This is my first post on XDA and first attempt on android development/porting
I have corrected the SFM1.1 rom port dialer issue in HtcDialer.apk (must admit that it is just trial and error method)
(Sorry I am still not allowed to add attachment or post links )

Yes that is good idea, but as I said this is my first APP and there is no major change I dont want to release it as the new ROM.
I want to post it in the development thread but dont have permission to do that
Make a flashable zip with just the new dialer, it shouldn't be difficult.
For posting in the Dev Zone, you are going to have to make 10 posts. (No way around this unfortunately). But, this is something that doesn't take time at all. Look at me - Not a dev and still 2500+ posts.

Yep we just cannot silence the man, lol I'm sure 3's brain is attached to XDA servers somehow, the way he can just pluck an answer or thread from thin air is unbelievable.

Yes please share the SMS app because that was the next app I was going to fix You know the more hands the lighter the work. You seem pretty good at this so we should join together in resizing all the apps

it gave me a build prop error
I tried to stay out of this one but its bugging me. Why would you make a ROM *with no experience as you said* and upload for the masses without even making sure it boots. You don't have the phone yes but do you have the emulator or the sdk? I'm just confused.

i had to change out the usr folder from another rom and chaged the update to desirec to make it work, once i did that seemed to load ok and seem to work pretty good , im not a dev but it works

Just take it in stride, a lot of people on here want things asap, but if it doesn't work you'll get grilled for it and can be discouraging..
Keep working on it and try to drown the negatives out, I mean you did give a warning that it was untested at least...

No this is not. Some Chinese Developers have taken this out from One x and have ported it successfully to 480*800 devices and seems to work completely.
Its just that we prove that the Chinese people are ahead to us, cos we cant make use of this.
Hope some senior developer would be surely able to find and know whats this and of what use to HTC, cos those Chinese people went gaga over the same file that I shared here.
Lets hope for the very best.

this only the clock and needs to be applied in the htcclockwidget.apk to replace the files i think.
EDIT: i have extracted the htcclockwidget.apk and i cant find the files i think you need to put this in your theme
This isn't my ROM, I only put it here for sharing purpose. The original thread of this ROM can be found in http://www.angeeks.com/thread-2032875-1-1.html and this ROM has been mentioned in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1528393 by xarive. Kudos for him, and this ROM is an updated version [latest release was in March 22nd]
This ROM is based on CyanogenMod-7.2.0, Android 2.3.7 and Basehand S5830DXKPB and the ROM's owner has removed GApps
How to install:
Do a full wipe (cache, format data and dalvik) and install from CWM 5 Recovery Mode
Known Bugs:
1. GPS doesn't work, but can be fixed by a method from lagloose that can be find in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465402
2. Built in browser always experiencing force close.
3. wifi doesn't work, fix can be found in http://www.angeeks.com/thread-2037146-1-1.html or you can find in the link at the bottom, thanks to hydraprime to mention it

It's alright. I didn't noticed the update because I don't use the ROM anymore. This iPhone ROM is buggy with a lots Chinese words if you select English as your language. That's why I don't like it Anyway, the UI are perfectly modded and if you don't mind there's some chinese words out there, you might try out this.

actually, I found that this version is much more stable than the 18-02-2012 version that put in your post. first time I install the one from your post, I found that foursquare always experiencing fc. so when I flash this version, the first app that I tried is foursquare, and it works. thanks xarive, you are the man! kudos for your post

but its support RTL coz its CM based .. so just add ur font
in system\fonts
( the font name sholud be the same as in CM7 rom)

EDIT: Nevermind, got it. Starting now. BTW it's my first try so don't expect any big things .
EDIT2: Haha, got it booting easily but I expect some FCs . Trying to fix it .
Ok, when I will manage to get all the FCs fixed, I'll provide a link for the ROM (maybe this week-end). In case I can't fix them (because I'm not a developper) I will provide the ROM as-is with the FCs if a dev want to try to fix .
android.process.acore FCs repeatedly and the launcher FC'd 2 times for now .
Hey guys, i've noticed that Wayland had given you a cm10.1 rom and few others are also compiling from his source.
So, Many of you know about the new Photosphere for NEXUS 4, i've tried to compile and modify the add on and made it for our galaxy ace,
I didn't have time for testing because my phone is in service center and will take time to come back,
Please test and report me soon

But then this will most probably work in our mighty ace
INSTALL instructions
1.Reboot to recovery
2.Flash the zip file
3.Reboot the phone

And try this only on 4.2 base roms, i don't think it will work on other roms !
The file is 20mb, so people who want to test need some space in their internal storage !
*Please im not responsible for bricked devices
try at your own risk (Although your device will not get bricked if u flash this, but just in case)
Thanks for your effort. Just wanted to say that the .zip is 20mb so the testers need to make sure they have 20mb+ on /system for this to work. I suggest you add that in first post.

I was thinking they would have atleast 20mb in their storage ,

This mod will not work, have nothing different from this one http://www.slimroms.net/index.php/downloads/all/viewdownload/91-addons-full-packages/973-photosphere, which i already tested.
I modified some things and it works, but photosphere is not working, it only shows up as an option in camera, but when i try to switch to photosphere mode, camera automacally closes.
I'm not a dev, so.. if somebody could help us would be great.
Atached goes the flashable zip, logcat and a screenshot of it.
It does nothing untill now, but if somebody would like to see it, need about to 8MB of free space in /system

Isn't Photosphere closed sourced if Im not wrong? How you compiled it?

What have u changed ? the names in the folder and copy pasted the libs of mako in ace ?
Go see the zip file you have attached man !
I am trying to make it work for ace even tho it doesn't have gyroscope !
JUst changing name doesn't matter,

What didi tell u? i'm not a dev. The thing is you uploaded something that haven't any changes, see for yourself. And yeah, i just made the changes to the zip trully install, differently of yours, that seaches for device mako, manta or tuna in /proc/cpuinfo and the new one also is not going to find "ace" in /proc/cpuinfo, just gt-5830. But ok, i will be happy if you can bring us photosphere, keep it up.

our Ace doesn't have a gyro sensor
Forget about Photosphere for Ace
I paid for an app called photosphere installer from store.. well no results.. it didnt work.. money gone in waste..
Any help how i can get it working?or any similar apps??

I said That Photosphere won't work on Ace as it does not have a Gyro sensor
u didn't read the post before purchasing the app
now u are suffering
So please I advise everyone to please read Carefully and Get Inputs from users as to if a certain mod or app works on ace or not before deciding to pay for it.
