I've got a really odd problem where when playing audio through my headset, the lyrics are really quiet, and some of the background instruments are much louder. tried CM7 and MIUI and it was present in both, any ideas what could be up?
Problem solved, the problem was with the headsets I tested with not the phone. Since they were iPhone style they needed a converter cable to work properly. Happened to find the answer JUST after posting this even though I'd been searching before T-T
Hey guys,
Since the first day I bought defy (04.2011.) I`m having some strange audio issues. In the beggining some players, like Winamp, had crackling noises when changing the song on my Defy but that`s ok now, maybe was the app code problem, and the latest problems are related to media audio effects (in sound settings).
Currently I`m having extreme bass option selected and everything is working fine until I get a call, or I call someone, and after ending a call I can hear that the sound on my headset is different like someone turned off audio effects even though they are turned on. turning them off and on again donesn`t make any difference. After I reboot my phone everything is ok again.
In the beggining problem was only with Google`s music player and atrix music player (like that in MSGinger) but now I`m having this problem even with Poweramp, Winamp, Playerpro which leaves me only with CMP since all the other have ugly UI so I`m not going to try them.
It was happening on 2.2.2CEE, 2.3.6en.EU (BL7 nandroid) and now I flashed BL6 SBF, 2.3.6 en.FR and the problem still persists.
Is anyone else having this strange issue and how, if there is a solution, to solve this??
Thanks for any help. Sorry for my long post
P.S. Red lensed Defy manufactured in the beginning of 2011.
Hi,
I have recently bought Motorola defy XT535 Indian version, after using for about a week, I have realized that the phone is not giving the full sound output when earphones are plugged-in, but when someone call/or I make call while music/video is playing ..the actual full sound comes back, and it goes back to same situation as soon as music is pause/stopped.
I have revisited all the settings, but could figure the reason, also looked through google and there is no solution.
I will be grateful if anyone could help on this.
If you can give us more info we can help you to sort it out

Have you got any solution?
Have you got any solution to this issue. I'm possessing a motorola defy xt 535 and music over the headphones seems to be average. When i'm listening to music and if i receive any call amidst listening to music and as soon as the call is over my music volume suddenly increases to double which actually becomes untolerable.
I tried with other music players as well on google play alongwith some volume control and volume lock options but nothing seems to be helpful.
Please share with me if you've any fix for this issue.

I also have the same problem. The sound is normaly very low, so everytime i need to call some fake number to volume up in the end of the call to turn to "normal" volume level.
Another thing I noted, not all headphones work ok with XT535. The original work ok, but every other the sound is very low and ethereal, looks like one channel are not connected.
Guys I need help in fixing my inbuilt mic. Volume is very low and friends on other side are unable to listen anything. Though it is working when I use Skype, viber or recording.
This happens few days after upgrading to KitKat and didn't solved after 4.4.2 upgrade. Let me know how to fix this.
Thanks in advance!!
Got the same issue
Just thought I'd chime in and say I have the same problem after the update to KitKat... Bummer
When recording the voice with whatever software there's no issue but callers say I sound very low/very far away from the mic. No difference between using the phone's mic or using a wired headset. Have yet to test a bluetooth headset (I do not have one).
I'm on Nexus 4, stock rom, 4.4.2. Any tips or ideas would be appreciated.
Hello everyone, I hope all is well!
I have this bug on Omni Rom Nightly 4.4, namely build omni-4.4.2-20140312-yuga-NIGHTLY, it's that all sound (music, notifications) plays on wired handset, except in-call sound. Even the end-of-call tone can be heard, but no sound from the caller (incoming/outgoing) is heard.
I'd be grateful if someone pointed me toward some solution to this, or has info regarding the issue, as I'm a new Omni Rom user, and so far I'm very satisfied and I'd like to keep on with it for daily usage.
Thanks in advance,
Kind Regards
Edit: Issue still present on build 20140313.
