While resolving the ad-hoc wifi connectivity issues between my Win 7 laptop and my Galaxy S2, I have accidently deleted the original WPA_SUPPLICANT file. Now I am not able to start my wifi connection. Please attach the original and untouched wpa_supplicant file to help me out. I am from India, running Galaxy S2-GT I9100 with Gingerbread 2.3.3 and XWKF3 kernel.
Immediate help would be highly appreciated esp. from India users of Galaxy S2... Thanks in adv.

Is there a rooted app or mod or something that I can do to allow my S5 to connect to ad-hoc networks? I've been looking around online, but all I find are guides for other devices such as the Galaxy Ace. Is there a modified wpa_supplicant file for the S5 that will enable ad-hoc?
I'm looking for modified wpa_supplicant for months I'm afraid that only way to connect to ad-hoc on Galaxy S5 is switch to custom rom like CM. I used modified wpa_supplicant years ago on S2 with Android 2.3, never found anything after upgrading to JellyBean.

Did you try to use wpa_supplicant from CM 4.4.4 ?
No, I'm not sure if it has any chance to work.

I recently found out that the original verizon Note 3 rom has an option to select which frequency to use in the Wifi hotspot ( 2.4GHz or 5GHz).
Is it possible to enable this on any rom ?

Hi! i have a I9300IXXUBNH3 Galaxy s3 neo duos, and I have flashed a rom, only to find the wifi does not work. I am after two files under the system/libs/modules/ directory if one of you has this phone and can help me out! I need wlan.ko, and in the "pronto" folder, pronto_wlan.ko.
Without these, i cannot get wifi to work on this phone. if you need any more information let me know please. thank you!

Hi All, I recently bought an at&t Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 that is still on 4.1.1. I am using this device on wifi only and do not have an att sim card to update OTA.
