I have ClockworkMod recovery 2.5.0.1 and Cyanogen 6 nightlies on my Aria and have a couple of questions. First what is the latest ClockworkMod for the Aria? In rom manager it says 2.5.0.1, but on their website it says version 3.14 comes with 2.5.0.7.
My second question has to do with doing a nandroid backup with ClockworkMod. I have my sdcard partitioned with an ext4 partition and can move apps to the sd card, but during a nandroid backup it can't mount and backup sd-ext. Is this normal or do I have something wrong?
Thanks
Sean
After doing some research ClockworkMod 2.5.0.1 should support ext4, but it doesn't. I changed to ext3 and nandroid backup backs up sd-ext.
Sent from my Liberty using XDA App
I have other problem ,I have install ClockworkMod recovery 2.5.0.1 from rom manager , but I couldn't use it to install rom from SD card .
after it reboot my handset , there will have one red question mark , some one know what that mean ?
same here, I get the same thing, a black screen with a red question mark when selecting "reboot into recovery", someone please tell us what it means...
PS in ROM manager it says I have ClockworkMod 2.5.0.1 installed...

Sometimes trying to reboot into recovery from ROM Manager doesn't work too well. It is better to boot into recovery mode manually.
I get the black screen w/ red question mark either way...

Hi harsh
u have to reinstall custom recovery
u can choose amon_ra. or clockwork 3.0.0.5/6/7
there is backup option
You should use CWM 3.0.0.5 for CM7, this is special for CM7 in Kalimo's thread:

Hi all,
I have a amonRA recovery installed in my tattoo and have made a nandbackup. Now i want to switch to Clockworkmod recovery. Can i somehow use the nand backup from amonRA recovery in clockworkmod recovery???
PLEASE HELP!!!!
If you used the one click root and recovery method, just stick the downloaded clockword recovery .img file in the sdcard folder. Run the recovery script, and you're done!

i already using hd2 tookit to wipe and flash magldr, but i don't partition my phone.
i install Rom using native SD, so i make two partition on my SD card, using (recovery_4EXT2.2.7_leo_sd) to do that.
but i install ( MAGLDR_CWM_Recovery_v3.2.0.0_for_NexusHD2_135M ) to update my Rom.
did you mean that if i install recovery i partition phone ?
for nand install: in hd2 toolkit, you just choose partition size for magldr, click repartition and toolkit will repartition AND install recovery.
another problem

well, nand kernel open failed is because you don't have nand android. just in magldr find the setting to choose ad sd as default os. then reboot should work correctly.
you can't flash zips in roms. this is why they are flashed from recovery. if ad recovery shows nothing, then recovery is not correctly installed. partition your phone with hd2 toolkit and ad recovery should work.
btw, this is not "my" patch. it's the same patch tytung has in the rom's OP, but i only modded it to work on nativeSD. and the first time i tried it i accidently deleted the rom from my phone

it means that when i flash ( MAGLDR_CWM_Recovery_v3.2.0.0_for_NexusHD2_135M ) to flash zip file i was right ?
is cwm recovery partition my phone automatically ?
sorry for my bad experience, why i partition my phone while running native SD ?
you don't need to just boot via sd in magldr the recovery (4ext) and flash nativeSD rom to nativeSD and boot rom from ad sd too. there's no need to partition your phone

Mr gilbert
i format my SD card and make 2 partition ( fat32 + EXT4) and copy 4EXT recovery to my SD, used took it to wipe - flash maglder and Rom, No problem at all, but when i try to flash zip file such as arabic patch, restart my phone - magldr menu - ad recovery ..... nothing load
where is the problem ?
@e_m_e2000 omg. just go to settings in magldr, set ad sd location to 4ext recovery. now boot ad sd. it will boot 4ext recovery. use THIS recovery to flash any zip to native sd, because you haven't partitionned your phone and DON"T have AD RECOVERY. so ad recovery will not work UNLESS you repartition using hd2 toolbox.
just boot 4ext with ad sd menu, flash the fix and reboot. in magldr re-set ad sd back to nativeSD folder to boot the rom.
each time you want to flash a zip, you must use 4ext recovery. ad recovery cannot work without partitionning

thank you very much, sorry for my bad experience
after i flash cwm i can flash any zip file, you advise me to leave that or re flash that Rom and follow your steps for flash Arabic patch
well you can install an android rom after repartitionning on your phone.
if you repartition, you will be able to use ad recovery instead of 4ext recovery on sd.
if you repartition, booting ad sd will boot your rom. no need to reflash it or the fix.
you can after repartitionning install this rom using dataonext, your apps and settings should be preserved, but you will need to reflash the ORIGINAL arabic patch, not the one i provided for nativeSD
