intresting links, thank you, my question was more inside the phone, but now I could suspect it's a bootloader flashing tool

I think it was SLDR and SLDR2 rather bootloader.. But bootloader maybe too.
Will check!

[Q] Does anyone know what this means?

And how to fix it!?
Basically for the last two days I have been trying to root my phone unsuccessfully. The problem is with the hboot driver and it not working. The first time i installed the driver it seemed to go fine, but after plugging my Wildfire into the usb I got a new hardware message and it was trying to find "ADB"..
Anyways unrevoked obviously did not find my phone so today I have uninstalled the driver and tried to update it again. At first it seemed to be going well, but then it asked for winusbcoinstaller.dll from disc.. I tried to link a picture but because of my low post count I cant.
Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it?
Many thanks in advance and sorry if its in the wrong section.

Yes, you are. The downgrade guide is valid only for the CN Froyo Release, which had a HBOOT version 0.83

Im sure someone will come up with something, well im hoping anyway

Gingerbread for AT&T users with locked bootloaders

At this point it seems that once flashing this you may not be able to revert to a lower firmware without unlocking your BL! This build also may not receive OTAs. So in summary flashing this may cripple your ability to OTA!
URGENT!! Flashing any SBF 1.8.3, 1.5.7, or 1.2.6 using RSD after updating via this method results in permabrick!

DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! (worked for me and a couple other guys)
No need for this thread anymore Samcripp has put together way better instructions and is receiving way more traffic please use his thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1159950
1. Flash 1.8.3 SBF
2. Download file rename update.zip
3. Place file in root of your EXTERNAL SDCARD
4. Reboot into stock recovery and apply update.zip
File is here...
This has been decided to be causing to much damage so the file has been removed. Thread can remain open for support though.

There are still some people out there that have not unlocked their bootloaders, this is for those people.
You linked to "Blur_Version.4.1.83.MB860.ATT.en.US.zip". This is 1.83... not gingerbread.
If it is GB, why the file name is 4.1.8.3?

Otherwise, thanks for the find. If it's stable - I will try it.

No. It hasn't been released. However, the OTA has been pushed, and is available here for manual application if you are a stock, unrooted user, running the stock recovery.
If you're rooted, there are a few stock rooted versions of the 5.07 update in the Development forum.
Yep, they already have an Odex and DeOdexed version under Evo 4G development..
ahh ok but there is a zip file like RUU can use a SD Card? like PC36IMG to software my fone like a brandnew one?

Nope, this RUU never surfaced. You can still downgrade the misc partition to normalize the watermark, as detailed in my 2.18 HBOOT instructions.
You'll just have to HTCDev unlock again first.
I know this is a really old thread, but I'm having related problems. My usb port isn't working and I need the newest 5.07 update in a PC36IMG.zip form. Is there any way you can post one? It would be a great help.

i havent rebooted to linux yet to make a recovery so i can do it properly. but that should boot the stock kernel which ive modifed to inject su binary, youll then need to install supersu from the play store (before or after) booting the image is very important as flahsing it will render your device in operable, while just booting it is if it goes sideways then a reboot will clear it back out
thank you

*free* how to s-off!

mod edit, nothing of value here...
I'd love to try this, but don't want to risk bricking my M8. Anyone feel like being a guinea pig?

I can assure you its almost impossiable to brick it with this method. the boot.img works this way.
You flash the boot.img and reboot into android and under the boot up the boot.img checks hmm is this device able to be s-offed?? and the boot.img checks and if no it will just commit suicide and remove it self and if it works it will s-off. and the boot.img removes it self after first boot so no worries there and its s-off until you choose to unroot it and uns-off it. it works on all the hboots.
flashing kernel is supposed to get your device soffed? Very interesting. BTW aren't you the one that got banned recently?
Have you tried it on any device?
Not again !!!
STOP THIS FAKE STUFF ! DO NOT FLASH THIS ! IT WILL NOT GIVE YOU S-OFF !

So, the thread has been reopened, has anyone used it "successfully" ?
You say it can uns-off, does that work on a device that was previously s-off ed with sunshine ?
Just curious.
Cheers
Thank you bro! Who tried it?
So here is the MD5Sum of the boot.img
c12fae55b5ce4a3e9fbbea5b408cf2bb
So let me compare this MD5 sum with the Mako Twrp 2.8.0.1 img, AKA NEXUS 4 recovery image!!
c12fae55b5ce4a3e9fbbea5b408cf2bb
would you look at that!
It is the exact same image!!!!!! I have also split the image to check this.
DO NOT FLASH! It is a NEXUS 4 RECOVERY IMAGE
N.B: HTC bootloader will probably not allow it to flash, due to dt.img issues.
Are you guys really that naive to believe this is for real !
ITS FAKE !
JUST DONT FLASH THE FILE !
