Recently I just took my phone out of my pocket and noticed that my power button was pressed in and its very hard to press down. Should l send it in for a new one with warranty? Please help!!!!!!

I have the same problem. I called in about it last week and all their mytouch4g's are out of stock so they offered to send me a G2x but in my opinion the mt4g is way better. I just remapped the power button to the camera button and its working good for me.

This is a problem with some HTC phones. If the phone is still under warrantly, you should get it replaced.
Is there a way to fix this if you are not under warranty?

Does anyone else have an issue with their power button? It seems as if I have to push it down really hard now to turn phone off or restart phone. I have the white one if that means anything. No other problems until now.

Had that same exact problem when I had my white. I switched to black and the power button iz MUCH better. It sticks out more too so it makes the power button a breeze to push with no effort. Sometimes I push it just for the hell of it.

My back button isn't popping back up like the other buttons. Its stuck in the down position and to use it I have to press pretty hard. Is there hope to fixing this or replacing a broken part? Or can I just move the back button to lets say the genius button?

if you have no warranty, then open the phone up and re-alignh the button or see wats wrong
Thanks I just needed a push in the right direction. I was getting ready to open it up when low and behold it pooped back up and hasn't malfunctioned since. Which is great because the back button does so much on the mt4g

Don't tell them it came from Craigslist. I just had to do a swap on my son's Mytouch Slide and there were no questions asked about where I bought it.

one think I missed switching from nexus one to mt4g is touch buttons.
Hello everyone,
Was hoping someone could explain what the button combination "Volume Up + Power" actually does..??
I tried it just a few moments ago and the only thing that happened was it vibrated, nothing showed up on the screen (as if it were off), and the LED (orange) kept blinking. No buttons worked, so had to pull the battery.
Before doing that, I decided to attach the phone to my computer via USB. It asks for drivers. Which drivers though? I already have all the drivers installed for my phone...
Anyway, the main question here is..what is this mysterious mode the phone goes into when powering on the device using volume UP??

I'm running [KANG]CM 7.2.RC0.
The latest one.
I didn't think the ROMs had anything to do with the power and volume combinations when starting up the phone.
...did I forget to mention that in my original post? Basically, my phone is not on when I'm trying the button combos..

youve gotta hold volume down + power button to access fastboot. volume up + power button only works for the stock recovery

My sister in laws power button is broken - any suggestions on a fix?
I tried taking the button off and you can turn it on using the stylus still.
Don't suggest a new phone I already think that's in the cards.

Is anyone facing issues with their home button. My home button a little loose. A slight press kinda depresses it a little but not actually registering a keypress [you have a press a little harder for that] I dont think I handled it bad in any way. Does anyone else face this? Also, do I give it in for this? Unfortunately, I installed CWM on my i9500 so I think I voided my warranty as I didnt think I'd need it
One of my friends i9505 have a very low profile home button.. and phone is only 5 days old..
The button is working okay.. but i have adviced him to get it fixed asap.
I had same isue on my sgs3 and after weeks the button almost didnt work anymore.
