I want to know if I can flash the C900B with the Quantum C900AT because I got some problems on my device. It is unlocked.
I FLASH DIFERENTS BUILDS OF THE SAME CATEGORY, without problem. Then I try flashing the ATT firmware to the C900B but the program dont let me do it.
Yes, it is possible.
But with a hacked dll from me.
I will start a new thread on this.
So far i have flashed my bell c900b to at&t and telstra c900k no problem.

I have a galaxy S 4 for Cricket model SCH-R970C. I need to unlock the phone to able to use the SIM slot outside the U.S. I've been able to root the phone and I tried flashing a i9505 ROM thinking that would unlock the use of the SIM with no luck. The baseband modem firmware does not change when I flash a different ROM. There is little to no info out there about the cricket GS4. Is it possible to flash different modem firmware so that the phone can behave as an i9505 model? The hardware is the same... just can't change the modem firmware.
I need this ASAP otherwise I need to find a new phone! I'm not in the US now and calling Cricket is not an option. I tried flashing a different modem firmware using ODIN but it fails. What am I missing?
Any help would be appreciated. I'm willing to "donate" $$ for a solution. Thanks.

Hi,
You should not flash a modem that is not meant for your phone.
You are risking a brick if you try it.
Your best bet may be to just buy an unlock code online.

No, i gave up on the phone. I don't think it's that easy to change the baseband firmware on the phone. I didn't try buying an unlock code, but that might be the only solution for now - just make sure the unlock code is specifically for the cricket model.
Has any managed unlock it? I need older modems in order to complete. The unlocking please provide me with them if you have.
Hi guys i have an M919V s4 and my question is can i flash a different variants say for example 1337M modem file to mine, im trying to flash an old modem so that i can unlock my phone using the *#0011# method. I am rooted and running a custom rom so what do you guys think is it possible? Could i flash another variants modem unlock my phone then flash my carriers rom and keep the unlock?

I doubt it. It's not made for your model so chances are it won't flash or won't work. Try using RegionLock Away or finding your phone's older firmware on sammobile and extracting the modem with 7zip and ext2explore.
Hi Guys
I've just got a LG G2 from EE (UK). I will unlock it first and then I want to root it and flash new rom.
But, I noticed there is no EE (UK) subsections in the forum. Can anyone point me which thread is the right one for me to root my G2 from EE UK?
In settings/about/software, can you see model number D80? and rom software name?

The model number is LG-D802. So I should use 'G2 Android Development (D802)'?
yep..
it's probably sim free too
to root.... ota to latest kitkat, then use towel root and then install SuperSU from the market. Or find the latest ioroot, which is 25 I think, the thread is in the g2 android development section here .. both methods are very easy
then if you want custom recovery for flashing roms just install autorec for your variant, don't use the wrong version. just double check your installing the d802 one. autorec thread is in the development section too.
warning.. golden rule is to never take ota if you have a custom recovery installed, or you will be following one of the more technical threads to unbrick.
note.. these methods are for KitKat.. for jellybean I don't know

Any UK open will work fine.
Just anything that support d802 will work fine.
I'm on tmobile.

Just ordered my wife a G2, it is unlocked however it is the AT&T variant and we are on Tmo. I have read that someone took a Tmo rom and made it possible to flash this to the AT&T model along with the KK baseband so that we can use Tmos wifi calling. However I would like to know if I can simply just flash a Tmo stock image and flash the KK baseband if this will work or am I looking into this all wrong?
This is where I read about the Tmo on AT&T rom:
http://phoneprouser.com/lg-g2-rom-that-supports-wifi-calling-on-att/1007/
Can anyone tell me if the ROM mentioned in the link above is this the latest ROM for the G2? Thank you in advance.
Side Question, if I want to flash Cyanogenmod and still want to retain the wifi calling can I flash the Tmo rom along with the aforementioned KK baseband?

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE AND COMPLETE NO GO, FLASHING A FACTORY IMAGE FOR A DIFFERENT MODEL CAN HARD BRICK YOUR DEVICE, IN FACT I'D PRETTY MUCH GUARANTEE IT!!! GO INTO THE ATT DEVELOPMENT THREAD AND FIND SAID T MOBILE ROM FOR YOUR DEVICE, FLASH THAT IF YOU WANT TO. As an answer to the side question there is no way to retain wifi calling on cyanogenmod, especially on a non tmo device. Finally as for the baseband find out what baseband the respective ROMs need (the tmobile one for ATT G2s or the CM build you choose to use).
Hello
I think i've found a way to get unlocked bootloader.
I saw this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/leon/help/recovery-mode-lg-leon-h340n-t3279324 (look at post #4 by bkpaokfc)
He flashed it, but no signal because its MetroPCS version.
What if we flash MetroPCS or TMO version, unlock bootloader and then install normal kdz back?
Btw. i think TMO version would work for me because i have polish TMO simcard.
@bkpaokfc - Maybe you will now something

Check it how it works, flash 5.1.1 kdz then install the rom if we get the 5.1.1 kdz we could have the rom for Europe phones.always remember 5.1.1 can be unlocked, without that we can't do nothing.
