[Q] anyone buy their galaxy note from bestnydepot.com?

really wanting to purchase a Note stateside, and i refuse to wait for at&t to get their act together on that front... i was wondering if anyone has purchased said item (or any item for that matter) from bestnydepot.com , just wary about getting scammed out of my hard earned cash... can anyone tell me if this is a reputable business?

I would trust me far more, than most scammers/scam websites out there..

I would be very very very very careful dealing with bestnydepot, I wouldn't trust them with my CC.

I called bestnydepot after wondering the exact same thing. I talked to the representative on the phone, and he stated that the price is accurate, but that they just happened to run out of stock earlier that day and would not have more coming in for another 2-3 weeks. Riiiight.
Needless to say, I ordered from L2D2 half an hour later. The price is still fantastic and I gain the peace of mind knowing that I'm dealing with a much more reputable company.

So far so good. I have not got my unit yet but I ordered it on Friday afternoon thinking it would not ship until Monday but later that day received a tracking number showing Tuesday. So from a processing time perspective I give them excellent service. I will let you know how it goes when the product arrives.

Wait, you ordered it Friday afternoon? I'm assuming before 1 PM EST, right? I'm asking because I ordered it on Friday as well, but at around 5 PM EST.
Also, I'm incredibly glad to hear that you got a tracking number. I was worried that they would try to pull the whole 'take your money now and ship the phone when we get it in stock' deal.

Yep, ordered it at 2:30 and got the tracking number slightly before 6. As long as its a Note in the box and not a brick, I will be happy.

Arrggh, if only I had known of L2D2 earlier that afternoon. Oh well, I decided to pay $15 for UPS 2 Day shipping, so it should be in my hands by Wednesday.
I'm sorry, did I say 'should'? I meant to say it'd BETTER. I'M FOAMING AT THE MOUTH HERE ARGGHH. After all, I didn't pay extra for tardiness.

I gave L2D2 a call and they said any order made over the weekend has stock and they're shipping mine out today. If you call them, they can look it up by name and maybe even make you an account so you can check it yourself.

Thanks for the advice. I called them up just now and they told me it would be shipped out later this evening. If you chose UPS, the pick up time is usually around 5:30-6 PM EST.

Ah, that's good to hear; in our minds, nothing is quite as important right now as getting that phone in our hands . It looks like our shipments are going to be racing each other! Since I paid for two day air shipping, though, I'm fully expecting to have the phone on Wednesday, regardless of when it's getting picked up.

USPS says priority should get here on wednesday, thursday if the pickup time it later... the race is on!!!

Avoid DailySteals!!!

I ordered an EVO View 4G from DailySteals during the liquidation sale and got an empty box. I emailed them and got no response and their phone number directs you to email them.
I just won my PayPal dispute but wanted to warn others about their practices to help someone else avoid my troubles. Now off to scour eBay for a View close to what I got back from them.

I ordered a NEW Nexus S from them. Came out just what I expected. Even the factory screen protectors were there. IMHO DailySteals is a legitimate site which sells items at huge discounts. Hopefully it works out for you because I had luck with them in the past. Oh and when I emailed them when it would ship they replied 24 hours later saying it just shipped.

Well I am glad it worked out for you but a lot of reviews state the site is bad news, I didn't find them until I started having problems with them. Maybe it was a mistake but the fact they ignored countless emails day after day just seems wrong to me.

Yeah if I was in your same situation I would of acted the same way. When I looked at the reviews when I was thinking about buying the Nexus S, all the reviews were good except for the fact that shipping was slow. GL.

yea i ordered nexus s and it was legit. Maybe they did a mistake or something.

I believe that Dailysteals acts as a middle man or liquidation service...
I have ordered from them and got the item in 3 days, and I have ordered from them and it took 14 days.

I order items from them all the time, and their affiliate icemonkey, never an issue. Most things take a while to get here.

Haven't had an issue. Support is slow, shipping is slow, but my package arrived in condition as described.

I ordered the htc view on the 16th and mine still has not shipped. Am calling my credit card company by friday if i dont get legit tracking.
They no longer reply to emails phone or chat.
But they sure as hell are still selling items everyday.
They are scammers.
What they do is committ to sell and ship items without knowing how many theybcan even get. Then when they cant get enough they wont tell you in hopes that you just go away and only respond once you file a claim.

That's pretty absurd to be honest. What seems far more likely and logical is that they deal with a 3rd party supplier. There have been cases where they over sold an item, but I've never heard of someone not getting their money back.
And do you people think you are the only ones who buy from them? They sell HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of items a day for suppliers who are likely over seas. This kind of activity takes TIME and PEOPLE and most of that is likely out-sourced... guess where... over seas!
Also remember, you don't get tracking till it's in the country. Only super expensive 3rd party shipping get tracked from over seas.
It's like Wal-Mart. I hate that place because there are a million people there at all hours of the day and most of them are pieces of garbage in one form or another. That's my opinion, I'm entitled to it. Know what I do though? I DONT GO TO WALMART.

your rant would be valid if they stated their shipping and handling times. i haven't gone to their web-site, but i'm sure they don't state it's gonna take forever (i.e. more than 1 week) to ship.

One week isn't that long to piece everything together. You get amazing deals if they have what you're looking for

On their website they say that usually their shipment is done with in 6 working days. I have ordered BT handfree from them on 28th Dec. It should start shipment today. Let's see what happens.

They ship from the united states, from New York city actually. They will not contact you and like someone said they won't do anything until you file a paypal dispute

Only 10days off from the said Nov 4th release.
In that case tmobile should start taking preorders Nov 1st. That would be 2 weeks before launch. I believe they did the same amount of time with the note 4.
Now if we could get a price that would be nice. Either way im going to do my best to get it day one.

I know ebay will.
If people buy them and pay in full they can get the unlock code that same day.
I did that with my note 3. I got it from the tmobile store and paid in full and i was able to ask for the unlock code online.
So i bet you will see them on ebay a week after release for $100 to $200 more then tmobile site plus shipping.

I doubt amazon will have any. I don't see any third party sites having them, best buy, radio shack, etc... There have been reports if only 1 more llion devices to be released due to strict protype details and this is basically a marketing scheme. Now I can't wait. I want the N4 bad, but I'm liking the NEdge.
I also don't see many carriers having them in store either. Looks more like a preorder thing. Unless they do an Apple and only release at stores for the hype and line build.

I have no clue. I dont jump on my side. I was going to use my EIP credit to get the phone and then sell my note 3 on ebay.
My girls line has JUMP! When i last talk to Tmobile they said that you must have paid at lest 50% of your phone off. They will take your old phone and give you 50% of the priced of the phone when you brought it. and that would be credited towards your new phone.
NOw that is for a normal trade. I dont know who it would work for Pre-orders tho.
If you got a tmobile account just get online and do an online chat and ask about using jump on a preorder phone. Dont tell them up front about the note edge or they will tell you they dont have any information on it.
I did a chat with tmobile a few minutes ago about preordering the note edge and they just said they dont have any information but to watch the page as it will be updated soon.

I talked to t-mobile yesterday and he told me pre orders will start on 11/10 and should be in store on to sell on the 11/14.Im going to pre order even though the release is only 4 days from the 10th just to make sure I get one.Icant wait been waiting for this since the unpacked samsung event.I was checking every day every couple hours for news on this beast (lol).The only problem I'm having now is deciding on white or black, leaning towards white.

I'm interested in the Note Edge as well but I'm really hoping T-Mobile will have pre-ordering online.
Also, I'm kind of scared about how some people who have it in other regions are experiencing lag. The Note 4 has been receiving decent reviews and nobody has been mentioning any lag so since the Note Edge is basically a Note 4 with an edge screen, you would think the performance would be about the same.

Good to know. I check the page almost ever hour lol. I just dont trust them to email me fast enough I wouldnt want it to be sold out.
Ive been thinking about the white. I got a white note 3 and it just looks better then the black model.

Hope That's true I spoke to them yesterday for a half hour , and just got off the phone , I asked for retention so could get to talk to someone who really knows what there talking about not some parrot reading off of a computer screen , which is what I got yesterday , I hammered the question about 5 times about being able to pre order , even went as far as saying I know someone who pre ordered , (which was a little white lie to see what he would say) and he insisted that there was not not and never will be a preorder on that phone , seeing as how the will be on store shelves in 8 days not sure what help pre ordering or how much faster you would get your hands on the phone sooner then 8 days , I really hope you are correct and I was totally misled , guess we'll see Monday ........:good:

I believe the price is going to be in the 900 $ range ..plus tax , screen protector and case , this will probably be the most expensive phone sold the general public ever , I believe your going to pay aroung 1,000 when all is said and done , hope I'm wrong but that's what my research is telling me...

Yea I got the price range its said to be 850 to $870 plus tax.. Its not the highest I paid for a phone tho lol.
I brought a sony p990 which cost about $1100 some years ago.
And I already order me a screen protector and silicone case. Should be here right before the phone. The cases were $2 each and screen protector $4.

Also some have said tmobile will start preorder on the 10th but who knows, all we know is it will be released the 14th

I also hope Tmobile does online preorders because I don't want to go from store to store seeing if they have any in stock and taking the chance that they may already be sold out by the time I get to each store.

I must say my Edge seems way more smoother than my Note 4. Obviously Edge has the Exynos processor, and Note 4 has Snapdragon. My main concern right now is high RAM usage, I only have around 350MB free ram. Hope Samsung does something to improve this. The good news is that, I haven't had any issues of the device heating up at all so far which is great!

I just dropped by a local corporate store and they had no info on pre orders.
I even went to att since I read somewhere that on the 7th they would have a demo phone. They didn't have one. I was told that 11-17 is the release date.

T-Mobile shipped out my Note Edge today and I'll have it on Monday. I've got the Note 4 now, but I wanted something different.
Does anyone know if the Edge has been rooted yet? Any plans underway? Thanks!

must be some kind of mistake. when i placed my order it said next day air with expedited shipping for a delivery date of today. Monday is not what i signed up for. i havent received any tracking info and my account shows order status as back ordered; however, if i dont see this phone today tmobile will be hearing from me and i will not only be getting refunded the shipping with a free case, but im going to cancel my 8 year family plan with them.

Your post is not helpful, and nobody cares if you cancel your family plan (except maybe your family, have fun dealing with them).

My post was a QUESTION about ROOT. I ordered the device yesterday, so getting it Monday is fine. You clearly did not read my post, you just posted whatever you wanted.

I was one of the first few to purchase the 4gb/64gb model when the sale went live. (If the counter on the site was correct.) I received a tracking number from them last night for Singapore Post. Assuming it isn't a bogus number, it looks like they are shipping them out.

Nothing yet, 20 hours to cancel and a string of polite emails to the eeller requedting updates. It loos like they did not have the number of units they promised and want to get away with a with it.

i got mine shipped a day before time expiration. wish you luck!

Mine had just been shipped as well. I went with the DHL option so it should get here within the next 4-5 days.

They waited for the last day to ship it, and didn't respond to my questions. I ordered it with ups expedited (3-7 days) and the tracking number they gave me doesn't work. So i believe it's a fake number and they don't have shipped it out yet. It was supposed to be my first android phone
But anyways anybody who gets it please post it here so we know it's real because everything screams scam on this order, so we know it's real

They say they have already shipped mine too. The fact that your TN does not work is because tracking systems need about 3/4 days to update. This is not the worry.
Could you people say if your TN is of origin Malaysia???
Mine is like RCxxxxxxxxxMY. This *could* be OK if they are shipping from manufacturer and not from China as usual, but one never knows.

I thought UPS updates it's tracking system right away. My tracking number doesn't have an prefix or sufix like yours it's all numbers and a few letters here and there. But I really hope it's shipped at least because there are rumors that ASUS can't supply the orders for some countries like France because it hasn't produced that much units.
Edit: I just received an update that the Order is Processed: Ready for UPS. So that's good news

i don't think they are scammers i think they are legit... from my experience at least...

Received shipping notification last night.
I ordered mine one hour after they started selling them at the special discounted rate. Because I paid for the ZF2 quickly, I qualified to receive a free gift. They said they will also be sending me a Silicon Case and Screen Protector.
They sent me a Singapore Post (singpost.com) tracking number. I just tried checking that tracking number and it currently isn't available and can take up to 24 hours to be available for tracking.
