[Q] Sense 2.1 ROM? - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Is there any Sense 2.1 ROM with all features working (excluding camcorder)? I found only this one, but WiFi and G-sensor doesn't work.

Use sense 3.0?
Everything is fixed now as far as I know

Most of the sense ROMS are working well and fast. These issues belong to the yesteryear for sense 2.1 builds. You should check out the NAND and SD threads for stable and fast Sense 3.0 and 2.1/3 builds.

[Q] Senseless NAND Roms? (Not gingerbread)

I've been searching the nand section for a while now for a senseless rom but i couldnt find any. The only senseless roms i could find are gingerbread (im using gingerbread atm, having some issues from time to time. want to test a lower version) or senseless SD roms.
Anyone know a reliable, stable/fast senseless rom that isn't Gingerbread and if possible not discontinued?

[Q] Which ver. of HTC Sense works well with G2 ver. 2.3.4?

Are the bugs fixed already? Or is there a custom UI that works better?

Not sure what you're asking... Are you looking for the "best" 2.3.4 HTC Sense build? HTC Sense isn't something you add ontop of any G2 ROM, if you want Sense, its going to be a 2.3.4 Sense Desire Z ROM you want...
As mentioned, Sense is part of the ROM, you can't install it alongside your present ROM. You have to flash a ROM that has Sense, and it will completely overwrite your present ROM. So your present ROM Android version doesn't matter.
"Works well" is subjective. Sense 2.x is faster and less memory intensive. Sense 3.0 (Virtuous Unity) works very well, and has some great features. But it takes lots of memory, so sometimes the launcher and other memory hungry apps will fight for the available memory, and boot each other out. But apparently, there are tweaks to improve this (which I haven't personally tried). There are also hybrids of 2.x and 3.0, like InsertCoin.
Thank you very much for the replies. So, how and where do I get the 2.3.4 Sense Desire Z ROM? And how do I install it? I read somewhere that there's some glitch on some ROM like the landscape or WiFi or Bluetooth doesn't work. Is this ROM affected? I'm sorry about the 21Q guys but I'm really a noob.
You can try virtuous sense 2.0. Built based on stock sense 2.3.4 with a few tweaks and improvements

Ok guys, so I found this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1186458 and downloaded myVision, Cyanogen's development tools and Cyanogen DSPManager. What do I do with the 2 Cyanogen files? I know I have to transfer myVision from my PC to the root of my phone's SD card and do the Power and Volume Up thing to boot.
I really like how the phone looks on this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XfYD8rUTE0. Will this work with ver. 2.3.4? Or do I have to downgrade first?

[Q] Most stable NAND rom for EU version?

Hello,
I'm searching for the most stable and function complete android rom for the EU HD2. I searched on the forum and found some similar threads, but they are old, so maybe recent roms gained much stability.
I would prefer gingerbread and a sense UI, but if it's more stable without sense, no problem
It is more stable (and faster) without sense.
Get NDT MIUI, Typhoon or HyperDroid.
depends on what you define as stable
sense and gingerbread still has issues with the camcorder and glitches but there is a fix that disables hardware acceleration that fixes the glitches
I really root for cm7, everything is just so smooth and well functioning. I'm using launcherpro in addition, as I don't really dig the launcher it comes with. With the latest ROM I haven't had a single process being force stopped!

This is the ROM that i have on my device
Android GBLeo Build
Ist very fast, very stable and with sense
and when you want to have it smoother put a radiorom with 576MB ram hack on your device!
cm7 or ultimate droid 3.3
Cyanogenmod 7!
I will vote Cyanogenmod 7 as well and to be more specific this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1013852
Gingerbeard 2.3.5
Stable
Fast
Low battery consume (about 5-7mA)
and with some good tweaks!
Give it a try
it depends on what kind of rom you want
I for one and used many and satisfied me most is iMilk's Vision Sense v5.0
I'm testing the rom Android ROM GBLeoR3 2.3.3SENSE2.1 HD2
and so far I'm very happy you only have a small bug and Video Camcoder not 100%
Hyperdroid CM7 - best rom for EU HD2.
Fast, smooth, light and NO LAGS.
All recent sense builds lag for EU HD2
Have some one stable, fast and energy save ROM on Android 2.3.x with SENSE 3
I'm using a EU mobile and I have to say these two are the best for Simplicity, fast, Stable, and Clean ROM (my personal experience)

I experiment with alot of the ROMs especially trying out the new Sense 3.5 ones but I always keep a copy of NexusHD2 on my memory card as I can pretty much guarantee eventually I'll come across something that doesn't work properly and end up reverting back to it. Probably the most stable ROM out there and everything works.
Using RAfdroid with sense...works perfect!!a part for the camcorder....
Yes, its good Rom. But I need Rom with HTC Sense 3...

I'm using Typhoon CM7 and LauncherPro and have the launcher force closed sometimes - especially when I switch from an active app back to the homescreen. Otherwise, it works fine.

Working camcorder 800x480 on sense+gingerbread 2.3.3 !!!

Hello,
I've found the ONLY rom with sense+android 2.3.3 that has the camcorder working great with no lag AT ALL at 800x480 resolution.
It's e334's port of HTC Evo 4G which you can find here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1197751
and it's superfast due to its ram method !!! (AND old sense)
This proofs that the hd2 can handle camcorder correctly even on android 2.3.3 then WHY isn't it working on ALL other sense 2.1/3.0/3.5 on android 2.3.x ???
Isn't it possible for the DEVS to port the working necessary parts (libraries/drivers/apk...) of this rom's camera to newer sense roms ???
I would if I had enough knowledge .... and would have made happy a big number of hd2 addicts

The issue is also a conjunction of the kernel and Sense 3.0+, that rom is using an older version of Sense so that's the other piece of the puzzle

I must disagree. The issue isn't sense3+ related (exists even on sense2.1) but is obviously drivers+kernel related.
This Rom uses marc's kernel (which I successfully updated to 0.1.5) the same one used on most sense3.5 roms available. Android base is also the same as other sense3.5 roms (2.3.3). So what remains different ?
Please correct me if I'm wrong ...
is the way 3.0 handles drivers+ kernel. 2.1 and 3.0 are totally different in how they handle it, true some parts are related but do not work in conjunction thus camcorder issue

Yes, that's true ^
so its only by developing the kernal that the camcorder problem can be solved
