Not a whole lot. Mainly the pro is on verizon and the xprt is on sprint. There are some small differences but i cant recall off the top of my head.
Sent from my MB612 using xda premium
Bigger battery in the XPRT and that's about it apart from the aforementioned carrier differences.
The biggest difference for this audience is that the Pro has much better XDA support (XPRT doesn't even have a forum! Ahem Mods!)
Mike.

so if I have an XPRT, will droid pro roms work on it? I can't find any for the xprt... =/ Thx.

Droid Pro ROMS Will not work on the XPRT due to some difference with the carriers and some subtle hardware differences.
The XPRT does have a dedicated forum on androidcentral and I have posted a deodexed and a themed rom there. Not much.......... but a start.

Can you explain a little more? It's best to give more precise information than post a vauge question. I assume this is for the Droid 2 Global but not sure what it's exactly about. (Does RC mean release candidate for a ROM?)
Sent from my DROID2 using XDA App
I mean like what are the main benefits from upgrading from RC2 to 4?
Sent from my DROID2 GLOBAL using XDA App
Umm, You should be posting this in that ROMs post. Mainly because that post also gives this information:
Code:
Changelog:
RC2 --> RC4
Market issues now fixed
Lots of changes to framework
Media apps are now moto apps; cam, music and gallery
more fine tuning
Please try to keep the clutter down..

You still never said which rom this was for. RC just means release candidate and any rom can have one when you leave out information like that people can't know specifically what you are talking about and this section has people with the D2 the D2 G and the Milestone 2 so being specific is necessary.
I agree this should be posted in the Droid 2 global's Fission thread.(where the context of the question would make the most sense.)

but it is a cdma phone this is the biggest problem because we need GSM module to work, to do this we need GSM drivers compiled for kernel from droidX fw.
So if I flash a fw of droid x in my i9003,then then network would not work but will the rest of the features work?

No I think u will lost your phone. My last suggestion would be Don't do this.

Ok thnx for the reply....
Do you think there will be cm7 support for i9003 in near future?..
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA App
May be in the near future as we get CWM recovery
CM7 is a distant dream, as none of the Devs have adopted this phone. To port CM7 we need a good devs support. Its a hard fact.
but phones like galaxy 5,optimus gt540 and galaxy 3 which are not so popular have cm7 support.... its not fair for us (i9003) owners..
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA App
What about the other phones which have cm7 support....did all of them took this much time to get it.....

The dev's most likely have one, or had one, and could thus support it. Buy them one to support, or stop complaining.
No idea why i'm still reading this forum, the complaining is getting old. :/

Both of you are right, if we need some support we need to donate the phone to devs.

No There are 3 ways:
1. Become developer
2. Donate the phone to developer
3. Wait for Samsung
Sent from my GT-I9003
If we are taking about CM7, samsung cannot help and becoming dev over night is not easy, to port custom firmware. St the max we can port a theme out an application.

Hey guys, just lurking around the web looking for things to waste my money on when I found this
http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/Phones/cell-phone-detail.aspx?cell-phone=Samsung-Exhibit-II-4G
Honestly, I'm using that phone right now and I'm telling you its not really worth it software wise. Touchwiz just isn't optimized for qualcomm processors. It lags it and hangs up on every little action. Hardware is awesome but software, not so much.

Do you know who the people are? Is there somewhere we can go to check on how they are doing? Surely our heroes are discussing their progress somewhere.
I (along with others, I'm sure) would like to be kept in the loop--that's all.

I'm new to Android development, but I'm a software engineer with Linux experience and lots of spare time for the next few weeks. If you and your friends would like my help, I'd be happy to assist. All I would need is a point in the right direction for something to investigate.

Is the reason we can't sbf back to an earlier version because of a locked bootloader? If so is there a way to repack the older sbf with the new signatures? Enabling us to go to a rootable version.

I know this forum is mostly dead and people have moved on from the Droid X, but it's still a great phone for those on Verizon MVNO providers.
I've been using LiquidICS v1.62 posted over at rootzwiki for a few weeks and it's the best ICS ROM for the Droid X available. Very stable and good battery life.
It would be nice if you didn't have to visit multiple forums to find out the best ROMs for older devices. XDA used to be the place to go but not apparently for older devices. Sad...
