I am running Phiremod for Nook, Android ver. 2.3.3, Mod Ver. 6.3, Build number GRI40.
Last night I fully charged my Nook and removed it from the charging cable at 11PM. This morning my battery was down to 85%.
When I went to [Settings] [About Tablet] [Battery Use] it showed me that "Phone Idle" had used up 91% of the missing battery. Now, we all know that the Nook doesn't have a phone. So Is that some sort of internal app looking for a phone? or is it just a general "Idle" setting that's poorly named?
Either way, what can I do to keep the Nook from losing power when it's not is use? I use it primarily for video viewing with just a bit of light surfing or gaming.
Thoughts?
Thank you.

Switch to CM7 with deep sleep. Saves your battery a ton.

I'm getting between 153mA - 289mA on standby.
This is a FRESH install on NAND. I was actually getting a little bit less drain when I was running via SD card with Coredroid (and the matching WinMO rom).
I've seen tips and tricks on how to lower battery drain when you're SD/WinMO...but haven't been able to find anything on NAND. My thought was that it was a lower drain then SD "out of the box".
setup
-wifi disabled
-bluetooth disabled
-GPS Diabled
-Autosync disabled
-Screen brightness all the way down
-Email push every 15 minutes
Can someone point me in the right direction as to where I can find some info on this?
Thanks
Do you have your phone plugged in when you are seeing these numbers?
If so...unplug your phone and see if your numbers change. When i am plugged into either AC or USB i see the same results...on battery power I get 2-4mA

Nope not plugged in. I get about the same readings pluged in or running on battery power. I've tried reinstalling current widget as well.
It finally dropped down to 2mA on standby a few minutes ago. Why such a rapid jump?
For me was this build laggy for the first 30-40 min.I think ther was running some initial setups..so could be the reason for your high battery drain

i have no more than 12 hours from 100% unplugged according to some small program from the market... charging over night in the morning it shows 0mA in the current widget... after a day use when i check the current widget history it says sometimes in standby 3-4 mA but usually stays at 15-20 mA (i do not know why)... no wifi, no data, GSM, no GPS etc...
Just so you know, when phone on charge current widget shows how much charge the phone is getting, so when its zero the battery is full I get 3-5ma in standby with everything off I recommend to everyone doing a full charge with phone off once flashed new Rom
It's full when led turns green
Please check out Projections thread on his new kernel for DFT's NAND build.
That should fix your draining issues. Though they are quite high in your specific case.
So in looking at my Battery Use - running CM7-n107 with verygreen's SD installer, I notice that the "Android OS" comprises most of my battery use, even over Display.
When I compare that to my EVO 4G, the "Android OS" is waaay at the bottom.
Is there some fix or glitch or something going on that I don't know about, and can tweak? Is it normal that Android OS is one of the top events listed in Battery Usage?
I'm using Dal's kernel, but it's only overclocked to 1100MHz, and in CONSERVATIVE mode. For the most part, this sits quiet, unused - and am noticing significant battery drain.
Is this just my perception, or is there something I can do? I have most syncing turned off, all the usual battery saving settings configured.
Maybe it's just battery recalibration - does anyone know how to do a battery stat reset with verygreen's bootloader? It has no interface. Is there ADB commands I can do or something?

This is a shot in the dark, but from reading in the EVO4G forums about this issue (I have an EVO4G as well) I gather the issue is partly due to the phone app.
Try deleting the phone app from your NC since you can't use it anyway ...
Have a Nook for a 8 month. Rooted, b&n apps disabled. But yesterday I charged my Nook whole night. Today at the morning battery say - fully charged. After 16 hours, 2 hours wi-fi, opera, reading - i have 100%. WTF? What to do? I have CWM backup - restored, but nothing changing.
I don't know.
Why don't you read off the actual battery voltage?
% Battery is dependent on estimated load and battery temperature.
If you don't have the battery details in your Settings you can load UsbMode.apk (in signature), which shows a bunch of stuff.
Still full.

Thx for the reply. I installed UsbMode.apk it says - 4.042V 100%, but today it is second day, but battery still full of charge.

Renate NST, now I'm so surprised but indicator says 99%.24hours with on wi-fi, 2 hours of reading. So weird. I continue my observation. Thx.
now all right
Now all right. Battery level 89%. Tonight I'm trying fully charged my Nook for tomorrow morning, and see battery level during the day.
Hey Guys,
this morning I woke up to a dead phone again. Which was odd, because i charged it to 100% a couple of hours before I went to sleep.
When I turned it on and plugged it into the charger I immediately went into the battery usage log and took these screenshots.
Now, I heard of problems with the N4, the battery not being the best and all, but is it normal for the phone to discharge in that time by just lying around?
Also, when I plugged it in, the displayed battery level climbed somewhat fast. It had 1% when I plugged it in and 10% a minute after that. While I write this, it's at 20% already.
Is this anything out of the ordinary or am I just imagining it?

Have you installed any new apps lately?
I'm betting you have a wakelock that is preventing your phone from entering deep sleep.
Download Better Battery Stats and see if it's wakelock causing it

Let's see... I installed UCCW (not used yet), Light Manager (changed LED settings slightly) and Fast Reboot.
Could the Light Manager be the problem? I'll go ahead and check those battery stats anyway...
EDIT: Oh, I also recently set up face unlock (stock feature) Should not be a problem though, since it's not an additional app, right?
So, after running on battery for a while I took these. Can you make any sense of it?
EDIT: Wanted to check the stats again after I had on battery for the night and it was dead again. Unfortunately the stats seem to be deleted when the phone restarts (or maybe when it's plugged in).
I bought a 3500mAh extended battery of ebay and it goes down to 1% way too fast. It's still at 3700mV when it reaches 1% and it will not turn off before it's below 3200-3150 (Another 6hours of active display at 100% brightness and 1,5hours of Stability Test). Fully charged (phone turned off, charged for 10hours) the battery reports ~4100mV.
According to a thread I started in Q&A, there is fix from Quarx already integrated in his ROMs, but it doesn't seem to work. (I use CM10 9/18)
How can I get my Defy to report correct percentages of battery charge? It would probably work if it calculated it from the voltage, wouldn't it?
There's an app that does exactly that. I believe this is what you're looking for -> http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x-apps/37085-app-battery-monitor.html
Go for version 9.4 for GB and the current play store version for JB.
Thanks a lot! I've been looking for something like that for days now!
