"There can never be a"best" or "fastest" ROM"
Calling a rom the best or fastest is your opinion, I'm simply asking for your opinions.

You need to read that thread properly. It doesn't matter what people's opinions are, the ROM which most people pick will not necessarily suit you. And if you wan't people's opinions, why bother creating a new pointless thread when you can:
1. Read the BILLIONS OF OTHER THREADS asking this same question.
2. Read the comments on each thread of each ROM.
3. If you really can't be arsed, just look at the number of views that thread has.
4. Try each ROM for itself. This is the only surefire way of deciding the 'best' ROM for you.

This is the sort of thing I mean. I personally HATE sense 3.5 but love sense 3.0.

why is 3.0 better ?
have all rom´s testet an 3.0 ca. 1 month at my hd2 und i love 3.5.
its raelly faster then 3.0
and the options are better.
have you testet 3.5 or 3.0 ?

I'm not saying you're wrong, just demonstrating a point. My opinion is, having tested both, that Sense 3.0 is superior to 3.5. Your opinion is that Sense 3.5 is the best, and that's perfectly fine. Just goes to show that there is nobody who can say what the 'best ROM' is.

nobody can tell you "best rom ever" every user´s love different features
have you problems with 3.5 ? i have a fail if a make a call it lost the conection and the call stop.
hope 1.2 is my prob. fixed

Try SENSE 3 PYRAMID V6.0 ROM. You'll love that if you are a person who like SENSE. I'm using it now and I love that ROM.

i googled what AOSP was and it stands for Android Open Source Project.
I'm thinking of switching to it myself, because i've seen alot of nice things comming out of it, so in my opinion it's best.
look on the forums and if you see something like CyanogenMod - look into it.
check the thread in my signature
As much as cm7 is popular the thing I don't like is that Rom manager is included with it, but doesn't work on the hd2. I may be mistaken about that, but I never did get it to work. I prefer gingerbread look and lower screen density on my phone and use hyperdroid. It all up to what each person likes I suppose.
It's all a matter of personal opinion man. Try them all out for a day or 2 and determine which one you like the best.

Well, in your other thread you were talking about the iphone. Why not try MIUI? There are several fast and stable builds and looks very similar to the iphone with icons i think you may prefer. I have tested Ladyboo's build most recently and it is very stable.
Hi, Koolxx, you will find one in this thread

hi, shuka. i checked out MIUI and it looks too basic and a bit nerdy. but i will be installing gingerbread 2.3.4. i just want it to look like imilka's gingerbread. the problem with imilka's gingerbread is that its got cam issues. and i need my cam to work 100%. so, i want gingerbread 2.3.4 but to look like imilka's phone.

Go youtube HTC HD2 Android ROMs or similar and look at newer entries. Great way to see the different ROMs in action and decide what you like. As is any thread with "best phone" or "best ROM" it all comes down to user preference.

[Q] Most Optimized Gingerbread ROM for HD2?

Let me preface this by saying I am not trying to start a "What is the best ROM" thread. My question is simple. Of the many Android ROMs available for the HD2, which is the most optimized and stable Gingerbread ROM? Furthermore, is there some sort of CM7 port for the HD2?
+1
Anyone help !?
After testing several Roms on my retired Leo, my best experience was with HyperdroidGBX. Very very fast, good battery life and overall an excellent ROM.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
Personally, I've used NDT MIUI for a quite some time, it's not for everyone I guess, but you could always use a different launcher. It's never given me problems, and it runs smooth as silk
Before MIUI I was a hyperdroid fanboy though, both are excellent roms

I'm sorry but rephrasing the "What is the best ROM" question doesn't make it any different...U didn't even take d time out to check out the Android dev threads, cuz if u did then u surely would have seen not 1 but 2 threads featuring cm7 ports for the HD2....U won't get any real help here cuz we all use our phones differently, wats cool for me might not be cool for u so go out there and flash...flash..flash...Flashing is much safer & far easier than before with the help of CWM...Look @ screenshots & read devs/user posts on wat works and doesn't...Find d ROM dat suits U & U alone....XDA is a development site, so show some effort & u'll be rewarded.
By all means, start here.

I'm sorry but I really didn't want people's personal preferences on ROM's. When I meant the most optimized Gingerbread ROM, I meant the most optimized ROM. Not talking about features, looks or anything else. Just the smoothest one that runs Gingerbread. I also apologize that I didn't look around the forums enough to find the CM7 port thread. I'm still learning my way around these forums and I have very little knowledge regarding these ROMs and such but I will do my best to look for relevant threads.

Hyperdroid GBX is the fastest and smoothest Gingerbread Rom, for the HD2

I'm very happy with hyperdroid as well, but I did have to change the pixel density from what the rom comes with... way too squinty
once you try Typhoon cm7 you wont ever use another rom but his

I base my own tests on how good gun bros runs on the roms i have tested and till now only NexusHd2- from tytung runs this game without any problems. All other roms failed. It may be that i am doing something wrong but is very unlikely.
I've tried CM7 nightlies and tytung's rom, both have issues last I checked (last week). Tytung build seemed great, but just had the phone app lockup/issue mid-call (perhaps it's fixed by now).
I settled on Tyween's TyphooN CM7 "nightly" build, and have had no issues at all since the install.

[Q] Best Hd2 Android rom out there

What is the best htc hd2 android rom out there with sense working and is stylish smooth and quick
There is no 'best' one. Try them all and see which suits you best
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
I advise you NOT to get the 4.X Roms because they still are not optimized enough and don´t have "functions" that are worth getting for!
Try to look for cyanogen7 mods on 2.3.X roms
THe best so far I found was dorimanx rom but it is unstable atm (installing apps result in crash)
To distinguish better, here try this website

Hi simadams the link in your "shortlist this one" post is dud can repost to tell me which rom and version it is
HyperDroid is the best. I've tried all Sense ROMs, they're all not fast enough for me.
Sense is BS most of the time.
this is the one I use
[20.Feb.2012] NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.3-CM9 V1.4 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434860)... its great... but there are some small glitches... like I can'e edit the contacts from the default People app, I can send MMS (could be my configuration problem), cant change the default app once I check the box in the pop up, battery performance is poor (lasts only 12-15hrs)...
But its really smooth and fully functional...
Why can't one search the forum before asking this Question !!!!!!!!!!!
I am sure there are more than 10 threads with the same question..
whats the best ROM is a lot like asking whats the best flavor ice cream. (butter pecan personally) lol. The point is whats the best in our, the communities eyes don't always match up with one another. This is because what i want on my ROMs you may not and vise versa. The more details you give the better someone may point out a ROM they like that they might feel you will enjoy too.
If you want something a little older thats really fast and reliable one might point out RAFDROID HD. If you want something a little newer maybe running Gingerbread i would suggest CoreDroid GB. If you want sense 3.0/3.5 i feel Team Blue Droid V3.6 runs pretty smooth and they have a themed version under development. I would check out youtube and type in HD2 roms. Watch a few and try and get an idea of what your looking for. There is a great site found here that list many of the Android ROMs for the HD2. It tells you some basic info about each one like if it has sense, what build and when it was updated. Take awhile looking over each one and read some of the comments in that thread to try and get an idea of what you'll be getting. Hopefully then you'll be able to make a great choice on the perfect ROM for you.

[Q] Best Sense Rom (with android 4.0)

hi everyone Desire Z owners! i hope to not duplicate a post already written but at the moment search button do not work
I'm using Mimicry 1.5.0 (android 4.0.4 AOSP) and it's a great rom, fast and stable but i'm looking for a new rom with Sense 3.5/4.0/4.1 UI and android 4 under the hood
what's the best Sense rom at the moment?
i've seen some rom with sense ui, for example:
[ROM][Nov 12] Blackout ICS Incredible v3.2 As Good as It Gets Ed. [4.0.4][Sense 3.6]
[ROM][04/11/12] Gen.Y VisionX R3 (ICS 4.0.3 | Sense 4.0A |
[ROM][9/06/12]|FULL Sense 4.0| Sense Revolution R4|Themed
[ROM][21/10/12]Ice Cream SENSEwich 2.0 FINAL |Sense 4.1|ICS|4.0.3|
What's the best for stability, battery and fluidity? Thanks to all that will replay
best sense rom
trickdroid or sensewich
they both run very smooth but I'm not sure which one has the best battery life.
trickdroid is a very fast rom but there are some problems with the tweaks.(do not flash the tweaks)
sensewich is very stable and fast rom with no problems. I would recommend to try them both.
link for trickdroid = http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1981059
I hope this helped you (sorry for my bad english)
I like te Gen.Y ROM. Its alright. not my choice as a daily driver but if you want a good sense 4 experience, this ROM is pretty good. Or an even better ROM, Mimicry 1.5 is really smooth. Not a sense ROM, but pretty good ROM
Oh look, another one of these threads.
Wait. The search button didn't work? What kind of an argument is that? It'd be better if you just waited till it "worked" and then search for threads. And hell, even then you could just go over to the development section and check the ROM list, then pick a ROM. And another one, and another one. This is all trial and error. What works for me may not work for you, end of story.
I don't mean to offend you, and sorry if I did, but it's very annoying to see people still ask the same darn question over and over again, no matter how many times it's been said not to do so...
