hi all,
i have a toshiba tg01 for swap for htc hero.
the tg01 is essentially a hd2 in a different skin, great phone, just not for me anymore
phone is immaculate, zero scratches and complete box with all original bits and bobs
looking for a quick swap, based in essex, united kingdom (right near lakeside shopping center)
pm me for offers
**other android phones considered
I got mine changed by Orange, the three replacement tg01's they sent *all* had the same problem - low / no mic volume.
Eventually talked to someone who offered a replacement choice of three different phones, one was Hero, smiles all round.
Worth trying

Hi,
I have been using LEO more than 1 year and I was very happy with it. But I faced with many problems with my LEO in last 2 months. I never used any costom roms during first one year. Generally I carried it in my back pocket (now I suggest you, don't do that.) . 2 months ago it reset itself and restarted like first start of winmo, it prepare itself for first use. I lost many data at that point , then I think that this was a chance to try custom roms and android. I load a custom rom and android in SD card, all was ok for a few days, but then I started get SODs and WSODs several times in a day. I apply many things that I learned from this forum ( by the way thanks everybody really I learned many many things about HD2) task 29, task 2a, auto backlight off, hard reset, soft reset, original ROm loading etc etc:
What I have done when I got SOD,
-remove battery,
-place battery,
-Then sometimes it worked as expected but more times I got WSOD,
-when I got WSOD (at the begining installing custom rom via usb were ok but last 2 weeks it wasn't enough) then I perform task 2a, tak 29, then I install original ROM from SD card,
-then I perform HSPL,
-install radio (generally 2.14.50...)
-install costum rom
-then all become ok.
But then a few hours later I got SOD again
I suddenly realize that when HD2 a litle bit bended ( like in my pocket when I was walking) SOD occured. I observed a litle more than I decide to dissasemble HD2( because it has no warranty ), I couldn't find any cable or connector losen. It is strongly possible that Main board defected while in my pocket.
I searched forum and I find one who has same problem and he/she replaced Mainboard then he/she never get SOD anymore.
So please help me where can I buy a mainboard for HD2? I prefer buy it online, because I am sure that I can't buy it in Turkey.
Thanks for your help.
you are going to have to google that one or send your phone to htc for repairs
i dont think you can get hold of one other than from htc themselves!
i also put my hd2 in my back pocket...it fits perfectly doesn't it ?

yeap it fits perfectly,
I sent it to service, 2 days later they sent me a text message " mainboard defective, it have to be replaced and its cost will be 450 USD" ofcourse I reject it. So I have only one possible solution: selling it for parts on ebay or local online shopping pages.
By the way thank you.

If you bought your htc from UK, ok you have warranty in UK. But in my case I bought it when I was in US, then I came back to Turkey, and my phone hasn't warranty in Turkey and I will not visit US in the near future.
If you know someone in the UK theres this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HTC-HD2-Mobile-Phone-Screen-Cracked-/130452670122?pt=UK_MobilePhones_MobilePhones&hash=item1e5f95c6aa
Or

You can get one from HTC
More real modality is to buy from eBay a damaged T8585 for parts (i.e. with damaged sensor but able to boot and make calls).
i bought my HTC HD2 motherboard from gadgetsaving.com and it work perfect. they had it for the lowest price on the net. shipping was fast and the motherboard came with a 7 day money back

Would be a good idea if the site wouldn't take me all the way to check out, asked to enter a country and a region, then proceeded to tell me they only ship in USA and Canada.
I am also looking for motherboard, had been looking for quite some time too, I check eBay and such regularly, but it all comes to the seller's unwillingness to send to New Zealand. Willing to pay $85, but nobody is willing to send
Despite what some people are saying you can not buy parts directly from HTC themselves.
Excerpt from HTC repair website:
Q: Can I just buy the parts and fix my own phone?
A: We do not sell any parts directly. Link found here.
Your best bet would be to price match parts and seller reviews from Ebay and Google.
Try eBay people sell there's for parts
U need send me pm
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda app-developers app
Howdy guys,
I'm in Madrid for a year and my digitizer gave out (just got a new HD2 a few months ago). I need to get it fixed locally and quickly!
Any tips?
Hey man,
I live in Compostela and I am considering sending my htc hd2 to the uk to repair the usb port.. Do you know of any repair shop in Spain? Maybe thephonehouse will do the trick..
Anyways, the repair shop I'll be sending mine to is uk-repair.com. They seem legit.
Good luck!
Hello guys,
Unfortunately i' ve dropped my nexus 7 and my screen broke. Touch screen and volume buttons doesn't work... warranty doesn't cover the accidental damage, so... i' ve heard that it costs 50€+transport+reparation cost (If i' m correct). Is there any seller in Europe that sells nexus 7 screens? Or maybe i should bring it to ASUS?
If i' ll repair it by myself it' ll be cheaper, but i don't know how to fix the buttons.. Any suggestions?
Hi,
I have same problem. It costs lot more than 50€. In US cost replacement screen 130-150$ so it's easyer to buy new one and keep old one for replacemet parts.
Hi friends, i bought this desire z mobile 3 months ago. but now i messed up with the screen ribbon cable , the digitizer and even in software part too :crying:

if you cant sell it, its afine... just give it to me for free ..please am in need of a spare dz and am poor to buy it too :crying:
there is nothing free in the wild , boy.
The parts are available on ebay for rather cheap. Especially when there are guides available (Google is your friend).
Yup, you can get the digitizer for like 10 buck w/ shipping (kinda crapy one, got one myself, but it works ) and the ribbon cable will run you another 10-15 bucks, shipping included. I would advise in picking up the fresh adhesive (lcdfix on ebay sells them for 3-4 bucks). Disassembly and reassembly is a bit annoying, but there is a certain satisfaction when you re-animate your phone .
