get rid of 5 scrollable screens, I just want 3. Any modification ideas??

You can remove the dock with ADW. But you have to add a shortcut to open the app drawer.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.vtlab.launcher&feature=search_result is a honeycomb optimized launcher I believe. check that out. ive never used it though

From the description:
"VTL.Launcher - Tablet Optimized - Scrolling Docks - Scrolling Widgets - And More
***NOT FOR HONEYCOMB YET***
Pretty sure it is only optimized for Gingerbread on larger screens. I tried this one about a month ago and was really disappointed.

Aww that sucks. I just remember reading a article about it but never really looked into it. Looking forward to it's release. bummer
You can get rid of screens using ADW just select edit and select the screens you do not need. You can also hide the dock but add a short cut for the app panel on the desktop.
Hi Everyone
Ok thanks for your advise, I have loaded ADW and successfully configured it nicely, however I removed my old system launcher, and put this ADW launcher in the system app section. Now everytime I boot, the thing reinstalls wiping my settings....
Does anyone have experience if you make ADW a ststem app, why does it reinstall each time you restart (wiping all user settings) and is there a way aroun d it? an odex file maybe?
why do you want it to run as a system app?
because its better than stock app...do remove stock app to replace with this makes life easy and bloat free...Also if someone with no understanding of programming deletes this app (wife or Kids or my parents) then I have to do a CWM recovery----I dont want to do that....
Set ADW as your default launcher and use an autorun manager to stop the stock launcher from running at boot-up. Problem solved.

I used up for "open app drawer" and down for "show information panel" or whatever the small dock at the lower right is called.
