I just want to know if MIUI ROM will be possible to be flashed to x8 now that bootloader was unlocked?
No.
Miui requires armv7 for gods sake

AFAIK, our devs could port it if they had MIUI´s source code, but the MIUI devs don´t release it.
There is already a MIUI ROM for the X8, but not everything is working.
As an alternative, flash a CM7 ROM, download an MIUI theme for the Theme Chooser and apply it.

Is it possible to port it to X8?
Yes it is and I doubt would be too dificult.
u can use adw launcher on 2.2.1 rom
Using ADW with MIUI themes.
That just a theme. MIUI is a customize Android like CM. To get MIUI need very telented programer/coder. Big X10 has MIUI ROM.

I'd read somewhere that MIUI ROM is build for HDPI devices like X10. To port it to MDPI device like x8, it would take a lot of work.
It is said that someone has done that ..keep on searchinig.
There is a thread about the subject in the development section.

I use the OXYGEN 2.3.7 by DevSwift rom and he has no theme chooser.
Can I somehow install the theme chooser to it?
TNX
No.
Sent using Tt.
it is a aosp rom only cm roms have that. devswift is planning to put one in the rom in the next release
Is there anyone trying to port it? It seems very nice.
Maybe someone could port MIUI V4 based on the Aurora ics rom by dzo.

I just wonder is it worth the trouble yet? I mean I'd love to have Miui V4 on U8800, but not until we have one fully working ICS rom first which the new Miui could be based on.
Dzo's Aurora ICS is nearly full working.
I got no responses on my thread asking the same question. One person had tried with a guide on the internet but had no luck. I think our best shot would be to adapt stockwell's script with DZO's aurora code and kernel and port one of the desire Z miui v4 roms. Miui AU has already got a v4 port for the desire Z and I am sure others do too.
The only thing I think is perhaps worth taking into account is that MIUI based on 2.3 is stable as a rock, but judging by the huge changelogs from miui v4, it is still in an active development stage, so it is not likely to be very stable at the moment.
You know, MIUI made an official porting script, it should be available on GitHub. Adapt that with stockwell's script, use newer libraries and kernel from dzo and it should be good.

Tried it but didn't get too far ( = bootloop). I'm sure it would be a walk in the park if you actually knew what you're doing. That being said, I wouldn't hurry with Miui V4 port, two ROMs put together which are still at beta stage = Windows 98.
If stockwell didn't leave, we may have MIUI V4 now.
While I'd love a MIUI V4 port, imo dzo's ICS Aurora is awesome as it is. The few features I miss from MIUI v2 I'll get over...
HOWEVER if there are any takers on porting it (and hopefully sticking with it!), I'd be willing to donate...
thank you very much
Anyone try this...it's easy i wanna give it a try but for u8800pro not the u8800!!
I cross my fingers for its success in creating MIUI v4 for U8800 and thanks dzo for his hard and very effective work
Ok, I think the title is clear enough but, I'd like to know if there are any MIUI ROMs for the Motorola Defy Plus with a 2.3 (GB) Kernel. Thing is, I have Quarx's CM9 on Multiboot but I'd love to try ICS MIUI on it, but I understand I have to flash Froyo Kernel but don't know what would that do to my CM9 I'm so in love with.
I've searched all the threads on xda and the web but I haven't been able to find what I'm looking for.
Thanks!
Unfortunately Currently there is no miui build that works on gb kernel.

Thanks for the reply! Is there another rom that I should try? I don't really know about another interface for 4.0 but it would surely be great if there were one.
Edit: I have another question, is there a way to install a froyo kernel on multiboot so i can keep cm9 (GB) on my default boot? I already have multiboot but I'm not sure if flashing wiui, for example, will damage the other rom.
Look at the miui ics thread by sesme

Well as far as I know multi boot requires same kernel for the roms. I don't know if any recent development has changed it. You may check multi boot thread.

Hi,
I'm new here on xdadevelopers and I wanna ask you if you wanna have an AOSP Rom for the LG Optimus L3. I own an E400 and I made a Custom Rom on AOSP ICS 4.0.4 base and I wanna publish it here.
Do you want to have a Custom Rom on Vanilla Android 4.0? Write your opinion!

Yeah Thanks Custom Roms are really cool... So I worked on it because I hate LGs User Interface...
So I made a Rom on Maclaw`s AOSP and I think it will be good enough for daily use. It has a few bugs but it isn`t very important.
You can use Suxsem Android 4.0 Kernel and it will be great You can download it tomorrow! I hope hat you will not brick your device while flashing. I prefer to wipe and Format everything but emmc and sdcard. Then you mount system in cwm and flash the Rom and you will geht a fresh installed AOSP Vanilla Android 4.0 Whats your ROM? Can I download it anywhere? I take everything but Android Kang Project Unicorn and MIUI
Yeah you can find it in android development section here..the name is Iphonoid...the current version now is 2.0 but i will upload soon the 3.0 (one for sdmerge users and one for sdmerge non-users) with new features
