Whats the best rom to use thats fast and works good.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App

Pretty much all of the ones in the dev section are good. My advice: flash every one that you find interesting, use it for a day and if you hate it, flash a new one until you find one you like.

works well....

I recommend: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1203761
It has been flawless for me. Lag free. Battery lasts all day. I even got the Profile and PRL to update by formatting my cache and dalvik-cache from recovery (Amon Ra).

Kings ROMs seem to be the best out

This is completely up to you. Sense vs AOSP vs a blend of both? What do you prefer?

I just want speed fast internet browsing

Kinged Shooter is working well for me. Check them out in the XDA dev forum

Went on flashing overdrive since last week basically tried almost every ROM available
Ended up sticking with with Synergy Rls1. It's fast and stable and I'm a big fan of Warm Theme that goes well with that ROM.

Yeah I personally think that Synergy RLS1 is one of the most stable roms out there, also with decent battery life out of the box.

If AOSP is your thing, I would recommend SalvageMod 1.4 atm. Very bare bones with my fav Cyanogen elements, mainly notification switches.

+1 for salvage -mod

MikG for sense
Decks for aosp

I'm running the latest beta of Decks & LOVE IT!

I would highly recommend Evolved Recharged. Probably one of the best ROMs out there right now.

so far my favorite is the MikG Sense 2.1-3.0 v2.5...
haven't had ANY problems with it at all so far, unlike a few others I've flashed recently.
It runs smooth & fast & everything works....

I had the best luck with the Sprint Lovers ROMs as well as kushdeck's clean and easy ROMs. I've been away from my EVO for a few months now (switched to Verizon and the Thunderbolt), but those were my go-to everyday use ROMs. Fast, stable, and no bloat.

I've started using CM7 with the CM6 turbo snap kernel and it's been insanely fast for me. but if anyone has any better suggestions, let me know

Def Miui. No doubt best rom there is. Only rom that I can honestly get a full days out of it. Soooooooo man customizations built right in. Only complaint about it is is that there is no 4G. Everything else works to perfection. Fastest, smoothest, best UI, best battery life, nothing beats it.

Myn's Synergy is pretty darn good too. And now he has an alternate version called Synergy+God mode which has more tweaks.

Your last 2 aren't really stock. They are customized/modded.
The first was stock and this one would be 99.5% stock.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=743781
what is stock
I guess I am using the word stock interchangeably with 3.70.651.1 because I dont know any better
I see the http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=HTC_Supersonic/ROMs with base rom in it
that is provided by sprint, right?
Stock would mean as HTC/SPRINT released it.

3.70 is a currently unreleased version of presumably "official" HTC software. So it's "stock", presumably, but still an unofficial release.

Swyped from my myn powered evo using the XDA app... Become a mynion..you won't regret it!
Myn's rom sucks the life out of the battery so quickly, it's insane! What I did, was rooted my phone using unrevoked 3.3(i think) and after testing a lot of roms, I decided just to use my stock sprint rom. And I added a kernal just for it's increased battery life and a slight increase in cpu speed. (netarchy toastmod 4.3-bfs-nohavs-sbc). Im getting 37-38 mflops on linpack. It's extremely stable btw! I also have adw ex installed (it has a gingerbread theme if you want that 2.3 look, or a galaxy s theme, which im currently using). Im just saying if you want a stable phone with increased battery life (my battery lasted from 7am to 1130pm with moderate use) and no charging.
Jst a sidenote, if you want a little bit more speed, you can probably go look for a stock de-odexed rom. That plus the custom kernal should work great
Try Ricsim's Turbo
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=864501
I have flashed many a ROM, and this is by far the best; I use it as a daily driver, and EVERYTHING works flawlessly (gps, 4G, WiFI tether, etc).
As far as custom kernels, I am just using stock HTC #15 kernel included in ROM, and have experienced great battery life; however, I am using Seido 3500 battery. I only have to charge my battery every other day, and I use the sh*t out of my phone.
I also average 35--37mflops on Linpak and 1250--1300 on Quadrant.
You won't be disappointed.
the reason I am afraid to try custom roms is battery life too
it already sucks
right now I find myself charging my evo at least twice in a day!
Most of us are getting awesome battery life from myns rom... Those that aren't usually have an app or setting that is causing the problem... The rom is awesome... Fast and smooth...
Swyped from my myn powered evo using the XDA app... Become a mynion..you won't regret it!
I'm getting good battery life with Sprint lovers Rom and netarchys 4.3 aggressive cfs kernel.

lol nice.
just to be helpful, here's a quote from a post of mine.
ok, here goes.
first of all, yes this has been asked a thousand times per day, but people have fun answering them
sense roms are based off stock evo sprint software. if you like sense roms, you best choices will be:
myn's warm twopointtwo, for a smooth, themed, and slick stockish experiance, try this oldie but goodie.
mikfroyo, updated more often. optimized way over the top. i personally don't like the theme, and think if you want that speed go for aosp, but whatever. a bunch of people like it.
koni's elite. one of the newer good sense roms. good themeing. fast. optimized. everything else the other two have, just different...
aosp roms are based off stock google source code. they are not built for the evo (or until like 2 weeks ago, not built for sprint, cdma, or wimax) but have been ported exelently. these are much faster than sense, and about half the size. they have a different look, feel, and functionality though. they are based on gingerbread, not froyo like stock evo.
cm7 (cyanogenmod 7): simply the best. most other aosp roms based off of this. a gigantic project that spans across ~30 phones with ~24 official developers and many more unnoficially contributing to the open sourced code. fast, stable, WORKING 4G AND HDMI!!! (took monts to do those 2). everything works (except 720p video recording, but 480 is just as good). really, try this one first. nightlys are released every night, stables are not. you can see the very complicated changelog along with links here: http://cm-nightlies.appspot.com/?device=supersonic
miui: based (sorta i think) off cm7. very iphone-like rom. built to have the best of iphone and android, with some added goodies. i persoanlly don't like it, but many swear by it. sorta a you like it or you don't thing. 4g doesn't work.
deck's: another cm7 based rom. basically slimmed down cm7. idk why you'd need to slim something already half the size of sense down further, but some people claim unreal battery life. 4g and hdmi also work cuz it's based on cm7
savagedzen rom: NOT built from cm7 (yes, this is a bragging right), very stock gingerbread, with lots of kernel tweaks. not based on cm7, yet 4g and hdmi work.
salvagemod: even more stock gingerbread. 4g works. not hdmi.
ports: the name explains it all. 4g doens't work for these, except the rare exceptions. virus is the one who's ripping out port after port after port recently.
a sense hd port: mik and myn both have one of these. froyo with sense 2.1. no 4g.
virus gingersense: sense 2.1, gingerbread. no 4g, but the rest is working.
virus kingdom port: based on an unreleased, unrevealed device called the htc kingdom. 4G WORKS. still in deep beta. sense 3.0, and gingerbread. sense 3.0 is pretty crazy.
so yeah. i personally use cm7 with tiamat 4.0.2 kernel and a modnation theme (whichever we r testing). try as many as u like. if you like it, make a backup.
I remember that post.
And yes, I support CM7 + Tiamat Kenel. Game WINNER.

Best rom in your opinion?

So after surfing the roms for 2 days to see which one suits me better
I came across the rom mexxdroid preghostchilli which is pretty cool its fast has a cool theme and some nice animations it also has this bootanimation thats awesome and it has sound
So i decided to keep it as my default rom until a new version comes out or the honeycomb port. Ecomes stable and fast
Know its your turn to share your thought on which rom you think is the best!

Can people pleeeeaaaaseeee stop making these threads??
You will find someone with each ROM that's happy with it. Everyone has a different feel for what works for them. You don't want to use the ROM that they like, you should use the ROM that you like.
This thread has been created dozens of times with a myriad of answers already.
The above poster is absolutely correct. Each user will have individual tastes and desires out of a rom. I suppose all of this delves back into the ultimate issue of overall user experience. Perhaps why the CM line is so successful is that they unify that experience across a multitude of devices and generally make sure things work.
I'm very happy with Virtuous Sense v2.0.0
leedroid or miui bulletproof
Best one I've had so far pyromod. Super fast and my battery does last longer than 24 hours now with pershoot's kernel. Does have some issues with installing apps from the sdcard.

I agree with the above quote however to answer your question. The answer is bulletproof miui. Backup your existing rom and use rom manager to download and install.
In my opinion, PyroMod. A2EXT runs smooth on my phone.

Image in the post above is awesome.
Calling one ROM "better" than another is an insult to the devs that work hard to give us these ROMs. Each ROM has its own merits. A better thing to ask would be "What is your favorite ROM?". Even so, there are many threads on this topic.

THANK YOU.
I always thought the Mexdroid/PyroMod p*ssing contest was extremely immature. I like the eye candy behind Mexdroid, but PyroMod has the speed.
I happen to like Virtuous G-Lite the best because it has the best battery life and it is definitely the lightest and fastest-performing ROM that I've tried. That being said it doesn't have a lot of the addition "features" and styles of other more custom ROMs but through the use of GO Launcher and just replacing a lot of the stock Android apps with others it is pretty much infinitely customizable. For instance, pretty much the only stock android app I still use is the phone dialer. I've replaced the messaging app, gallery, camera, launcher, and even browser (XScope is pretty awesome btw, thanks Amazon App of the Day).
That's just my two cents but it really is a personal preference.
The lastest Virtuous Unity beta. Seriously, the next stable version will be amazing...
Sense 3.0 run so smooth on this rom!

I just found the miui launcher the other day and after trying it realized there is VERY little I could remember about the rom that was different besides the launcher itself(which the independent app really did a good job of) and the status bar pulldown options. It had a few differences in settings like cm7 does.. but outside those little differences miui seems more launcher than rom.
I never gave revamped much of a try because I didn't like miui(for above reasons) and didn't see much difference..
Revamped has tweaks and things the devs do to make their version of miui the best it can be. Flash miui.us first and after a week flash revamped. See if you notice a difference in the level of awesomeness.
Vibrant+MIUI
I would also like to hear some user feedback of MIUI Revamped.
I came from CM7 and gave MIUI.US a shot, and haven't gone back since. I love the smoothness and the interface of the ROM. With Neo 17 my battery life is ridiculously good... and GPS works great with the CM7 GPS fix posted in the development section. I just don't know if I could want any more out of this phone currently. Its fast, battery efficient, everything works as it should...
I want to try revamped, and I surely will... but I am interested in some user feedback.
Sent from my T959 using XDA Premium App
Im running miui revamped and i must say ill never go back to 2.2 or gb.....its extremely fast, has added tweaks for modems and kernels,it is100%customizeable from status bar to dialer, message, dock, lock bar to lock screen, everything is customizeable.
Main diff. between the 2 is revamped comes packed with a powered well built kernel, script tweaks, and some apps that you may or may not find useful.
I did find that for me the kb5 modem works better for me than the ka7 modem it comes with.
Never tried stock miui before.now running on miui revamped ss + Bali 1.2.1 kernel. so far so smooth .battery life is good so far.
Go for miui revamped ss.... this rom made me stick with cm7 based gingerbread.

Enjoy
I've noticed a small battery decrease as well from switching from GB. I had to underclock Darkforest to get the same amount.
Still great tho. Just a little slow.
I've only tried regular beta and Darkforest, but I did try 3 different kernels. I found the Darkforest kernel had better battery life than the ICS doomkernel, but worse than advanced stock (when they haven't been tweaked)
The difference in battery life for me between ICS and gingerbread is immense. And as you can see in the Darkforest thread, I had severe graphic errors, lockups.. I thought maybe my hardware was screwed but;
Went to jokawild with doomkernel 11 and all the glitches went away. And my battery life is 2x longer at LEAST. Hour and a half of use took me down to 60%. On ICS the same amount of time killed the battery completely. And I haven't even finished tweaking this gingerbread yet..
Also, ICS was laggy. Constant slight lag, occasional large spikes. Gingerbread when configured right is really fast. If you mostly want ICS for the way it looks and not features, get an ICS theme and stick with gingerbread. The new features, especially changes to system menus and browser, and gapps were great, but simply not worth it IMO.
As time goes on and things speed up, I'm sure it'll become more worthwhile, but not right now
