so pls
"Not found" because you don't know how to search
http://erkinson.altervista.org/en/sony-ericsson-xperia-x8-smontaggio-e-sostituzione-display-touch/
ithunther: i have no idea how to recognize the digitizer just by looking at the IC because i never looked at one.. Maybe you'll get lucky and it's printed on it.
lotus13: it took you more time to color that google word than it would to actually help him
EDIT: this is not X8s' digitizer but as a reference, you can clearly see "synaptics" written on the IC.. Maybe ours has it too
http://www.mobiletechworld.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/KIN-screen-digitizer.jpg
thanks(already pressed)
i know some one will give me way hope so.....
some 1 already post but i cant search (not found)
digitizer and it's chip is the transparent plastic on the front cover together with the brownish foil where you see chip with Synaptics logo. that's it, nothing else is TS controller.
Sent from my R800i
oh it means if their is Synaptics logo on ic this is Synaptics touch and if not this is cypress ??
I'm trying to learn ppl to help themselves rather ask.
i think u r spamming by using mf... what should i do ? report abuse ? @lotus13
lotus13: if google was the answer to all questions then why does this forum exists?
ithunther: i'm going to open my phone and take some photos, brb..
I will never open my phone again.. It's so FRUSTRATING when you have a little gain of dust inside the phone, between the screen and the digitizer, and everytime i cleaned it another one appeared!!!! AHHGR!!! i finally used a brush my sister uses for make up but god, it was so frustrating..
Here is the controller :

The ROM change would have reset any software issue and you have checked the connections, so I''m afraid it does sound like a hardware fault. I presume the backlight never comes on and you see ?? nothing on screen?
Perhap there are others who have experienced this?
Mike
yea the backlight never comes on but i dont see my today screen and stuff i can still use it but its preeetty hard using it without the backlight haha. hopefully someone has the same problem and fixed it. i hope its not the hardware.... thanx for the reply thought i was going to be left alone hahah
can anyone help me??? or has a solution to this problem??
i just put in a order for another screen hopefully its the screen that is defective....
The main backlight is generated in a pcb of the Flash unit(camera flash). It´s located inside of the rear case, and have a small screw that the subject one to the internal antenna. This pcb have a connector in the under side. If this connector (or the complete pcb) is disconnected, removed, liquid damage or broken, the main backlight don´t works.
Does it exist ?
Thanks

Which one did U order ?
Well the Motorola does not work...
It is only 5 pins and I would say we need a 11 pin (but with the shape of a standard miniUSB).
Anybody ???
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Earphone-Ad...000UUQGEY/ref=pd_sbs_ce_5/026-7500996-0698034
11 pin USB to 3.5mm
meant to work on all HTC
Thanks...
But the mini USB has a different (symetric) shape on the IPAQ.
are you sure your USB is 11pin? having a look at mine its only 10 pin, both the port on the 612 and the HP hands free.
You can DIY (btw 10pin)

Think that's the antenna you've mashed.. not a reset switch..

What can I do now
dude, you need to reset using the settings menu .. not by clicking or poking anything behind the battery.
If you really think you smashed your antenna, only a service center can help you now on this. Sorry mate !!
suggest you PM Mckebapp to ask him what that is - He's dismantled his x10 several times and will be able to tell exactly what you've prodded..
i have this problem too i live in lebanon sent my phone to dubi to c if they will knw what is the problem what u did wont affact anything only if u did brack it im sure u didnt... what is the problem here in lebanon they said a softwear problem but they did not knw how to fix so u must send so they rapear it or if lucky give u a new one that is what im hoping best of luck tc
Ouch.. I think only Windowsn Mobile have hard reset switch you can poke. Best to take it to your nearest SE centre
Salam my friend,
install an unrooted firmware again.
I'm pretty sure, that will already do the trick.
Afterwards you can poke around with an rooted firmware, to install Arabic fonts.
The worst thing, that could have happened after piercing into that hole on the back, is that the external antenna connector is crushed.
Its just a sub miniatur RF-Connector and not the antenna itself.
Wa Salam,
McK

Thank you, i intend to replace my front cover.
i think you shoud wait... i have removed the old front cover and now i have touch problems(i press certain area and the phone rigesters another area) don't know what to do??
i believe that my phone is out of warranty now.
if any one knows where the problem is please help!
the phone is now back from the repair center ... they have replaced the whole screen with touch ... it had cost me a lot of money "about 500 LE" and the phone now isn't the same as it was before this ... so i don't recommend any one of you to do this without being completely careful ...
now my phone is out of warranty ... and i have to pay extra money to revert it back to it's original case ... so BE CAREFUL with what you are doing as this is not easy as it seems to be.
Yes I fu**ed up mine too. First it was some indentation on the front upper rim, then the camera lens cover, so I decided I was up to a DIY work. I've often refurbished my dear SE phones to look as new but this level four repair has proven to be beyond my reach. The local service co. returned the phone in the same state and said no can do.
T'is the time I had to admit I really love this crappy piece of software on a wonderfully sweet hardware and have to get another one back, as price dropped as low as its makers dropped the phone itself.
Next SE X2 I will lay my hands on will have all my TLC and probably end up years from now as a stylish portable FM radio player, aside to an old R520m I use as the ultimate alarm clock with light sensor snooze.
thank for share

thanks very good
Hi there,
My phones touch screen broken last month, I ordered a new digitizer with frame from China, I replaced broken screen carefully, then I turned on my phone, but I saw white lines on the screen.

Then I saw this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52414185&postcount=122 I thought it may be a kernel- digitizer incompatiblity.. I rooted my phone first time in my life, then flashed that kernel in the post, then phone is completely bricked.. now I see a black empty screen, it says "fast_boot started" etc. I googled and I saw some posts however nothing solved my problem.
I believe my phone is not bricked since it gives a response of black fastboot screen.. Can you please help me? I am a total Android noob, please don't just say "go to the download mode" tell me how to go to the download mode as well you can share links as long as they works..
I hope I can make my phone work again.
Finally, if I managed turn on my phone, can I really make the white lines disappear with software tweaks or my new touchscreen hardware is broken?
Thanks in advanced,
Eray
anyone?
I don't personally flash non stock roms, but if you read on the post with those type of roms a lot of them talk about a "JDI kernel" for the white line issue... Once again I have not personally seen it so I am not sure if that is what you have pictured, but it is worth a shot... Go to the forum where you got the rom you are on and look for a JDI kernel..
Reading your post it sounds like you had never installed a ROM until the screen issue arose with your new screen, if that's the case then redoing a ROM won't work for you as far as fixing the lines. Most people have found that issue to be permanent anyway and there is some debate on whether or not it is a flaw with the screen itself. Check my profile, I have a thread I did when I replaced my screen. It covered where I got it from and had a link for a great how two on youtube. If you get the date one it'll be a lot and not job. Your phone isn't bricked BTW. This forum has a wealth of knowledge on how to go about anyhing you wish to do. Whether it is to fix an issue or tweak to your hearts content. The search tool is your friend. Feel free to scroll my posts via my profile too. A while back I helped someone and covered a lot of different steps. If that doesn't get you any where let me know and I will see what I can dig up

I had the same problem last night. The solution is:
do you see that little tongue at the bottom of the screen full with resistant?
That little thing is sort cutted by the white antenna connetor when you put it together.
