Ok, So I did unlock my bootloader, I was on MIUI , running perfectly, Did a nandroid backup and flashed Spaarcs Gingervillan for unlocked bootloader, I forgot to wipe everything and now all I see is X10 and no status bar, Can't go further, Installed the 3.0G FW Kernel from Doom to get xrecovery back as it wouldn't go into recovery but after flashing it still doesn't work, Baisically, XRecovery not working, Stuck on front screen, Can't do anything else. Can someone help me get xrecovery back? I tried the kernel WITH xRecovery installed into it but it still freezes at the xperia logo

I've recently bricked my phone and it boots to the yellow exclamation of death, im subject to a monthly qouta by my ISP, so i cant download the flash tool(over 200 mbs), first of all i tried companion, i keep getting "download error please check your internet connection" i tried over 30 times but no luck......then tried SEUS, all i get in the end is "Your software is upto date" and ONLY the exit button (other ppl report that they do have a re-install button or restore to factory default button, i have none, is there a way to activate them?)........what should i do?
Edit: Pc companion's repair function used to worked before and i used it to unbrick my x10 a week ago
The reason you get the dowload error is because you flashed an X10i rom on your X10a. Use step 5 in the longer root method to flash an X10a rom and the dowload will work again.

i have an x10i, i am running the stock over the air upgrade, i never flashed any roms on it(upgraded the phone when i got it from companion from the SE servers), i did the 5second root method and the way i bricked it was i used the LCD density changer without busybox
just to clear something out, i got my phone unlocked from an independent store for ~$500, so im running STOCK fw 26, it has never been flashed by any rom, and the brick happened with when i tryed using the LCD density changer but didnt have busybox installed
Ok, you should still be able to us step 5 in the newbie guide to rooting thread.

I m on tripnmiui latest version n locked bl . I was thinking of trying a different rom but I just found out that my xrecovery isn't working. Pressing back several times or installing the dooms app did not help. I don't understand what has gone wrong. If any1 has an idea it'll be greatly appreciated.

Happened to me before on trips roms, and I was like"WTF!!!" who knows what he did to it when he changed xRecovery into his on TripNMIUI. Now he's gone for good. Never trusted his work.
You can try flashtool 0.2.91 GB ready and install xRecovery there. Connect your phone and ask Root permissions, grant access and install xRecovery.

Hi all,
i had installed cyanogen mod on my defy and all was perfect.
After that i tried to install defy_recovery-1218-0326-signed.apk and it says that was installed successfully.
I tried to boot in recovery mode and when i power up the phone it stays on the initial logo forever (cyanogen mod 7..).
I tried to flash my version founded here sbf.droid-developers org but it make the same things on boot...
What should I do?
Please help me, i bought that phone yesterday!

yeah, i tried it now, i didn't know this method and it works...
But sorry man, what version should i install? Now I have 2.3.6 (i don't know why, it's the only version that work that i tried) but i would like to install Cyanogen Mod V7...
Can you explain me what should i do? Thank you very mutch!
So you flashed and 2.3.6 sbf? Do you have a Defy+ or a normal defy?
If you have a normal defy and you have a green lense, you can't use your camera anymore (kernel limitation) even not on CM.
To install CM7, download a Defy+ nightly (even if you have a normal defy, cause you are on defy+ kernal) form here: http://www.defy-cm.net/
You must not use defy_recovery-1218-0326-signed.apk any more.
Use 2nd init form: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1032212
When you have installed 2nd init: reboot, wait for blue led, press volume up,go to custom recovery, install the zip downloaded earlier.
But to install 2ndInit i have to get the root permission, how can i do it? With oneClick it doesn't work....
Yes I have the Defy MB525...
EDIT:
yeah, i get root permission and i installed 2ndinit but what should i do to get into recovery mode? I don't understand
RE-EDIT: I had to press power down button, not up...
I did the same mistake on my Moto defy ... did you get it to boot back up and if so how ? Ty to whom ever helps

Yeah it doesn't get past the HTC screen when I try to boot it, I've tried everything, it unrooted and stock right now. I can't use adb but I can use fastboot, I've tried the T-Mobile updates and ruu but nothing helps. I don't know what else to try.
Well I tried u change my rom nd got hard brick.i was in Froyopro n I flashed prime hd for stock without wiping data and now only sony ericson logo appers and den reboot again n again....i can't enter into any recovery (x or cmw)..now how to flash another rom (i haven't unlocked my bootloder)

Use PC Companion. It sill ask you to connect ur phone, but there an option "repair phone" (or something else) in the text. Hit that, and there is the repair. After repair, root again, and flash the rom.
(and it's called "soft brick")
(sry for my bad english)
Well..if that happen, u have to repair your phone using SEUS or PC Companion..or repair it using flashtool if u have the Stock file..if u don't there are threads providing it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=921637
