you can use this later for different sizes too. just open flash.cfg using notepad and arrage it according to the rom you want.

you could also download the hd2 toolkit and adjust your partitions as need for different roms. with the toolkit you dont have to search the site looking for different part. sizes

[Q] How to change the framework-res.apk file in NAND builds?

Hi guys! I'm having hard time changing the framework-res.apk in the system folder. The problem is this - with the NAND builds the folder is in some unknown format and can't be edited via RootExplorer or any other. Do I need to push it via adb or termunal emulator? And if yes can someone type down the right commands, because I don't know them. Thanks in advance!

I'll try another one later.
By the way, it works on the SD version though.
Sent from my HD2 Droid using XDA App
I got it to work to change the status bar on the NAND Desire HD rom im running. I got the framework from HERE
This is an easy way to replace framework-res.apk without using ADB.
Just change the permissions and paste the framework-res.apk over your original and reboot.

[Q] how to make nand file when you have sd file

can anyone help me how to make nand file when i have sd file cuz i cannot install from my sd card i need to install directly
thanks
I am not sure that I understand what is your exact problem. But if I'm right and you can not install rom from SD card and want to install it directly from computer, maybe you should try to use DAF versions ?

yes but there is only one daf version and i want to know how to convert the sd version to daf version
That's not very easy. You'd have to edit the intrid.gz and and zImage and other things to make it work. More effort than it's worth. What ROM you looking for? Is it a .zip SD card file or and Android folder type?

To the point - the fact you're asking this question leads me to believe you're not skilled enough to know how to perform all of the changes this would require.
My suggestion is you forget about the SD version and make the move to the NAND Android instead.
The DAF version is a way for Windows to put Android on your phone through the built-in bootloader onto the NAND chip on your phone. SD android is a completely different structure and you'll never find an "SD DAF" Android.
could you perhaps extract the system folder from the CWM zip, then use mkyaffs2image to build a system.img and drop that in place of the original system.img from the DFT version? (and teh same with the boot folder boot.img too, i would assume)
Or is that make believe?

Extracting the system folder from CWM zip wont work. Its because during the zip installation the updater script is beeing called and it creates a lot of symlinks. So, if you just extract and convert, you will miss the whole bunch of symlinks (and permissions, etc..)

Really?
Never heard of DAF then?
We're limited to either SD or CWM install, are we?

Heh, dig deeper.
The op is limited to usb only so yea, in this case we are limited to daf only, and he finds there isn't as wide range of daf roms, hence the perfectly reasonable question.
which part of the original post can't you understand?

Ah I thought maybe something like that, but figured I'd ask anyway, for myself if nothing else.

I'll assume your lack of English skills is the reason you've totally mis-understood every single thing i've written in this thread.
If I've missunderstood, it can only mean that even though it didn't sound like it, you do agree with me, in which case appology accepted, lets say no more about it.

what do I

I can not install a cooked rom because it does not see the zip file in the sd. I changed my sd but does not see it the same with the procedure (Wipe data / factory reset, format / system etc.) are blocked. I can do?

[Q] question bout cwm and hyperdroid

So I flashed a CM10 ROM long ago on my moms and my hd2s. She having issues with it lately so I wanna put hyperdroid on it since it seems reliable and stable(read lots posts).
My issue is for hyperdroid says need cwm 150mb and can't remember what cwm is current on her phone(or its size) and how to change the current cwm size(prolly 200+ as it was a large ROM) with a new one(150mb).
Any help would be appreciated.
There are two ways to do it. I assume you used the DAF.exe method to flash CWM since you don't know how to change the size of the partition so what you have to do is edit the flash.cfg. Open the folder on your PC where CWM is stored and look at all the files there. One of them is called flash.cfg, open it with notepad (which should be the default I think). Change the value next to SYSTEM YA XXX MB to 150 and save the file. Then, just flash CWM on your phone using the same method as before and you'll be good to go.
Alternatively, use the HD2 toolkit which is fairly self-explanatory but also requires an extra download.
Thanks for the help might just use toolkit since seems easier

Strange files in recovery mode

Hi all,
I flashed LineageOS 16 successfully but not without difficulty.
I would like to know about folders and files which are in
-> Advanced -> File manager when we are in recovery (TWRP)
Because I find that there are a lot of folders and files
sometimes with strange names. Malicious files can
do they slip inside? Is this a problem if I delete everything?
Thank you in advance. :good:

Hi,
There are a lot of files and folders but this is the first time that I install lineageOS.
I thought wipe an android would erase everything a bit like formatting a pc or there is nothing left on the disk. So it may be normal ...?
Thank's
