[Q] Anyone get annoyed with apps with adds?

Anyone getting annoyed by the fact that everytime you flash a new rom there is alot of apps that nice that are in it but you have to pay for them so they serve no use along with some using a theme launcher that you also have to pay for cause if you try to uninstall it it's built into the rom and will mess your phone up. Alot of apps are asking for too many permissions that arn't needed and some ads out there snatch up your phone number and spam the crap outta it.

What apps are you talking about? And yeah I agree I hate ads myself but I don't like adfree neitheir cause at the and always end up removing the host file

On the market anything free demo wise is full of adds and some ask for too much permission to use along with apps that are included in roms. Be nice if some of the folks that designed there roms also made there own themes instead of putting a bunch of stuff on there that you have to buy to use. Just wondering who is annoyed with it thats all ...

Oh yeah I know lol I hate apps man sometimes I preffer to play angry bird in my old iphone because of that and the permissions oh well we got to deal with that

Actually avg antivirus app for android is in the market lmao, my brother told me that he install it and the app was telling him the superuser app was a trojan or something

Yea I deff agree. They should make 2versions of some apps/games like angry birds paid or free with ads, same with words with friends. I know that words with friends paid is in the works but they should release ad free paid and free at the same time. My opinion anyway.

Yeah that's what google wants they talk about it not too.long ago that you we're going to be able to buy the premium app or add ons with in the app, I just hope developers use it

I can't wait for the amazon market to open, and the sony playstation market to open. I hope those both turn out well and give us the boost to blow iphones apps to hell! Wishful thinkin maybe but hope we atleast get the great app support they get. Even though ours is much improved we still got a ways to go.

This sucks!
My internet was really really slow when I was on network or wifi. A member suggested me to install Adfree and download the host files. I did that and it solved my internet problems but now I can't play words with friends because it blocks the ads.
I can't take a L in 18 active games I have going on. What should I do?

You need to erase the host file
Buy root explorer (android market) really good app for root phones to
Open the app, give it super user permissions, and go to system, etc and look for the host file erase it and reboot that should fix it

Adfree outweighs the hassle of ads IMHO. Everytime I try and use an ad supported app just to get interrupted by bumping an ad and opening up the browser, it just plain sucks. Ill stop using android if I have to look at ads all day.

Amazon requires you have their market downloaded and running in the background for Amazon apps to work. We can't post the APKs, as they wont work.

Today's app is PicSay Pro. I have to say I've been very surprised by the quality apps Amazon has been giving away on app of the day. If the idea is to get users to look at their market every day, it's definitely working on me.

1. Since it's no longer free, it's now warez, and that's bad in XDA.
2. It's really a crappy game, you just run up the field and dodge increasing amounts of defenders to score touchdowns. While this seems fun, the controls are far from it. You steer your player like a car using the accelerometers, and not with a dpad. You run by rubbing up and down on a line on the side of the screen. Doing both of these at the same time _does not work_.
I grabbed it, tried it, and deleted it. If there was a way to gift games, I would give it to you.

The free apps haven't been to bad so far that I've seen.
Starting with Angry Birds Rio.
I've gotten Fruit Ninja, Flight Control and Talking Tom, and as someone mentions today's Picsay Pro which is fun.

Airport mania was free Yesterday also, that was a good pickup. I agree, we can't post them that'd be out of line. But you have to pay attention from now on.

I for one like the 1 click purchasing. The last thing i want to do on my phone is go through a whole checkout process for a 99 cent app.
They do the same for Kindle books... this is nothing new.

I like the Amazon app store. I like to take advantage of the free apps that they have each day. anyone know how much longer that will go on?

I don't think they really care about the occasional accidental $0.99 sale. They're doing it to get you used to and comfortable with the idea of going to Amazon to get apps, and they want to make sure that if/when you do reach that point and start to actually buy apps from them, that it is trivially easy for you. You're more likely to do all the work of entering and setting everything up when you're getting something for free. If you had to set everything up and go through all the checkout nonsense for a single $0.99 app, you'd probably just say screw it and buy through the regular google android market.
I think it's a decent idea. They give away free music using the same theory, but I think the free apps they've been giving away are much, much better than the free songs you can get from them.

Amazon has a *really* good calendar app for free today. It's normally around $5. It's called "Business Calendar". Has a great widget as well.

+1. I just got this today and it really handles my calendars better than anything else I've tried.
And I have to admit that the Amazon appstore is really growing on me. If I have multiple devices, will they all have access to the apps I've gotten through the appstore?

Amazon wants this appstore to be like the kindle. they want this appstore on as many devices as possible. it would make much sense if your apps were tied to only device.

I think their app store is great. I didn't understand the peple that post in other thread they would not use the amazon app store because they didn't want to fragment the android app market? The way I look at they give me a free app and if I. Buy a paid app I buy it from them as thanks for for the free apps to support them. I just think that's fair.

dangit can't find either in the market wtf

I like the game but I can't see texts when they come if I'm playing. My notification light blinks and I have to ask whoever I'm texting to resend. I think it might be because of high minfree's. Happened on MikG and Synergy

Are they only in market if you have GB? If not whats the exact title of the game if you dont mind b/c i can't find either of em.

i was having a hard time stopping playing too.....
until i reached level 4-3, and now my EVO goes into a reboot halfway through the level. anybody else experiencing this?
awesome game though. glad i scooped it up when it was free on amazon.

Get Fake My GPS (free on the Market). Then place yourself in an innocent location (Bowling Alley, Walmart, Insane Asylum, Emergency Room).

There never, ever is a good or valid reason for that kind of low life behavior. It's just cowardice or total lack of character. Any one who thinks this behavior is excusable or justifiable is admitting to a similar mindset.

Carrier billing FTW? Got 3 apps and a game. Put it on my tab
They kind of chose a bad batch of apps though. Really only SoundHound and SwiftKey are the big ones, but I bought the keyboard during black Friday on sale already.
