[Q] mod help for virtuous unity 2.35 - myTouch 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I love this ROM but will enjoy it more if it was possible to have stock 4G and battery icons with a transparent pulldown with recent apps. I know that's a lot to ask but if someone can get them all together in one zip for me I will appreciate it much. BTW, I find stock 4G and battery icons, I find transparent pulldown with recent apps but just can't get them to work together. Please plz plz

You shouldve looked in the theme and app section first.
In the link I posted I have a zip of the 4g icons that work with the latest vu. Also a step by step on how to add the the 4g icon. For other mods you can also check the same thread or do your own in uot kitchen. Its how I do it.
You can see from my screenshot. My own 4g icon I extracted to work with vu2.35, no clock in status mod(by jack_r1), then androdian top bar, custom battery and transperant bright silence pulldown all done in uot kitchen.

The easiest way to get all the mods you want is to do them yourself. Uot kitchen is easy to use. Everything you need is already there. The way I do it is going to kitchen and and applying all the mods you want and kitchen will zip them all for you and all you have to do is flash. Then once you flash the zip from kitchen with all mods, do the 4g icon mod. Then you'll have all the mods. You want.

Might even consider using MetaMorph if its just a theme, he has a tutorial and template laying around the intertubez somewherez.

Manually messing with files is a complete wrong approach to theming CM7-based ROMs. Look up some theme manager howto. More stuff can be done via metamorphs in case this is not enough for you.

Notification bars

I know this is the Optimus One forum. I have a Phoenix and I look to this forum because I haven't found one for the Phoenix and I use the stuff on this forum. Does anyone have or know of a clear or black notification bar zip for me to flash onto my Phoenix. Thanks for the help.

im not sure if there are any flashable zips for your phone, but you can try your luck with the uot kitchen. you can create your own flashable zip to your liking under the tab "statusbar"
I'll give it a try. I don't mind trying something for the optimus one either. I am using the ice cream sandwich lockscreen and icons. They work flawlessly.

Here is the script.
Code:
go to the themes and apps section
hit the search button, upper right corner
type in "4g icon"
hit enter
watch the magic happen.

init.d on stock GB

Hey guys. I've been googling and looking through /system/etc folders for a few hours, trying to add init.d to the stock GB ROM I'm cooking for my wife. I can't seem to find a tutorial for our phone. Can someone drop a link for me?
I'm using the unity v10 beta kernel. I'm assuming it supports init.d, but I may be wrong. Should I switch to Darkside v7?
She is still on Froyo. Ugh. I'm trying to upgrade her in style AND learn a few things.
Thanks.

ROM kitchen gives an option to add that while cooking. I selected it for my debloated stock rom that I posted.
