Hi Guys,
I am really desperate for help. I have the VZW trophy and its currently stuck at the HTC logo the phone boots upto when it starts with green text on a white background. I was mid process of syncing my phone to Zune and then it just rebooted and is stuck there.
The phone had been officially upgraded to mango R2 a while back and I do have a copy of the backup. Additionally I upgraded the phones SD card a while back. I have tried factory resetting the phone by holding both volume buttons on boot and choosing option number 2.
Nothing I am trying is working! Anyone have any ideas of what could be going on?
Any ideas would be great, I was thinking possibly the SD Card went bad but I wasn't sure! Has anyone seen this behavior before?
Any help or ideas would be great!
Jeff
You can go into your Bootloader? If it's correct you have to flash a new ROM!
Because your currently ROM is FAILED
I actually got this fixed in case anyone is interested. the 32 gig Sandisk SD card I had installed went bad. I purchased another any everything was working again.

Hello everyone,
I just got done rooting my girlfriends original MyTouch using the Goldcard method. Right now it's fully rooted and running Cyanogen 5.0.8 Test 4 and outside of not reading ringtones off the memory card, it's working great. My only question though is why does it still show the Vodafone logo when you reboot it? I rooted mine when the one touch method first came out and I get the MyTouch logo when you restart. I think I followed the guide to a 'T' but maybe I missed something. Anyone have any input?
Also, would anyone have any reason why my ringtones aren't being noticed of the SD card? After a couple of restarts, a fix permission and some cache wipes it will show the alarms on the card but not the ringtones (and yes they are in the right folder). It is a cheap, nasty 1 GB card until her 8 GB shows up, so maybe that's the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Hello guys, well ima little bit frustrated with my lg gt540 flashed with 2.3.3 rom, with cm7. well the problem here is that my mobila came with 1.6 then i flashed 2.1 to it and the sd card worked well, then when i flashe 2.3.3 it doesnt recognize it, not even let me mount it, but it work fine in the recover mode, i can do backup, and i formated in recovery mode and in the pc, and nothing, so can any one help me? also, it is the sd card that came with the phone, i put another one and like it worked, but it starts to run slower until it can open anything, i removed the other card, and start to work fine, so my problem is a bizarre problem D:

Hi All,
Went to use my NC this morning (running CM7 from uSD card) and found it locked up.
No biggie, just shut it down and powered back up, only to get our buddy the Penguin, as though I'd booted into recovery (although I hadn't). After indicating that it found nothing to install or update, it shut down.
Booted again (still with uSD card in) it entered recovery mode again.
Figuring the card might have been hosed, I put in a backup, created yesterday-same result.
Hmmmm....
I pulled the card and let it boot to the original 1.3 O/S internal. All went well, then I got a quick message that an update was being applied (?). My heart sank, thinking that I'd had 1.4 pushed out to me, and God only knows what that update might do the the NC.
I quickly went to the menu to check the software version, and it still showed 1.3.
I shut it down, replaced the uSD and rebooted.
All is well now.
Any ideas about what might have happened? Anyone else have this experience?
Thanks!
Dan
You would not get a B&N update pushed out while you're booted into CM7. As for what happened.... You said you got a new SD and it fixed it? Perhaps your SD just died?

I wouldn't have thought so, but when I booted into internal memory (no uSD card in place) I got the "updating" notice.
In fact the "new" card (which was a backup of the first) did the same "boot to recovery" as the original.
After the original O/S did its "updating" both cards worked exactly as expected, booting into CM7, and both cards have worked perfectly since.
That's why I'm calling it a "glitch"
The device was apparently "tricked" into booting to recovery and continued to do so from any of my CM7 uSD cards. I went so far as to access the boot menu and make sure that it booted the uSD and did so "normally", yet the penguin kept rearing it's cute little head.
Only allowing the NC to boot into its own O/S, which triggered the phantom "update", fixed the issue.
please help if you can, I have a problem where the phone is regularly rebooting by itself possibly once a day if not more. The problem has occurred since I've bought the phone and cannot return it because my warranty is expired. I have tried many roms and even have the latest official rom but the problem still persists. I'm not sure what it is that's causing it and getting worried to wonder if it's a phone defect. :crying: Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks
Edit: I'm not sure if this could affect the problem in any way, however I also encounter a problem with the Sd card, the phone constantly ( every few hours) comes up with an error message "Sd card unexpectedly removed", I am using a 32 gb Sandisk.

Hi,
What kind of warranty did you have that ran out after a few months?
Look HERE
Try putting everything back to stock, then try again.

Hi I purchased my phone online, so the warranty would not cover any damage done to the phone
Iv'e tried going back to stock but nothing has worked yet, also this problem happened even before I rooted the phone, so I'm not sure what to do

Have you tried to remove the external sdcard and see if the rebooting problem persists?
If after removing the external sdcard the phone no longer reboots then copy anything you want
to save from the external sd to your computer.
After that format the external sdcard using FAT32 using your computer.
If the phone still has the rebooting issue after replacing the external sdcard, then your problem is solved.
(external sdcard is at fault).
